SOMEONE tried to commandeer my Productive Mercury Retro Nostalgia post & make it all about your first/most fave music – when it was meant to be about the first thing you saved up for – but i had already planned it as an Astro-Sun-Sign-Query-Du Jour!  You can go there with the Mercury Retro Nostalgia if you like – first OBSESSIVELY ADORED bit of music + all-time-great classical and what genre of music you funk out to when you’re in a seriously musical frame of mind.

Taurus is the sign most officially musical and said to be blessed with a naturally melodious voice and pitch. A ludicrous amount of jazz avatars are Aquarius. Leos are more likely to be performers than many an other sign but is the music or the stage/limelight?  Film is more the innate Leonine medium. Aries are so up themselves, they’ll give karoke a go with but a quick faux shudder of modesty and consider the audience blessed to have heard them. Arieans are also, along with Capricorn, more likely to be into heavy metal than other signs. Pisceans tend to only like listening to the first third of any song – if that & they zig-zag between schmultzy pap & New Age music. Geminis are fad-fiends, discarding the trend the second it feels a bit stale. Kataka is, of course, nostalgic & admiring of history so they’re more likely to be loyal to a band/act no matter what. Scorpio too. Virgos are most likely to have a “cool” music collection that they like others to see. Librans like music that helps them retain their precious balance. Sagittarius? World music. Soundtracks….? Any band that they “know”.

And you???

This astro-query ain’t about love  nor even committment – it’s about the actual wedding ceremony.  Citing your Sun/Rising/Moon or anything you think relevant, did you ever have a wedding fantasy or fetish?  Bridezilla? Do you think it is important to commerate a great love with a ritual in front of your friends & family or do you think it is a relic from the Dark Ages?  Historically the best man was there to help prevent the bride running away.

As a an Aqua Rising and even though my Venus trines Neptune (romantic), I’ve never ever had wedding day fantasies. Even though i’ve been engaged twice and married once. And Uranus (ruler of my ascdendent) is conjunct Mars and Pluto in the 8th, so i’ve always been able to think of better things to do with the $ then a dress you’d only wear once…the whole thing. And, don’t hate me for this, even when i hear amazing stories of weddings from people i like/love, i kind of tune out. Maybe i read too many feminist books at a tender age? Too many married men chasing me? But i always wanted kids & had them young and love those soppy reincarnated lovers stories. So anyway, I am betting that the Aqua influence is fairly anti-wedding, same with Gemini.  Virgoans I know always do them big and properly…Your thoughts?

NOTE: but i am brilliant at picking wedding dates! Please don’t think it biasses me…lol.

WHAT is your favourite fairytale? Not the one that you think has the most Jungian resonance or that is officially cool but one that you LOVED…There is, of course, bound to be some psych-significance in your choice. Arieans & Saggos tend to love the quest stories, Librans & Pisceans the Sleeping Beauty awakened by Prince ones & Geminis the fairy tales that involve intricate tricks or beauty & the beast scenarios. Rapunzel totally gives me the merdes and I am not even sure why…My fave is The Ugly Duckling.

Here we go with this week’s Astro-Sun-Sign Query Du Jour…Nominating your Sun, Moon or Rising Sign are you a restless & nomadic style creature or deeply devoted to your home-nest-castle reality?  Astro-fiends can go for it and note their Jupiter & 9th house scenarios as well.

Apart from a teenage stage when i’d go anywhere with practically nothing & little care where I slept, i am a shockingly devout homebody. It has to do with being able to exert control over my environment (Mars-Pluto-Uranus in Virgo), having kids young & Jupiter in the 4th house. That’s a grounding influence. And just some sort of primal love of my land/village. BUT i have Moon in the 9th…the only real manifestation of that is that i live in a land  not of my birth. But note that benefics (Venus, Jupiter) in the 4th house have you loving chez you more than you would if – say – Saturn were there.

Is the astro-cliche correct that Sagg is the most ludicrously travelled of all? Are you already plotting your next destination or do you really not give a merde?  I know a Kataka married to a Saggo; he’s constantly away & mad for it. She gardens, cooks & decorates + is amazingly canny with the $ and so far (about a decade) it seems to work. She likes him not to be ‘underfoot’ all the time. He likes the freedom & then to come home to lavender-reeking sheets + real food.

So, what is the astro-dynamic like between you and your Best Mate???

Best Mate can be past or present but you ideally know his/her astro…Is it a classic Saggo Best Mate breezing in and out telling Scorpionic you to chill the f. out?  Staunch Taurus? Is your Best Mate an officially compatible sign with you? Not that i believe in sun sign compatibility – as such – but it’s interesting…

If you’re a total astro-fiend, what sort of transit did you meet Best Mate under?  Or, are you a creature who does not believe in the concept of a ‘best’ friend because you are friends with the entire universe sorta thing? And, is your Best Mate a classic representative of his/her sign?

If you want to really roll with Retro-Venus, honour, mourn or bitch it up re an ex-Best-Mate.

andrea_klarin_2Okay – here we go;

Quoting your Sun Sign-  and/or maybe a relevant astro tidbit or two. Eg; Moon in Leo. Leo Rising. Mars in Leo. A lot of 5th house stuff. A Leorama – the question is Are You Or Have You Ever Been A Drama Queen. Men can be drama queenie too. Is this a sexist question? I hope not. Because, I think, as usual that there will be valuable astro-info to be shared here. Lurid anecdotes welcome.

Here we go with another Astro Sun Sign Query Du Jour;

Naming your Sun Sign & any majorly relevant other astro-signatures – do you have a fave self-help book? Or do you think all self-help books suck? Do you think their core era – the 90’s – has passed? Is there one that saved your sanity or are you some feisty sign of the Zodiac that channels his/her psych genius straight from the cosmic source? Or are they piffle used by peeps who really ought to shuffle themselves off for some pro-help?  The signs I’ve known who totally love them & tend to always have one at hand are Virgoans & Saggos. Least likely to give a merde because they already know everything? Aquarius & Aries. Aqua will read self-help books but they like to be way ahead of the pack & there has to be some spooky sci theory behind it all. They also come in waves; i always thought that whole Secret thing (whilst there is definitely something to be said for positive thinking et al) was like a big surge at the end of Pluto in Sagittarius, Sagg being the ultimate creative visualiser…It came along when Jupiter was in Sagg with Pluto.
