Yay the Moon in Taurus: Strong, sensual & completely unflappable. Eco-grounded and in harmonious aspect to uber-Jupiter  & Pluto. Perfect weekend for gardening, sex, massage, getting a grip (Taurus-style, just give yourself a good talking to and then go bake a cake or lie on the couch. Don’t read anything too ‘tricky’.)  And the Sun is trining Saturn; alleviating Saturn-Pluto stress with genius ideas for the revamp. Yes, Saturn-Pluto IS always about structurally altering aspects of your life that are not functioning.

How’s this for a Virgo Moon Frugal Skincare Tip…I just got – for $10 – a silk facecloth. This one pictured above is from the place that makes my fave soap – and with Moon in Libra, I am super-fussy re soap. But I got my silk facecloth from Pure Botanicals & even though i had never thought of silk as being some sort of brilliant facecloth,  it actually is. It feels smooth and not at all exfoliating, yet it leaves one’s skin looking polished. So simple, so cheap, so effective, so pure, so VIRGO…

Does anyone else know about these? Apparently it is something to do with enzymes…And Merry Moon in Virgo…For a good time, compulsive clean. Yourself, your house, your cat, your undies drawer…Fab for writing & vitamins as well. I am thinking that a high quality facial cleansing soap + silk facecloth is SO in. That and scrubbing one’s nail varnish free with a nail brush + buffing with an old-fash chamois buffer thingie. Although…important eco-vegan point here…is not chamois made via some ghastly method???

FP0301Ceres-Nice-Posters

You ideally need to please go read Ceres-Watch 1 for this to resonate BUT essentially, I go on and off observing this asteroid-turned- planet. So, as she has been in Virgo since November 2008 and is about to cross into Libra on August 4, this is a fab chance to collect some findings.

Note that ideas of what she represents vary widely. Ceres SO often ends up just sounding like the Moon. She is obviously linked with agriculture (the word cereal comes from her name) and as she is a.k.a.Demeter there is a link to her as that mythological mother…having to share custody of her daughter with Hades himself. Yah, Pluto…the demoted planet. Hmm. Some say Ceres is about the menses cycle & others call feminism.  Others say she signifies the eco warrior aspect of the Great Goddess.  Like Gaia.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see why wimmyn notice when Ceres goes into Libra – I think a shift from Virgo to Libra usually feels quite profound when any planet does it.

Also, if you are a mother, please compare your Moon and Ceres signs here along with which one you feel would most aptly signify your mothering style…I have Ceres in Pisces & the Moon in Libra & I think i’m more Libran Moonie at mothering with occasional veer-offs into Ceres-style. In fact, I think my Ceres only pops up when i feel absolutely absorbed by parenting to the exclusion of all else.  Could that be the key to Ceres?
