Yes, Saturn is squaring Pluto and it is SO unspeakably existential as referred to below but – as with any Dark Moon – some respite is to be found in primordial sifting, sorting and decluttering. Plus, because this is in Libra, think a la swooping on your beauty cabinet.

The bathroom is symbolically the domain of our Lady Venus – is yours a haven of beauty, harmony & order? Do you have a coherent skincare regime? It need not be something ludicrously o.t.t. Even just fresh new face-washers folded & awaiting your diligence can feel divine. That + you editing and discarding.

Venus – ruler of the Dark Moon – is of course in Scorpio and moving to square Mars + everything in Aquarius & probably some stray crazy asteroids just for good effect. So if a savage purge of potentially bacteria-infested mascaras, serums that on second-thought are stupid and the lipstick museum (clutter with purchase anyone?) don’t do it for you – get into some Scorped up Venusian culling of the evidence of ANY ex.

Okay, it’s tricky when you have darling children with them but I am not talking about that. You can do the old writing-them-a-letter ritual & then  you burn it. Note – i said burn, not send. You can cease hanging on to memorabilia or a symbol of hope that he/she/it may one day re-detour back into your lovely orbit. You can fix the Feng Shui, do a spell or see a Shaman to get the ‘cords’ cut. Mugwort smudged is a fantastic Dark Moonie thing to do.

Just remember: Libra is the sign of Balance & Beauty, Relationships and Tranquil Diplomacy. If you are to embody the latter, at least, use the power of the Dark Moon + Venus in Scorpio…And as it is the Dark of the Moon right before a Phoenix Moon in Scorpio – you may want to look at this Hecate post again.

Note: It is not a fantastic time for a first date nor to buy beauty products/have procedures done that are hard to change back. And that is my understatement du jour.

A la my post on asteroid Hecate/Hekate the other day.

She is now in Saggo being squared by Venus in Virgo. That’s interesting. That would be – if we were giving asteroids heaps of credibility – like Venus in Virgo trying to be discriminating, witty, worldly & Hecate in Sagg just wanting to go for a wild gallop/do what thou wilt and maybe really angry at not being honoured. Remember Hecate is like the darker feminine. You could argue that her and Lilith operate like lady Plutos. There is a long conversation to be had re all this.

BUT i am actually just posting as the other day, i said Hecate is goddess of Trivia (as in the three roads – three-via) but somehow the name has been, well, trivialised over the years.  Trivial pursuit etc. Where-as note that that hasn’t happened to Jovial – from Jove aka Jupiter and, obviously, a male deity. Anyway, Trivia IS the Roman name for Hecate. So sorry for getting that wrong and is that not interesting?

Like Lilith, Hecate is a Dark Moon Goddess & deals with the more shadowy aspects of our lives. Especially secret woman’s biz. She is sometimes considered a Crone goddess (Crone comes from Chronos, for time) and sometimes a Virgin goddess…but generally she is a Goddess of magic, ghosts, storms, the night, dreams, cross roads and wild animals. She is able to see into all worlds and guards the border between this world and the spirit world.

She is considered the Goddess of Trivia which sounds stupid until you remember that trivia comes from the Latin “tri via” or three streets. A retired Roman soldier was posted at each such junction and was supposed to be able to answer any question at all…no matter how trivial, lol.  Hecate has similarities to Hermes and to Isis along with others. One of the titles was The Distant One and it was her who rescued Persephone when she was taken to the Underworld.

Hecate rules in this time – the Dark Moon & she is who you are meant to call upon when crossing a MAJOR border in your life, to aid in dream messaging and divination or during dark times…If you have a prominent Hecate in your chart, all these themes are infused into your everyday being. She is Asteroid 100 and you can add her into your chart using the Astrodienst Extended Chart Options. This statue of Hecate is in the Vatican City. Ancient, of course, but nobody knows who did it.

In fact, you could see her as a kind  of Lady Pluto when interpreting her in your chart…Go ON have a look! And this is cool too…

“..Lucius Apuleius (c. 123 – c. 170 CE) in his work “The Golden Ass” associates Hecate with Isis:
‘I am she that is the natural mother of all things, mistress and governess of all the elements, the initial progeny of worlds, chief of powers divine, Queen of heaven, the principal of the Gods celestial, the light of the goddesses: at my will the planets of the air, the wholesome winds of the Seas, and the silences of hell be disposed; my name, my divinity is adored throughout all the world in divers manners, in variable customs and in many names, [...] Some call me Juno, others Bellona of the Battles, and still others Hecate. Principally the Ethiopians which dwell in the Orient, and the Egyptians which are excellent in all kind of ancient doctrine, and by their proper ceremonies accustomed to worship me, do call me Queen Isis…” From Wikipedia

Wright Baker

Circe was an enchantress who had a year long relationship with the hero-warrior Ulysses. It was a bit complicated as she first tried to put a spell on him & she also turned his team of trusty helpers into swine. Plus he was married. The accounts vary but her father was the Sun-God Helios/Apollo & her mother either the Goddess of Witches – Hecate or a sea nymph. Circe was an accomplished mistress of metamorphing, a skilled herbalist, necromancer and illusionist. The term “holy moly” is linked to her tale. Moly is an old name for the flower Snowdrop, the essence of which Ulysses used as an antidote to her witchy potion.

Astrologically, she is asteroid number 34. You can use the Extended Chart Options on Astrodienst to see where Circe is in your chart or anyone elses and by transit. Not much is said about asteroid Circe in astrology – she would clearly be an influence of magic, cunning & libido. She is loosely trine my Ascendent but i weirdly found asteroid Circe to be present by transit a lot…Theoretically, she’d come in handy for betwitching men…At the moment she’s at 10 Libra. A man with Circe near his Moon, Venus or Descendent would find himself unfathomably drawn to witches.
