The Moon is in Libra, nearing Saturn and squaring Pluto…So it’s Libra with a Saturnine edge – scented aplomb (aplomb actually means balanced) & restraint – and Plutonic undercurrents; endings, beginnings, alchemy, clandestine lusts…Don’t let on or out until the New Moon in Sagittarius/Mars-Venus exact trine next week. Smell GORGEOUS. Manners matter. Your secret diary is a sight to behold. And hands up whose dreams are lucid AND lurid. Did I tell you that i had one the other night in which i was giving birth…to myself.

Cabinet Of Curiosities

Sweet beautiful dreams – Uranus and Neptune are BOTH so active…never mind Saturn square Pluto for the moment – our dreams are free…Surely?

Okay – yes Saturn DOES pop into dreams from time to time -  you know: One is perpetually late for an exam, having teeth falling or wandering down the main crowded tackiest mall of one’s home town naked. And then you wake up drooling into your pillow, ratty and with a pain in the neck.

I WAY prefer Uranian-Neptunian dreaming…astral travelling, flying, surreal insights, fairytale sequences so lucid it’s like Jung’s scripting the whole thing, magic animals, secret lands, like Narnia only sexier.

They say that, in dreams, any  house you dream of is YOU; your pscyhe. So a room in ruins like the one above is not such a good sign. But gorgeous mansions, light and space are a sign of psychic health. I love those dreams where you open a secret door in a house and there is a whole beautiful other land in there. The attic is the higher mind, your aspirations & all. The basement your subconscious mind.

“I used to have this, this idea, that I was sort of like, part of, like, this alien race that were part Venus and part American Indian. Now this sounds kind of funny now, but I was very serious about it as a child. [Laugh.] I had a whole cosmology and a whole universe, formed around these thoughts. But, I definitely didn’t feel at home on the planet. I felt much more at home when I’d read books about the Aztecs, or about, or if I’d read stories about aliens on other planets. Or I just, I didn’t really feel like I belonged… Those private thoughts I had, were part of my creative energy, or the complexity of my mind, but I wasn’t a disturbed child, I was just, a little off-beat, I guess.”

Patti Smith – Sun-Mars in Capricorn, Saggo Rising, Moon in Pisces, Neptune Conjunct Midheaven & Saturn conjunct Pluto in Leo. The latter two aspects bring her (astrologically) in line with John Lennon as a collective muse for the Pluto in Leo generation, carrier of many projections. Sun-Mars in 2nd house SUCH a grounding gift for her.

I think that your childhood DreamScape is perhaps the most intensely personal & amazing part of yourself – it comes before the earthy intimacies of sex & money and exists devoid of functional/dysfunctional families, class et al. And Mars in Cancer/Kataka + Mercury Retrograde for most of September is a fab time to resurrect your childhood DreamScape, with productive and loving intent. I sound woo-woo, like i need to order some henna and a lilac kaftan – but it’s so true.

Sometime in the next few weeks, ponder your childhood DreamScape & profit…

It is a tenet of psychological theory that Water in dreams signifies your emotions, is it not???  So a placid rockpool lit by the sunrise would be totally different psycho reality than dreaming about great big crashing tsunamis, yes?  I dreamed of tsunamis nearly every night during 2004 and thought it t’was emotional, to do with my turbulent subconscious etc. Then the 2004 Great Tsunami occurred & I thought again. The dreams were always totally realistic, as in seeing the wave and then looking around for something to cling onto or wondering if i could run up the hill sort of thing. The last one I had  was ridiculous; i was standing in an island resort room about three stories high, looking at a hotel bill and freaking  out. Only it wasn’t really me. It was like i was looking over this woman’s shoulder.  And the woman was saying to a man “we can’t possibly pay this” and annoyed as he seemed not be listening. Then the woman looks up and sees him agape at a huge wave offshore & he says “if we survive this we won’t have to…”

So i woke  up thinking how stupid, went downstairs & there was that Boxing Day Tsunami, on television. But, I also have them (eg; this year) with nothing like that happening.  Does anyone else have big wave dreams??  Or care to spout forth with interpretations & dream sharing. I think in general the idea of  – say – turbulent water = turbulent emotions rings true…My intention is to try and lucidly dream the answer by zapping up my mugwort.  Mercury opposite Neptune should also max out the dreams for the next few days…fab for liars too!

Holy hell, maybe I am overdoing the Artemesia Vulgaris (Mugwort aka Moxa, see my post on it here) …The psychic insights evoked by my dreams are just SO intense. I mean, useful, for sure. But one wakes up with a w.t.f smirk of bewilderment in the morning, post dreaming.

I seriously lucid-dreamed that i was flying at night over dark green bushland and into a headwind. I was totally trying to make for some lights in the distance where i felt it would be safe to land & not let the winds force me down into this forest in a storm. Even though it was stressy, i was thinking ‘wow, isn’t flying by broomstick SO simple & convenient…’

Yes, On a Broomstick. I hardly ever have lucid flying dreams but they are incredible…How common ARE they? I mean the ones where it feels like you totally are out there, flying about & you have to concentrate when you come swooping to land on a tree or something?  A few years ago, when I had Neptune on my Ascendant, I had then all the time & fantastical visions too. There is nothing so strong as a Neptune transit to hype your dreams, psychic powers and other-worldly awareness.

If you are BORN with Neptune conjoined to the Sun, Moon, personal planet or Ascendent you’ve got a headstart so far as telepathy et al is concerned. You have only to discover your personal gift and not piss it away, lol.

Anyway, my latest lucid dreaming was with just my Mugwort, Lavender & Hops dream pillow – $4 from eBay, awesome bargain here.  Okay and a pinch of mugwort in my mint tea. Anyway, dream pillows are easy to buy online – just get one with organic herbs from someone who seems to love what they are doing.

Nearly everything squares Neptune over this weekend and in fact, the next few weeks. Dreams ARE IMPORTANT. How hard can it be to get one simple little exercise book & just jot down a few vital deets of any dream you remember?  Jung called them the royal road to the subconscious. I am consistently convinced that so much psycho-cultural clutter (all those ADS in self-help & alt health mags, for instance) can be eliminated by simple observance of one’s dream messages…It’s cheap. It’s FREE.  And dreams are particularly potent all this weekend a la the Full Moon and Neptunian activation.

Please feel free to rave re dreams in the Comments. I put my Mugwort dream in the comments of that post.

Have a divine weekend and happy Full Moon in Scorp!

It’s totally batso dreaming until the New Moon in Aries on Thurs night (northern hemisphere) or Friday morning (southern hemisphere). Why? Because first the Moonwane is in Aquarius and touching upon Neptune, the weaver of dreams and portal into other worlds. Then, the Moon wanes on into Pisces. So it’s so woo-woo but mega-closure can be achieved in the next week. The New Moon is pioneering & brash, as in Aries crunched by Pluto…WHATEVER residue of ye olde crap is still in your psyche floats helpfully up this week.

You can either just wake up going w.t.f every morning or in the middle of the morning OR vow now to make the most of it. A few nights of massive psychic growth, free therapy (yah, sleeping is still free!) and you get skin rejuvenating skin renewal thrown in. I’m going for  it. The mint tea before bed to enhance dreams. The crystal under the pillow. The lavender oil on the temples. Still considering the old surrealists trick of setting the alarm to wake one up at 3am so as to grok the most intense and useful (they thought) REM dreams.
