The first incarnation of Pluto A La Mode was monochromatic make-up & austere chic – now of course, the shredded thing is everywhere. Is it Plutonic? A kind of homage to making-do? A dignified acknowledgement that whilst you may be in designer clobber, you totally get it? And with warpaint? Like, rejecting trad make-up & going straight for a tribal marking? And, assuming this is not an outfit for a job interview – as such, though the nipple poking through would probably work in some industries – where would one wear it?
