Dark Moon

Yes-yes-yes Mars is Retro for a few more days & even when it DOES go direct, it stays at Zero degrees of Leo for days and the Moon is Dark again…Astro-sensitive peeps are probably even sensing Saturn moving into opposition with Uranus again already…

But this is Mars going bats in LEO and the Moon is soon Dark in CAPRICORN so you know what that means: You keep up appearances & the show goes on. Keep dancing, smile, don’t look down…

Like I said in the Daily Mystic this morning, this Dark Moon in Scorp is GREAT so long as you keep away from the obsessive-stalkery-paranoid edge of Scorpio.  Beautiful for willpower & depth of perception. Libidinal too, though – of course – Mars is still Retro.

This is the Dark Moon ideal: a peaceful, eco-linened & no doubt lemon-grassy-ti-tree scented haven from which to gather one’s wits and rest in prep for the next big push.

A quick little productive gaze back into the past before maxing out the brilliant Chiron-Neptune fuelled Auspicious Aqua-Weirding that comes along with this New Moon.

But most of us ain’t going to be sprawling around navel-gazing. Saturn is still within range of Pluto and for many of us, our motivation is at an all-time high.

Sleep, springwater and sanity are the new luxuries. Who needs Thing Lust when Lust-Lust is free? Most of the time.

Remember that Capricorn – apart from being a mega-stinge with hot cheekbones and a 50,000 year career plan – is also horny. So we don’t need to cut back on everything during Pluto in Cap. Carbs and naff crap – yes. Sex – no.

Also, whilst I am here: the current path of retro-Mars stirs up any unresolved tensions or flash-nostalgia from July-Aug 2005 and March-April 2006.  If you do get the chance to do a bit of Dark-Mooning about, hone in on those months for a glorious ‘aha’ moment.

And, I shall be back after the New Moon!  xxx

So now the Moon is Dark (ie; right at the end of her Moonwane) and in Capricorn, so setting off the Saturn-Pluto Square that is one of the key themes this year.

If you’re not feeling the fabulousity of the Auspicious Aqua Weirding (the rare and beautiful Chiron-Neptune conjunction) it may because you’re trying to ignore a Saturn-Pluto reality…most likely something to do with a merde health habit, quasi-hysterical financial policy or desperately dysfunctional relationship but you’re sticking it for reasons not so much to do with sentiment/loyalty as fear and so-called convenience.

You see, Chiron and Neptune are beyond the bounds of Saturn so if there are Saturn-Girl style issues to look at, Saturn blocks the cosmic light.

Otherwise, if you’re in tune with Saturn, this Moon feels pretty damned good; a lot of finishing up ye olde biz, dealing with deets and actually toting up accomplishments. The low-ebb bit of it comes because you just don’t truly want to go all out in decadence mode. You’d rather work late or at least let your bod work hard for you doing cell renewal whilst you wander the realms of Morpheus, dreaming grand visons & doing your dark-time psyche work.

Exclamation Mark

Yes it’s weird at the moment as there is all this fabulous, magical activity & eureka moments crackling away in Aquarius.

But it’s still the Dark Moon so there is a tides-out sensation with energy & emotions. Don’t do the gloom but do do the requisite Dark Moon rest-up & the Moon is new again Saturday night in America, early Sunday morning in the UK and in the afternoon in Australia.

That’s when the Auspicious Aqua-Weirding will really get going. Remember, it’s a New Moon near to the amazing (and rare) Chiron-Neptune conjunction: brilliant breakthroughs and sudden (positive) changes. Get with it but rejuvenate now.

Oh and there’s a sexy Venus-Pluto sextile next week as well. You may as well restore your glow along with your sanity. And big changes you’re pondering or already doing are enduring – no need to rush it all now.

Soz to spoil any speculation, but i really don’t rate so-called Blue Moons.  There are various definitions of it – the 13th Full Moon in a year that usually has but 12, the 2nd Full Moon in a calendar month but you see, to me a moon cycle IS a month.

My month starts with the New Moon and ends with the very last day of the Dark Moon. ie: right before the next New Moon. The very word month comes from the word Moon. So no, I don’t attribute any special significance to this being the second Full Moon in a calendar “month”…I really don’t.

Mars being mega-close to the Earth/Gaia and in Leo conjunct the Moon is WAY more interesting…A good time for sweeping and theatrically grand gestures that somehow also honour the demands of the Saturn-Pluto Square.

The song is always so pretty.  Dean Martin is insanely Gemini-mannish in this classic clip; See how he cracks up half way through…

So it’s the darkest of the Dark Moon right now & wouldn’t it be gorge to hang out here for a bit, reading one’s poetry whilst the invisible cleaning sylphs took care of the house & birds tweeted messages that we totally understood because it is (this is true) easier to grasp subtle communiques, omens and other worldly vibes during the very Dark of the Dark Moon.

saturn_bitch1Saturn Girl strikes again!

There I was, happily working away on the Dark Moon & pondering a quick little trop up the road, past the patisserie. After all, as you know, when doing desk stye work, it’s good to get up, stretch one’s legs AND i worked out this morning so what’s the harm in a little French Snail thingie,,,Pain Au Raisin? I mean, it’s legal for fuq’s sake. So is coffee. And then I heard it.  Again. The Voice Of Saturn Girl:

“If you actually added up the kilojoules burned off exercising this morning and then subtracted the kilojoules from this little emotional eating episode you are planning, you would be behind…And I thought you were off white flour and sugar?…Has it occurred to you that without discipline all of your efforts and talents are pointless?…Perhaps you should consider what emotion you are actually attempting to address here?…From now on you do not put a single thing into your body that is not doing you good…”  And so on.

And so, this is ravingly obvious but  you know how Dark Moons are, i thought I have a choice…I can choose to whiz up the road & go for some caffeine, pastry etc OR I can do Saturn Girl and keep my blood sugar (and thus moods) even, apply self-control & be VERY happy when i am poncing about the beach in January. Particularly as there is a Taurean (!) Bodybuilder lurking. ]

So WHATEVER ails you in this Dark Moon phase – too much to do, ratty peeps, stupid naff crap cravings, budget blown out to beyond the boundaries of the universe, no clothes, angst-hell re an Ex, demonic hair, the patriarchy – whatever – channel Saturn Girl. She only has your best interests at heart. And yes, I am aware that paying my tax will actually make me MORE relaxed than an addiction to massage.

It’s so true. Right before the New Moon in your sign – in this case, it is a New Moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday – you feel super-low or a bit self-conscious and easily weirded out. Then the New Moon energy comes in and you zing right up and zap back, better than ever. But the Dark of the Moon (Moonwane) right before the Moon is New again in your sign is a real low…Fine if you’re resting but hard at this time of  year, non? So be nice to Saggos!!!

Just a few more hours to go until the New Phoenix Moon (New Moon in Scorpio) & so keep grokking the spooky yet awesome insights…And that primal throbbing is Venus in Scorpio moving to square Mars in Leo.  Of which more tomorrow…Try-try-try to rest in what remains of the Dark Moon…The Venus-Mars thing is hot.
