Only 51 more days before Saturn scoots out of Virgo and into Libra.

And guess what? Saturn LOVES to be in Libra. Saturn is EXALTED in Libra and so shall you be where-ever you have early Libra in your chart. Saturn will function more elegantly – less neurotic – in Libra.

I have a theory that the Saturn in Libra era (from October 30 until late 2012, with a little break from April – July 2010 when Saturn retrogrades back into late Virgo) will manifest as a new Free Love paradigm. A lot more breezily organised arrangements, less angst. The Scorpio Sex Academic has many a suitor at the moment but she is spending time that should be spent preparing a major lecture looking at the Madam Vivien gallery.  It is thought-provoking for sure.

One little thing about the Saturn into Libra, exalted & all, situation. It very quickly gets to squaring Pluto. Yah. It was a Saturn-Pluto opposition that was the signature of September 2001, if you recall all that. Freak not but it will a mega-strong test of just how the economic recovery (?) is shaping up as well as a ‘show’ of where Plutonic evolution is set to favour society…That’s in late Nov. A good nesting time. I will be banging on about this heaps in the Daily Mystic

Hands up whom has been having the most intense psychological realisations and major eureka flashes in the last few days?  Thank planet Pluto, in total slo-mo and getting set to turn direct in 12 days. Don’t duck the growth  passage insights! And, as Pluto has retrograded back to where he was in Feb 2008, that whole phase is now up for analysis. Within a few days, i am posting a subscriber-only Pluto Direct rave – the Weekly Scopes password will open it to read…

A while ago, I posted re Pluto in Capricorn & The G.F.C and said that here would be a distinct upswing, new era of prosperity, our restoration et al in 2018….That’s because innovative Uranus then goes into Taurus and trines Pluto for yonks, creating a tres harmonious environment for the emergence of business, peace, plenty etc. And then i said but at least Neptune goes into Pisces, the sign it rules and starts to sextile Pluto in early 2012, suggesting relief from then….

NOW i stand by that but it’s better; I just realised that Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) goes into Scorpio (the sign ruled by Pluto) in October 2012…Thus, those two planets will then be in what is called mutual reception. And Saturn will sextile Pluto and trine Neptune. But between now and 2012, there are challenging times as Saturn squares Pluto from Libra and then Uranus squares Pluto from ARIES…Till 2015.

More info on THAT little bingle in my Uranus Confidential

I don’t know a single astrologer who was not right re Pluto into Cap being a big upheaval of biz, banking, authority etc etc but really, the swiftness & severity has been stunning, no? Anyway, for what it is worth, reformation full on through till 2012, followed by better times with restoration in 2018. And now, I am gonna get on with being hopefully diverting.

The first Saturn-Pluto square is in November this year so that should give us an idea of the form. In short; Massive societal change & I would like to think for the better, in the way that the upheavals of the 60s bought transformation. Note also that Saturn is exalted in Libra. Soooo bring on the progressive leadership and more utopian, equitable world.

G.F.C. for Global Financial Crisis sounds vaguely unwholesome. Too much like K.F.C. Has anyone got a more evocative term?

Anyway, Alan Greenspan backing bank nationalisation in the USA feels super-revolutionary. Forced growth indeed. Am not trying to turn this into an economic-political blog at ALL but this is radical & Pluto is only, i don’t know, TWO degrees of Cap right now.

My son was telling me last June that he’d met some financial planner some place who said there would never be a recession for all these reasons. And I said, with all my astro-authority that come December (Pluto into Capricorn) there would be the beginning of a recession/depression/financial shite unlike any we had ever seen before. And he was like “Woah, you sound like some scary soothsayer dude…” But, yah.

And then the other day he asked when it would get better – the G.F.C. – astrologically. And the first thing that came into my mind was that the actual trending  upward again, post-reformation et al would most likely be when Uranus went into Taurus  & began to trine Pluto…”So,” said my son, brightening, “is that soon?”  He trusts Taurus energy, has it rising and thinks every Taurus he knows “really has their fuqing shit together.”

“2018,” I said. “BUT,” I had to add this whilst running after him. “But Neptune in Pisces sextiles from January 2012 and that could be really good.” He looked really doubtful. “It’s still a long way away….And isn’t Neptune drugs and artists?”  He listens! Finally i said that i think it will improve when Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) goes Direct in May. He rolled his eyes. “Is there anything next week?”

Hygieia, the Greek Goddess of Health – hence “hygiene” – as seen by Gustav Klimt

Saturn is the planet of boundaries, self-control & brute pragmatism. Virgo is the sign of Health & Efficiency, amongst many other things. But for the sake of this post, let’s just see Virgo as abstinent and wanting to be in control, orderly. I’ve totally noticed the Wagonista trend taking off lately. The word was first coined, I think, in this Times article back in 2004 but anecdotally, I think it’s upping.

There was last year’s Dry July charity abstinence bender (I tried but that July turned out to be the wettest on record – I blame The Uranian, a bit) and then now FebFast.  My Piscean Actress friend and I are abstaining for reasons of vanity & then there is the revolting anti-alcohol ad targetting women who don’t usually cane it but definitely like to relax via guzzling several dozen glasses of chardonnay or whatever. Yick.

So, I don’t know – has anyone else noticed Saturn in Virgo coinciding with more sober attitudes toward food, diet, drinking, smoking etc???  Or is G.F.C. angst having peeps turning to good old reliable sources of relaxation & misery drowning? I read somewhere that MacDonalds fast food and co is 40 % up for the quarter…?  And I don’t know if i even officially think this but do people trust authorities who are anti-beer/wine etc (excessive consumption, whatever) when it’s apparently fine to dish out potentially problematic anti-depressants et al???

Note: Every article I have ever read on health does say skin-brushing is always fantastic, so is water and hot chips are bad. Just to simplify.

Italian designers are channelling Pluto In Capricorn brilliantly.

This is from an Associated Press article about the men’s fashion collections.

“…In these shaky economic times, Italian designers have chosen rags over riches for their fall-winter 2009-2010 menswear collections, currently previewing on the Milan runway…Gone are the trademark flashy fabrics, dandy designs and macho models, replaced by classic sporty styles in sensible wool, worn by almost boringly average young men….

‘At a time like this, you have to think positive and work hard,’ said Stefano Gabbana in a chat with reporters…

Miuccia Prada on Sunday evening used her minimalist wand to combat the crisis with one of her most essential collections ever. The almost all black and gray show featured jackets and coats with neither lapels nor buttons, slim slacks and plain sweaters. The only details in the collection were the myriad of studs, which dot white shirts, slacks and classic footwear, like mini nails securing the outfits to the body….”

Three tiny things I have noticed since Pluto went properly into Capricorn & the G.F.C etc:  Nobody I know is complaining about having to work too hard , staff in upmarket stores have lost all vestige of their previously sometimes snippy airs & holidays are passe. It’s now all about weaving mini-breaks into one’s day. ie; sleep, the gym, some relaxing scouring of the house from top to bottom.

Note also the models above. Other than their beauty & the interesting trend of monochromatic make-up with big hair concealing beige bandanna things, they could almost be three elite cleaners.
