Full Moons

Yes, it’s true that the Sun-Jupiter Conjunction is lucky-lucky-lucky.  Auspicious as stink. But you know what? A Full Moon in Virgo is a Full Moon in Virgo & the vibe is such that one could go flippo over the deets. And then swing back to the Jupiter-Sun Piscean end of things self-medicate in a Dionysian fashion.

I mean, i just had a taxi trip in which i experienced homicidal urges.  Extremely rare for me. Seriously. And thankfully fleeting. I would never have acted on them. And i swear they only lasted for a nano-sek. Still. Imagine a taxi trip in which you have already walked for forty minutes having been unable to find a taxi, the guy is smelly, asks personal questions in a loud whine, goes the wrong way, stops to get petrol, gets pulled over by the police, boasts about his non-existent street knowledge and enquires as to your sexual availability.

So I had to do do a massive ‘all is well in your loving world’ style mantra to stop the Virgoan Within going absolutely ape. Oh and because this character had gone the wrong way and I complained, he threatened to drop me off in an amazingly rough bit of town. But all is well in our loving world, the Sun really is moving closer to Jupiter & a lucky break of some sort of another is nigh.

Just try to avoid Virgo-ing out about the deets: Tardiness, punctuation, filth, lack of follow-through, accents & vermin are all classic Virgo flashpoints.  Oh and Mars is right at the ratty end of his Retrograde on a Full Moon – so that’s good for a titanic temper tantrum. Please promise yourself now that you will ignore any temptation to “bring things to a head” or “just see where you stand…”

Venus-Uranus next week will be perfectly cathartic on its own. You won’t do a thing…Well, don’t do a thing right now…

Merry Full Moon In Leo!

That it’s all Mars-fuelled and has been for the last couple of days AND pumped by the Saturn-Pluto Square ought to have made things intense-but-in-a-good-way, no???

Care to share???

Are you doing hyperbolic Neo-Leo style theatrical catharthis?  This thing is SO inspirational and uplifting if you tune into it right.

Lucid realizations? Or are you not so much embodying Haute Leo inspired by the Saturn-Pluto impetus to change, after all? Have you been down there at the naff end of the Lower Leo spectrum and hamming it up a bit?

Soz to spoil any speculation, but i really don’t rate so-called Blue Moons.  There are various definitions of it – the 13th Full Moon in a year that usually has but 12, the 2nd Full Moon in a calendar month but you see, to me a moon cycle IS a month.

My month starts with the New Moon and ends with the very last day of the Dark Moon. ie: right before the next New Moon. The very word month comes from the word Moon. So no, I don’t attribute any special significance to this being the second Full Moon in a calendar “month”…I really don’t.

Mars being mega-close to the Earth/Gaia and in Leo conjunct the Moon is WAY more interesting…A good time for sweeping and theatrically grand gestures that somehow also honour the demands of the Saturn-Pluto Square.

The song is always so pretty.  Dean Martin is insanely Gemini-mannish in this classic clip; See how he cracks up half way through…

It’s a Full Moon in Leo looming – with us by the weekend – and it’s conjunct Mars…Retrograde. Don’t do weird stuff with your hair. Even though you will want to. Think: What is this urge really about? It will be deep. Maybe you really want to learn to sing Opera. Or water-ski. Something way deeper than the hack-thy-hair urge. Full Moon Hair-psychos, please vent in the comments. Put down the scissors. And the henna.

Before the New Moon Eclipse on the 15th, you need to go tidy up all the psychic crud & clutter that no doubt emerged with that last Full Moon Eclipse…The Solar Eclipse next Friday is SUCH a favourable fresh start vibe – a super-powered New Moon in Capricorn enhanced by Venus & sextiled by Uranus – that you really don’t want to be grubbed up by ye olde stale emotions, ancient angst, crappy habits & past-use-by-date yearnings…Do you?

Yes to good manners, yes to perspective and yes to civilised conduct but no-no-no, you are not going back & that last Full Moon should have shown you that. This Mercury Retrograde cycle is in Capricorn so keep the nostalgia & ‘analysis’ productive, make it real and scheme for an insanely profound renaissance attitude to go with the New Moon Eclipse.

The beautiful picture above is symbolic of your psychic spare room that may or may not need tidying AND think this too: New Moon Eclipse conjunct Venus. Not Mercury nor even underworldly Pluto. Venus. So is there a Venusian theme of yours that could do with a savage uncluttering?  Literal (photo-album) or emotional (naff misconceptions nursed lovingly)…

So, happy New Year & all that – how was your Full Moon Eclipse?

Is everyone three kilograms heftier and imbued with a quite a few fresh emotional understandings or is that just me?

Classic Cancerian Eclipse Full Moonie themes:  awareness of residual feelings, homeland, insights into what gives you the heebie-jeebies and why, parenting-birth-fertility issues and ideas, urge to meditate, flashes re your personal history, clucky or reappreciating your children more, security concerns, emo flashpoint style domestics anywhere there is unresolved merde, bonding between women or with the mother, a bit of productive hypochondria, carbophilia beyond even the seasonal demands, sacred laundering, artistic validation, major rad spiritual realisations and someone has to bung  on a bit of pass-agg crap.

It’s been fab & all but bring on the Moon in Virgo – non?

Oh all right, the lessons learned over the last week just have to be synthesized & absorbed because they are fab…And the  more you assimilate them over the next few weeks of Mercury Retrograde, the fresher a vital new start you score with the New Moon Eclipse on Jan 15. Wallow a bit now, slough off the shite & emerge more gleaming & potent than ever v.soon.

OKAY Fine, let’s just go with this Eclipse…I KNOW…it is relatively minor in intensity and though it’s opposing Pluto and some other stuff, we’ve had Pluto in Cap since early 2008 so no surprise but in fact, this particular Full Moon Eclipse is FAB – it’s definitely an unlocker of emo and a face-it moment for changes/issues in play for quite some time….

I am technically not blogging but i just HAD to give  you guys this pic as I think it’s apt for the moment – it’s NOT negative. Go through the link to see deets on the artist but it’s tribal.  The wisdom of the rats is interesting…Remember, my life was SAVED by a rat. I never discredit the creatures. And what is the scroll being held? Her/His accumulated knowledge?  Her/his degree? Who is the watcher in the window???

The character is definitely underground – subconscious – and there is like a negotiation taking place…

Remember this full moon eclipse is mean to be absolutely batso about you acknowledging emo you usually find too naff or or non-productive AND THEN somehow sorting it by the NEW MOON on Jan 15..there are longer time frames for this but i am on hols…For now – analyze the painting…So profound- would LOVE to know your thoughts as i think this pic SO NOW!

Okay so I have banged on about this in the Scopes & the Daily Mystic at length but, briefly, this is the sort of Full Moon Eclipse that would have had the ancients merrily bunging up their drawbridge & perhaps stationing a few extra guards around the place.

Retrograde Mars Rises, Saturn & Pluto are in square, Venus + Pluto and the Sun are opposed/eclipsed…the Full Moon is in the emo sign of Cancer & the whole thing tends toward muckraking, grudge flashpoints and definitely a poignant stirring of any unresolved feelings. Less poignant would be if you are in a relationship repressing a virtual tsunami of torrid unaddressed irks re security, shared $$$, sex and fertility…

Oh and Retro-Mars rising can inspire twits into lower level assertiveness.

The good? Oh well, high-Qi emotional breakthroughs & awareness, perspective of course. Still, I shall be cocooning, for the days around this Eclipse…It’s strong from right now…Keep a vast artists pad close at hand to scribble stream-of-consciousness findings and your major aha moments. Think especially in terms of freshly understanding your personal history, how/why things happened the way they did.

If you want to get really astro-fiend/cosmic about this, apart from the general catharthis it’s like a confrontation between the patriarchy and the feminine divine…Not only is it the Cancerian Full Moon (Artemis etc) opposing the Sun (Apollo) in the Saturnine sign of Capricorn, the chart for the Eclipse just oozes Saturn squares (reality check to the max, ready  or not) AND Mars opposes Lilith…

Stay serene, keep being gorgeous, enjoy your insights & see you on Jan 4…& THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE IN 2009…also, all you subscribers & peeps who got cosmic consults – thank you for helping to keep this site naff-advertising free!!! xx

Happy Full Moon in Gemini-Uranus Direct-Venus into Saggo peeps!

And remember this, some of the urgency of the Full Moon et al fades with the next few days but the insights, ideas and conversations of the past few days are GOLDEN.

Astro-Fiends,

I was just thinking that you KNOW you are an Astro-Fiend when you don’t know anyone’s age but you think of them as pre-Saturn Return or pre-Pluto-Neptune (that happens age 25) or Uranus Oppositioning…About to have their Chiron Return. Etc.

Second Astro-Fiend Indicator is when you suddenly get an ‘aha’ moment re an astrological syndrome you never normally think of and it wows you out. Astrology IS Uranian. I mean, it’s ruled by Uranus so it’s not Neptunian like Reiki. Impulses and concepts flash in and out. It can be faddy. Like you can spend months tracking Lilith and then get over it.

So I tend to be a bit blase about my progressed chart but i had the most major health vibe the last few days – v.Saturnine and full on self-controlling etc – even though Saturn nowhere near anything significant. It was strong enough to be weirding me out. I mean, suddenly i can’t stand wheat, alcohol, sugar, alcohol, coffee or dairy. Am craving salads…If I could SELL this i would!

So finally i check out my progressed chart and voila: Progressed Saturn has moved from being in a really wide orb trine to Neptune in natal chart to it being EXACT now. It’s also exact trine Part of Fortune in health sector and exact opposite Pluto. So Saturn strengthens my Neptune & suddenly I can’t stand anything even remotely addictive. I mean, there are opiates in bread and cheese!

It’s totally made me more interested in what aspect IMPROVE via progressions.

b_004Colette Calascione – Phoenix Moon

I love this! And from now on I am always going to call the Full Moon in Taurus the Phoenix Moon. The Sun is always in Scorpio, the Moon in Taurus opposes it, thus forcing practical manifestations of whichever transformation is in process. And, you know, there is always something.

The artist has her prints for sale, btw, and they are unreal…as in fuqing fab.
