And here whizzes the Moon into Saggo…!  It’s so rad! And Venus is trining the ruler of Saggo, Jupiter. They are going to be insufferable. But if you need to seduce one – or get him/her onside for a scheme, even – go find one. They are the Yes-People du jour. Plus the Moon in Saggo is trined by Mars. It’s a big Fire-signed few days of hotness, daring and radical candour.

Though i’d beware of telling Leos they look ‘tired’ because they’ll think you mean ‘gaunt’ or ‘well’ because they will interpet it as ‘fat’. Don’t tell Leos a THING so long as Mars is in their sign. Just nod in awe-struck admiration and give them all your money without them having to actually ask for it. Sagg Moon is also restless, outdoorsy & prone to mouthing off a bit. Okay, a lot. Schedule in physical activity/outdoor something or prep to go noisily bats.

Mugwort is amazingly brilliant.  I know i say that about every herb i am in the mood to enthuse about but really…It is magic & protective to the nth degree. The Latin name for this herb is Artemisia Vulgaris – herb of Artemis, the Moon Goddess. Even a teensy bit of the fresh or dried mugwort in between the pillow case & the pillow will induce the most intense dreams – I try it occasionally, when I am feeling daring enough. AND i am trying to grow it.

Some say it was the herb used in flying ointment, to make the brooms witches flew on. It’s sooo powerful that you’d only want to touch it in a blend made by a qualified herbalist.

Mugwort is revered in Chinese Medicine, where they all it Ai-Ye & it’s used in moxibustion, done by acupuncturists for all sort of things but most commonly to move breech babies though i had it this morning to raise Qi. The word “moxy” comes from “moxa” which is the medicinal application of Mugwort to the Chinese meridians et al.

Mostly what i use it for is as a smudge stick – most smudge sticks are sage & mugwort IS actually a variety of sage. So when you want to cleanse the atmosphere of your space & it need something super-heavy-duty, beyond normal white sage smudging, you reach for the Mugwort. I haven’t done a posting on smudging  yet; short version – clean your house, throw shit out & then light the smudge stick & waft it about, as if cleansing the air. It is instantly effective.

You can get smudge sticks from any good new agie shops,  the peeps i linked to above or google them…

This is from the Goddess Companion, which is a beautiful collection of old invocations & prayers to various Goddesses. It is an Irish Prayer called The Shield Of Brigid – she is like their Diana/Artemis, I think. She is a Fire Goddess, a patroness of poets & legend has it she inspired Merlin. Neither the Romans nor the Catholics could halt her worship so the latter sainted her. More here in a brill Full Cancerian Moonie read

From the book: “This famous prayer was reputed to protect those who spoke it fervently from all evil.”

“Every day, every night

that I praise the Goddess,

I know shall be safe:

I shall not be chased,

I shall not be caught,

I shall not be harmed.

Fire, Sun and Moon

cannot burn me. Not

lake, nor stream nor sea

can drown me. Fairy

arrow cannot pierce me.

I am safe, safe, safe,

singing her praises.”

Note that one of her other names was Bride.  And this version of the Shield of Brigid is way darker but still inspirational, suggesting it was written during the Dark Ages/Burning Times & as a true talismanic affirmation. But sad that it would still be so relevant for so many in our world. Read for Full Moon perspective?
