Eight_lgeLucy Deslandes – Energy Magic

Monthly Flying Stars 7th December – 4th January

Monthly energies can be a trigger that may lead to an increase in certain types of experiences. If you spend long periods of time in an area such as working, sleeping or your entrance is located in a particular sector have a look below and see if you experience any of the issues mentioned below.  If so you may want to try a remedy and see if that helps to harmonise things.

SOUTH EAST – Arguing more? Problems with contracts? Some bright red here can work well such as a red vase or lamp. Don’t go overboard as we don’t want to activate any of your homes challenging energies.

SOUTH – Can’t find the perfect partner? Give the South sector a good clearing out and make the area as beautiful as possible. If your entrance is here you may find an improvement in opportunities to make money this month.

SOUTH WEST – Getting parking fines or having issues with authorities? Then give this area a good clutter clear.

WEST – Have you or your finances been sick more than usual this year? If you’re bedroom or main entrance is in the west that could be your problem. Place a brass calabash here as it will help to absorb this particular sickness energy. Given the monthly energy you may find a bit of reprieve in December.

NORTH WEST – The challenging 5 monthly star flies into the North West for December which could signify problems with the head or kidneys especially if your bedroom is here so placing the sound of metal here works well. This could be metal bells on a door or metallic ornaments.

NORTH – The energy in the north is challenging this year and the monthly energy feeds this so be careful if sleeping in this area of obstacles and general challenges. The sound of metal works well or a brass pagoda can be placed here.

NORTH EAST – Theft may be an issue so ensure your doors and windows are secure in this area of the house and a splash of red will help harmonise this energy.

EAST – Think before you speak – communication may be a problem and this is enhanced this month. If you find you are experience any digestive problems place a brass calabash in this area for the month of December

Important Note: These are monthly Feng Shui energies & this is general Feng Shui advice, without – obviously – taking into account your unique living situation.  Ideally, one has one’s house’s base Feng Shui done first.

Your Ascendent is the same as your Rising Sign. If you do  not know it – and you do know the time of your birth – you can check it out via Astrodienst.

Transits to the Ascendent are MAJOR. Especially when featuring one of the Outer Planets: Uranus, Neptune & Pluto. They have profound, overt, life-altering and enduring effects. Your Ascendent is how you relate to the world, your appearance & stance in relationships.  Let’s just do Outer Planets for now. These planets have such long retrogrades that the phase in which  you can consider your Ascendent as being affected by the transit can go for as long as two years.

These are the times when someone walks into your life and changes it, your appearance morphs and/or you reorient yourself radically. An Outer Planet transit to the Ascendent is like having someone hit the ‘restore to factory settings’ buttons on you. Non-you habits, ideas and attitudes that have kind of stuck to you over the years just fall away. It’s amazing  how often a relationship is the catharthis for such a transformation.

All transitting aspects to the Ascendent are interesting but the conjunction is the most powerful. If you have your Ascendent at 20 to 24 degrees of Pisces, then you’ve got Uranus on your Ascendent all year – this is the ‘give me freedom or else’ astro-passage. If you’re not doing it enough, people come into your life who either disrupt it (not so good) or whom inspire you toward emancipation. You’re flip, intellectual and very easily bored.

If your Ascendent is Zero to Four of Capricorn, think Pluto.  This is a super-intense makeover moment going for a couple of years: Ye olde ancient angst surfaces to be burned away by your new-found superstrength. You’re volatile, Phoenixing and unable to tolerate inauthentic situations. If your Ascendent is 23 to 24 degrees of Aquarius, you’re doing Neptune. You’ll be mysteriously alluring, very creative and given to prophetic/lucid dreaming but also amazingly sensitive to drugs and WATCH the ‘redemption’ style relationships.

Any outer planet transit to your Ascendent is a fab time to reorient yourself, be whom you truly are & alter your personal appearance. The Pluto transits in particular are associated with incredible metamorphosis. Strength training and/or martial arts & anything that works with Qi such as reiki or acupuncture is always fantastic during these kinds of transits as they do affect the physical body & you’re trying to channel a whole new you.

il_430xN.45334072Wise Woman Exfoliating

That thing above is $5 from America, hand-made, super-natural organic and she apparently blesses it with some Reiki or whatevs. I am literally typing this post and then going to get one as i am such a scrubber. Always have been & unlike many an addiction this is only getting more pleasant with time.

Exfoliating the body with a proper glove, loofah and or scrubs has an insane amount of benefits from boosting the lymph, fuqing over cellulite right thru to hyped Qi & mood. The benefits of skin-brushing are all over the net – it’s like the most ludicrously cheap (cost of one hemp glove a la the above and/or a brush) but beneficial thing ever for health, mood and skin beauty…I have so been reading the same thing on and off since i was about 12. And as i have Moon in libra i read a LOT of this stuff – I stand in bookstores, speed-reading (Mercury in Aries – remember) for sex and complexion tips.

BUT who actually does the incredible and always recommended by supermods, renowned beauties, cool types, alien naturopaths etc skin brushing?  I think Libra & Pisces DO collect exfoliants – i KNOW the Fire signs (Aries, Leo & Sagg) don’t think about exfoliating nor even understand it. Maybe i have gone too far with this but i use gloves, loofah, scrubs and a brush. I alternate the scrubs depending on mood…I used to think scrubs didn’t matter -technically  you could just grab some brown sugar or celtic salt and do it – but i was given some L’Occitane scrub gunk & it was fuqing unreal – grotty elbows & knees looking like  heaven, general glow and the gritty sense of  a good scrub.

Are you a Scrubber and if so, which sign are you?  Which Venus sign? Which product recommendations or – my suspicion – is the truth that simple hardcore glove scrub things a la the above work best – no product needed, just ye olde style elbow grease?  I do think – and this sounds thunderingly Virgo but it’s true – that a lot of people over-moisturise really dry skin with chemically laden products that make the situation worse. When what’s required is more like more oils in their diet, proper exfoliating so the dead cells don’t clog the complexion and then some organic oils…Slathering your body in chemical shit should not be the answer to anything, let alone skincare.

Go the Saturn-Uranus Opposition.

It is the astro-theme of 2009 & we all get to play it out in some way or another.  The next pass of it is not exact till early Feb but the two planets are merely a few degrees apart. This aspect is applying hard right now. The New Moon Eclipse on Jan 26 is in Aquarius – ruled by Saturn in the olden days & Uranus now. Fantastic new Uranian-Aquarian style visions beckon us into the future whilst Saturnine details demand to be honoured…Now. There is also an internal tug of war between giving a shit what the world thinks of one and the Uranian urge to give society the finger. But if the Saturn side of life (reputation, hard work, security needs, health, sleep, being decent) is not paid homage to, you can say ‘up yours’ to whomever you want but nobody will believe you. Uranian freedom is hard won but it’s fun. Everyday the Saturn-Uranus opposition arcs up: the diet or the big brainstorming lunch? The sedate relationship of tranquility or the bats but individuated romance that looks real bad on paper? Uranus implodes paradigms & structures that aren’t that real in the first place. But indulge in pointless rebellion under such stars & Saturn comes along to clobber one. The trick is – easy to type, I know – is balancing out both these wildly different astro-energies. Take your vitamins, get enough sleep, do your budget and only then do all the disorderly merde.

Does anyone have any useful Saturn-Uranus Opposition tips???
