Leo Ex

Naomi Campbell on the run? I thought i was hallucinating when i saw that tv headline at the gym this morning.

But yes, she’s done it again. I’ve lost track. She slapped her maid. She hit someone with her phone. She did community service mopping floors for something abusive. And now this.

My Leo-Ex interviewed her a while ago and was incoherent with lust, babbling about the brilliance of her hair (he is a Leo), skin, scent, skin tone, physique, hair again, eyes, animal charisma, skin scent, mode of movement etc.  When asked how he found her apparent anger problem, Leo Ex explained that she could be the Antichrist for all he gave a damn.

But still. She is getting some form here.

Astrologically, we look to Madam’s Mars and voila…in Gemini and square to Pluto.  That’s a classic rage-attack waiting to happen. I have Mars conjunct Pluto and used to hit the roof all the time. It’s like being one of those amazing actors who just need one trigger to access whatever the emotion. The drycleaner can’t find your skirt – voomp. Mars-Pluto can be volanic and the square is challenging.

So, for an idea of yours or anyone elses potential anger issues, look to the ‘hard’ (square, conjunction, opposition) aspects made from Mars.

What was the seriously most stupid and/or humiliating thing you did for love or lust? I am thinking more insane scenes when you are – for some truly insane reason – attempting to keep a an idiot of immense f-wittery in your life. I used to know an actress, now well known so am not saying her name, who pulled out a tampon (from the inside of her, yes) and flung it across the face of the gentleman she had just found out was also dallying with her sister. Or was it the sister’s best friend? It was a shock & way too close to home but her reaction was Defcon 1 and in the foyer at a theatre opening. She’s Scorpio.

I think having an officially bats love affair must be compulsory for growth or something. Obviously a whole string of them is cause for concern. Then again, if you have strong Uranian tendencies (no names) then you’re stultified by normal relationships & you have a very High-Bats threshold. It’s the cosy cruising around Ikea that sends you nuts. If you have a strong Leonic vibe in your scope, you might also favour dramatic scenes, even when the situation doesn’t warrant them. I knew a Capricorn with Moon-Uranus in Leo who’d tear her hair out and make the most dire threats at the hint of any scenario involving her in-laws. She’d flirt horrendously to try and provoke her Aquarian (!) husband into making a scene but he never would so she would have to. She’d read loads of Anais Nin, Daphne Du Maurier & Sylvia Plath for inspiration.

My stupidest thing – but fairly innocent – was to turn up at my Leo Ex’s soccer matches when he was playing in goal. And sort of stand behind the goal in full regalia that had taken several hours to perfect & try to cop as much male attention to distract him as poss. It was sort of an on-off-0n again thing at the time and i was very young. The aim was to be surrounded by a throng of men/boys by the time his game finished and then stalk off.  Ridiculous; my guess is that – in general – the Water signs of Pisces, Kataka & Scorp top the list for most OTT love/lust scenes. Then again, Gemini gals do like to go bats when it suits them or if a whim is thwarted.

These hairstyles are reminiscent of both Japanese art nouveau AND crop circles which is so fabulous & modern, if slightly unwearable.

Leos and this is totally true, are obsessed with their hair. I will never forget the first time that my Leo-Ex, soon-to-be father of my son, explained to me his (at the time) Redken ritual. Five products in space-lab style packaging. One man, not yet 25 & living off being a music reviewer + free drinks/food at gigs/gallery openings…yet able to miraculously afford N.A.S.A standard hair care.He was the first man i had ever known (my first Leo!) who could emote about his hair in 20 minute monologues.

Yet, irony of ironies, it is often the opposite sign to our Leo – Aquarius – who have the most iconic & culturally influential hair. I am thinking Farrah, Jennifer Aniston in Friends, Axl Rose, John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, Oprah, Bob Marley & even Christie Brinkley. They are all hair icons. Amongst other things. Name one Leo Hair icon?  They’re so jealous of Aquarians hair Qi.

So Leos are the most Hair-Obsessed, Aquarians have the most Culturally Iconic Hair and Sagittarians are the most likely to wear their hair long if-they-can & no matter what.

I am actually also interested in what sign/astro-cliche/transit coincides with people’s most fussy and neurotic hair phase. Over-ornate chignons adopted to please some controlling weirdo, insane hair extensions and/or an addiction to bleach that would rival the upkeep costs of any cokehead.
