Ralph Fiennes (WHY is it apparently pronounced ‘Rafe?’) always looks SO Cap, does he not?

Yesterday was his birthday -his Sun is at Zero Degrees Cap. He’s a Solstice baby – sacred to some Celtic tribe for SURE. More interestingly, he’s got a powerhouse conjunction of Mars in late Leo with Pluto & Uranus. And Moon-Venus-Neptune in Scorpio. Holy Aphrodite, the gentleman is libinal. I reckon Mars in Leo for months & months will be sending him wild.  He’s probably going on that boys boat trip Tiger Woods is doing for Saturnalia. Cruising Capricorns.

And yes, he was brill in The English Patient but i hated that movie. I was in a towering rage at what happened to the Kristin Scott Thomas character for weeks.  Never has a movie needed Bruce Willis more. And I don’t like Bruce Willis but he would have sorted that cave shit out for sure. He would have found a jetpack hidden in the stupid desert or something.

It nearly annoyed me as much as the screen adaptation of Cold Mountain – note: I shall say this v.briefly because i tend to rant about it. The character Renee Z played in that movie was supposed to be African-American.

Anyway, watch Ralph as Mars in Leo triggers HIS Mars…

Cloud Nine

So I was thinking about that Cloud Sofa & my mind meandered onto the old phrase “cloud nine” – as in a fab place to be. Apparently is linked to either a Buddhist stage of enlightenment or US Weather Prediction terminology.

And then i thought how meditative it is to lie and watch the clouds moving & that there is a very ancient style of divination called (amongst other things) aeromancy…Have you ever looked at a certain cloud formation and it seemed to tell you something?

And then i found this from here…

“They drew auguries from observation of the clouds. On the eve of a certain Samain, Dathi, king of Ireland (A.D. 405 to 428), who happened at the time to be at Cnoc-ndn-druad (‘the druids’ hill’: now Mullaroe, and often incorrectly called Red Hill), in the parrsh of Skreen, Sligo, west of Ballysadare Bay, where there was then a royal residence, ordered his druid to forecast for him the events of his reign from that till next Samain. The druid went to the summit of the hill, where he remained all night, and, returning at sunrise, addressed the king somewhat as the witches addressed Macbeth: – ‘Art thou asleep, O King of Erin and Alban (Scotland)! ”Why the addition to my title!’ asked the king: ‘I am not king of Alban.’ And the druid answered that he had consulted ‘the clouds of the men of Erin,’ by which he found out that the king would make a conquering expedition to Alban, Britain, and Gaul: which accordingly he did soon afterwards.”

This account of cloud divination is corroborated by the existence in Irish of the word néladóir for an astrologer or diviner: and neladóracht glosses ‘pyromantia’ (‘divination by fire’), in an old Irish treatise on Latin declension.” But the primary meaning ofnéladóir is ‘cloud-diviner’, and of neladóracht, ‘divination by clouds’; for nél, néul, néll, means ‘a cloud’, even to this day, and not star or fire.”

Sexy Druid Warriors always aid one’s interest in ye olde Celtic practices.

Celtic Astrology is fascinating, of course, but like Geomancy (the Celtic version of Feng Shui) not nearly enough is known about it, thanks to the persecution and genocide of the Pagans.

It has it’s own Zodiac & we’re all trees! I think it’s beautiful, though sadly incomplete…We are soon in the time of the Hazel Tree:

And if you click on the witch-burning link, that damned book (Malleus Malificarum) was like a best-seller. Can you believe it? I read the whole thing one go on a day long ago in a sterile but comforting university library & found it so scary. It’s so dry and legal. But imagine your local council using it as their handbook. I had to keep looking up to remind myself that i was surrounded by trees, freedom, laws and relaxed students of all races & sexual identity, religion et al.

Astro-Housewitchery; Your Oven-Hearth

Don’t freak but the fastest Feng-Shui/Good Housewitchery style fix you can do for prosperity is to clean your oven. Way more so than buying little knick-knacks or those pots of gold thingies. The oven is like a symbolic hearth – picture ye olde hearths which never went out & everything was cooked on them. Cleaning an oven may seem super-grotty but it’s amazing how often, if you get in there & just attack it with glee, something good happens financially v.quickly. As in within 24 hours. Broken ovens are, of course, shocking Feng.

The Celtic Fire Goddess Brigid is connected to the hearth, as is Vesta/Hestia.  Your Vesta sign & house placement is where you’re dedicated to keeping some sort of inner flame alive. Tending your Vesta area as if it were a fire you had to keep alive works wonders in terms of peace & prosperity. It’s where hard work & dedication totally pay off. She’s like a more sensual Saturn. BTW: i think the whole vestal virgin was that they didn’t marry – not so much that they virgins. That was prob a spin put on it by the Christians.
