I agree. The “jewel tones” are also very scorpio -maroon, navy blue, even military green. Black is definitely scorp too though. I know a scorpio rising who is still very much goth.
How synchronistic – the Year of the Black Water Snake’s essence as I see it, after reading Lutin’s article, is this: live and let live – you don’t bother me, I don’t bother you. (But watch out when should anyone try to fuq up your/my/one’s home-existence-space…then yeah watch out) The horoscope of the world says more, but yeah, this bit in particular. Funnily enough, the way he described it about one’s personal private life is my general m.o. anyway.
And yeah, I’d tend to agree that the way Mr. Yamamoto described it above, sounds apt with the Scorpio thing. Not sure about lazy – in what way? Some people can seem as if physically not doing much in getting things done, but inside their heads they’re a million miles an hour, and then when the right moment is there, BAM!!! All action on board.
Another black thing: Just had an awesome proper space clearing today with a most generous (gave me a concession rate), beautiful wise woman, and part of the ritual involved two candles; one black for banishment and a scented green one for invoking. The black one died out first. And she also had a first with me as a client: the smudging charcoal, the first one, died out within 5 as she was smudging me as I visualized my intentions on what to banish and what to invoke. She had to light a second one… She said that NEVER happened before; so much residues stuff the charcoal sucked up. I told her what last year has been like and she was like, yep wow, no wonder. It was like I Serapis Bey-ed the first charcoal! After the clearing I felt light but tired and sleepy so had to nap.
Am loving the new spaces I’ve created with this lady’s help! <3 Esp. with the things on the invoke list.
(If anyone's interested, and I DON'T get any money from saying this, I highly2x recommend her! She and I are in Melbourne, and she teaches at the Australian College of Environmental Studies. She came recommended because my usual mentor/healer had a direct order from Spirit not to do any space clearings during her pregnancy.)
Thank you for your guidance as well Mystic, much appreciated, deepest gratitude to you as well. I'm seeing much love, it's made me so verklempt these past few days… <3
Black has become a sign of wealth also.
Black limos, dark suits, Matched against stark white interiors. look at Apples design cues …black, grey, white. Colour can be seen as frivolous.
I remember after living in hippy land for a few years and traveling to Melbourne’s inner city design quarter….everyone wearing black on black. To me it looked a little like some futuristic horror movie or downtown Tehran. I don’t really understand it ? The idea that I should take you more seriously or respect your design skills because your wearing black ?
I read once that wearing too much black damages your kidneys. Diabetes plague anyone ?
Black to me is truly interesting when it describes an eclipse. The tantric black sun.
I can’t stand white. I like the *idea* of white, but it feels bad to have around me. I need something broken – ivory, taupe, some tint or shade to it. So much for my future as a faux spiritualist, lol!
I wear black, all black A LOT. I love this statement. I am NOT Scorpio. Saturn conj Asc (in Pisces). BUT my ruling planet is Neptune in SCORPIO. Black is… a lot of things. BLACK is easy. It lets other things define you rather than your clothing. Your face is more visible. I have many many views on wearing BLACK. And I know many don’t agree. I wear BLACK, get over it.
I especially love all black body skimming clothing with say a statement pair of boots/shoes. It lets your hair, face and physique say so much. Nothing like an outline in black. I guess the artist in me is speaking here. I’ve recently started serious photography and I definitely prefer black and white for sociological pictorials. It really levels things and leaves out the interference resulting in a pictorial of what I want to portrait, i.e. people in their natural habitat.
Melbourne is Black Black Black, its the national Melbournian costume, but Melbourne is Gemini. I’ll hav to check its chart again for lurking plutonian energy
Im originally a Melbournian and I love my black to bits. I wear so much of it that I cant tell one garment from the other in the washing basket/closet/draws. But I very often add red, all shades and lots of red lippy, which I think represents both new Scorpio planet Pluto and old Scorpio planet, Mars.
I reckon my love of this combination comes from my pluto opposition sun and an empty, lonely Scorpio 12th, so Id rather “do” that chart energy in colour and style rather than it ‘do’ my head and innards in.
oh I thought Melbourne was Virgo – 30 August 1835 – it seems very virgoan to me – earthy, structured, creative, black-wearing lol. sydney is aquarius – airhead – jan 26 1788.
You could be right there, its still that mercury vibe though, and yes Melburnians on the whole are perfectionists and work obsessed. Its not how much you earn in Melbourne, its how well you do your job. Offices chockas with lint free black.
Im Aquarian, so maybe I should head to Sydney next.
Black doesn’t go down well here in Perth, mega colour and white pants everywhere
OK in typical Gemini style, Melbourne has 2 founding dates.
Astrologers seem to go with the 8th of June 1835, which was the day that John Batman landed on the site that is now Melbourne, proclaiming it to be the place for a village.
On August 26th (Virgo)1835 John Falkner landed on the same site and built the first house.
Haha that is great Ms, lived in Melbourne too and remember old bf saying ‘you’d look good in more black’ •shudders•
I like black, just not as a uniform.
I’ve had a flirtation with all-white, but am currently wearing hot-pink and orange (OH YEAH!).
Black is dull and unimaginative. When I quit my corporate life, I swore I’d never wear black again. I kept a couple of nice Gothy-bits I had from my yoof, but I’ve gone for Navy as a base instead. Or purple. Or deep red.
6 planets etc in Scorpio + Sun saggie (probably explains the hot-pink-and-orange)
I *was* going through a phase of minty-aqua, but seem to have stopped now, which is a PITA because I still have most of a bottle of OPI nailpolish in “Gumdrop” plus a matching handbag that I paid $120 for AND a matching purse which cost me a bomb too. AND a matching turquoise ring. *sigh* I don’t want to hear any comments about the anal-ity of matching ones nails, handbag, jewellery and purse. I have Virgo Rising, and that’s all the excuse I need. For years I brought red accessories ie: shoes, belt, handbag, coat, hats etc but that phase passed as well.
I am sadly tending towards hot pink at the moment, and its not a good thing. Definitely NOT going to buy the same handbag as the one I have now but in hot pink. no no no. I DO have the nail polish, I admit, but it won’t match my purse…..
Fellow saggie here with tons in scorpie. I did orange for quite a few years. Dunno where it came from, but it did roust me from my life long jewel tone slumber. Boy did orange herald in an awakening.. maybe I should of stuck with jewel tones. Have fun with your orange!!
I love wearing colour. And love hot pink and orange plus fluoro lime which have been appearing in my paintings. I think wearing a lot of black is boring, conservative and unadventurous.
Lately wearing a lot of turquoise, blues and greens (summer here).
From experience Scorps appear to not be bothering you but they are secretly plotting with the Universe to make you interact with them so they can then ignore you and say you are bothering them…
I was going to say the same thing! too bad the last line about bothering is untrue for Scorps. That’s why i associate black with Cap and Deep dark red with Scorp…passionate about everything!
oh, it’s always time for colour! *says pisces in annoyingly cheerful voice* you don’t need to go crazy. but if you can juuuust nudge yourself from black into grey, then ping! wear a yellow belt with the grey dress. or blue socks between your shoes and..oh alright, black leggings or skirt or whatever. you could do patterns. patterns are textile’s way of saying, “I care.” you know. you have options. so many options.
Oh I love your colour pep talk…really I would wear more colour but yes it has to be just right… Today black jeans white femme t-shirt, pale green and white Indian scarf and dark green drop eaarings… I loved that today…. I love blue and green, I could mix up all thedifferent shades.. and I do like the pastel turquoise and gum tree green that was mentioned above…. For me its about my body… Some colours make me look huge! If i had acthes horse physique I would wear fucking everything at least once!
I am with Davidl and domestic triffid on this, I love to wear all black v occasionally for a specific effect but other times…no way, with all those other colours out there? where’s the joy? and the imagination? etc.
now in relation to mystic’s actual post, I don’t think I know any scorpios who really love wearing black that much. maybe it gives away too much lolol.
ok so black *could* be scorp. But part of me feels … I dunno. black doesn’t take you anywhere. it’s like a thing in itself, intransitive rather than transitive. and scorps… well, to me, in my mind, they like to ‘go’ somewhere. the mystery, you see, leading them / us somewhere else on a search for More or Deeper. I might almost vote for, say, very dark green (infra-green?) or OMG maybe infra-red… they still get the passion of red, but it’s beyond the visible spectrum for humans – but if you’re a certain insect or reptile, you’re in luck. You know. Scorpios, under their rock, sensing the Heat. ohh yes
“no way, with all those other colours out there? where’s the joy? and the imagination?
Agree!!!
My Cap Asc loves navy and grey… occasionally black. Venus in libra LOVES colour and patterns… and stripes… and polka dots.
My favourite colour is green though.
Also, I’m studying at the moment and have to wear an all back uniform for 3 days. By the end of the day I can’t wait to get it off and slip into something more colourful and cheery
At the risk of sounding deeply pretentious.. heh. the haters of the all black is no imagination league, to me it is about silhouette as the statement and there is something about the absence of colour that gives me permission to be more about putting that colour elsewhere, like expression itself rather than needing it to be about myself. ie In that way It’s absent from a mood or emotional statement and I love that, if colour had a uniform it would be black or white for the same reason.
Ms – yes totally agreed. Another Scorpio here, sun moon. Black isn’t all about you, it’s refocusing on other people – it isn’t all “look at me”, it takes the emphasis off you to look at other people instead.
It’s tres minimalist as well.
All my wardrobe is black with the odd flash of grey and white. Black is functional, practical and easy to coordinate. Plus with lots of different fabric textures it’s far from dull. I suppose if I had to wear another colour it would be red.
I read “I don’t bother you – don’t bother me” to be a veiled warning. Black is about quiet power.
I am absolutely madly in love with all shades, and textures of black.
I have a life long affair with the color black since I was a wee one and asked for my first leather biker jacket at age 6.
My entire closet is all black with the exception of denim rocker jeans, some comfy white tees and tanks and splashes of red atm.
I love to wear color in my makeup, nail polish and accessories though. I adore all colors and use more colors in my paintings than in my wardrobe.
I think, dream in vivid intense colors.
Beautiful red or neon pops with all black as a background canvas.
Scorpio Rising and Jupiter, Venus and Neptune in Scorpio/1st House.
Loads of Plutonic, Scorping vibes.
For me it just depends. I used to wear a lot of black before I moved to Melbourne. And while black at times seems to be the shade of the city, there are brights too.
And those who think black is boring, what’s that quote again, you see things as you are – not as they are. As in not saying you’re boring, just that it’s all subjective, which is obvious anyway.
Some people can wear all black and play with the textures, the details; and some feel the need to stand out through brights and pastels. Incidentally, why the need to be noticed by others? I think you should dress for you, for yourself.
hmm. i do always dress for myself, it’s more fun that way. but am also v aware that others will notice me simply because i am a person walking around and people have eyes, so, you know. Plus I am sort of / thinking about moving into a field where I want to be noticed for how I put clothes n things together, so this is like practice
I didn’t mean you, as in specifically you Pi, it was a general ‘you’. But yeah, where it’s the game of the field you’re going into to be noticed, kick some ass.
TATI! hello beautiful. I am late on this post but I am super ill, just wanted to say yes, apart from my points about silhouette and agree with texture, sometimes you just need to be a shadow and other times you need to take the stage. Hope you are well.
awesome points everyone and no offense intended to the lovely peeps above of course x
Someone walking into a colour fest room wearing all black will have same impact as bright ensemble sashaying into a room of black.
If we were all dressed the same there would be no one to give us the ‘wow’ moments in life.
I still stare in awe at people who wear white pants. I swear they have some magic bleach protector shield happening cause they avoid the stains the rest of humanity would have picked up just from sitting down at coffee shop for their morning latte.
Re: white, I know!!! I had an all-white ensemble for the crown chakra session, and wow, it was fuqing hard to keep it from looking grubby!!! It was like a magnet for all things to de-white it. Even a simple white dress during summer, I’ve noticed that from one wear I’d have to wash it.
I love mixing colors, textures, and patterns. It can make the most boring, conservative outfit outstanding, but you have to find the proper balance. Its like, all black walking around screams “I am an enigmatic creative type!” where as dressing creatively demonstrates it.
Anyway – I don’t think black is a Scorpio. But I everything written in that quote about black is true of Scorpio.
cool. hey scorps. god, i miss scorpios. So anyway, I agree with all of you. Not being annoying and mutable, I really do think you make totally excellent points. I *do* think that monochrome allows you to then mess around with form and texture – was thinking about this later on. And yes of course we need contrast with all the butterfly colour types! I have this amazing black dress which is like a vampire’s ballgown (no sequins). No, I made that up. But it’s understated and unobtrusive unless you look twice and then you realise it’s freaking awesome just because of what the fabric does, and how it’s cut. So I totally get it. But dammit! I just loooove colour. It’s not necessarily an attention thing, but I figure that if I am going to get dressed and leave the house, then I may as well somehow contribute to making the world a better place to look at by doing so. [Unless I am going to the gym, in which case AVERT YOUR EYES PEOPLE.] And I appreciate that the creativity doesn’t have to be in the outFIT .. it can be in the outPUT… and we can meld into the background more to focus more on what’s going on around…so true.
Also I really do feel that too much black messes with my aura. Unless i am having a full moon in scorp kind of moment. Some days I will so deliberately not wear black, right down to my underwear! haha. it could be all the sunshine here.
I have Taurus IC and am a cancer Sun and I CANNOT have black in the house- ie, black furniture messes with me/the fung shui in a big way. Maybe it is because scorp opp my IC?
How to other Toros/Cancers feel about black??
Very few ppl should actually wear black, it completely dulls the complexion, highlights bags and makes you lose your glow. Same with white. If you base it on seasons only “winter people” can wear black and white.
The day I found out I was a “spring” and stopped wearing black changed my life. I’m not kidding.
I think I used to wear black to NOT stand out. To hide basically. Now I embrace colour and love it.
Confidence plus. And compliments.
I wear lots of warm oranges and turquoise plus only gold jewellery not silver as it goes completely dull when put next to my skin (it’s amazing, my sister, a “summer” can wear silver and if I put one of her necklaces on it loses its sparkle it she can wear it and shine) but I think the oranges, golds and all round warmness is very Leo and very me
Tho’ not a Leo, I love certain gold and orange tones – they liven things up a lot.
And I hate the ‘uniforms’ women wear these days in their all black apparel. Totally agree with you, VERY aging. But more than that, it’s completely devoid of imagination.
But perfect for dull/dead minds that lack the wit, confidence and joy to face the world with colour.

Well I’m a winter person then. I’ve heard this theory b4 – apparently Susanna and Triny did some massive transformation experiment to prove black is just wrong. But guess what Black really works for me (don’t get me wrong, I add colour, but carefully with respect.
I don’t think black is wrong for some people. A girl at work always wears black and looks amazing, right down to sophisticated black nails.
Lots of people choose black as their safe colour though. And cos it’s easy/ slimming or whatever. I used to think black suited me, until I stopped wearing it. Now when I put it on I’m like, arrggh! And omg, white is even worse!
Black nails are something i detest. They look like the fingers have all been caught in a door jamb or the car door has been closed on them,
bruised and ready to fall off.
Scorp relative hates wearing black. Relates it directly to mourning and loss. Tho totally rocks the colour when she does wear it.
For my scorp moon: black is my FU go to.
I wear it when I want to be left alone. And found myself stocking up on it post last hideous breakup.
Usually wear is pastel overload.
Quite a while ago, I noticed Mystic’s remarks about how Leos don’t look good in greige. Just the existence of the term greige shocked me. I think I was wearing khaki pants and a beige silk shirt when I read that. She said that Leos look better in solid colors, especially bright colors.
As a Leo ascendant, I took the advice to heart. I mostly wear bright solids. But lately I’ve been wearing a lot of black. Black pants and a black shirt, under my Hugo Boss blue “unstructured blazer’ looks fantastic. I just hate all the dry cleaning bills.
Yohji Yamamoto always knew that black is black, there is no “new black” to replace it. Black clothing is a psychic shield against other peoples’ energy. I try to make sure I’m wearing black when I read tarot for people, it helps me avoid taking on too much of their energy.
How do you afford Hugo Boss if you are unemployed/underemployed?? None of my business, I suppose, but the Hugo Boss brand caught my eye because I have a multi-Cappy son who adores the brand and I secretly suspect is part of the reason is because “Boss,” a very Capricorn word, is part of the name
There was a time when I had serious money, but I knew it wouldn’t last forever, so I bought classic looks and indestructible fabrics. The unstructured blazer I believe dates back to about 1995. I didn’t wear it very often, to preserve it. But then I realized, what am I saving it for? I’m saving it for NOW. Lately I have worn it every day for weeks. I also found a very bright solid blue and heavily embroidered Versace shirt in the closet, but I decided it is too fragile, it’s more date night or club gear.
But right now I’m relaxing at home so it’s cheap mossimo men’s yoga pants and a $15 Eddy Bauer long sleeve sweatshirt in black. I think these are both at least 10 years old.
ha. I know that feeling. years of full tie professional income and a shopping habit to match (oh, *there’s* my house deposit!) so now when I ask for student concessions – with correct ID of course – I look all grown up and sophistocat, so I receive skeptical looks from time to time….but all I have is two 5c pieces rattling around in my wallet. so, yes…
I actually look really good in white or black even though I’m deffo not a winter person (reddy pink in the complexion, freckles, hazel eyes, dark brown hair) … but I can’t get away with white due to my general sloppiness. End up covered in stains by the end of the day. I go through phases of black but true to my Cancer Sun/Venus I prefer colours, flowers, prints and patterns in either a vintage or boho style.
Saggo friend with Scorp Asc/Venus/Mars is NOT a wearer of black – but she is known to dye her hair hot pink or fire engine red for the hell of it.
Scorp Asc housemate always wears black, but that’s coz he’s a boy and colour blind so doesn’t really give a crap about colours.
Black is a uniform, black is a huge vacuum in space, black is death, black is a gravy train for unattractive, unimaginative designers (one is particular), black is depression
Black feels like a uniform (aka straight jacket). I read some book that said black and dark blue are money colors and you should wear them when you want to improve communication at work. Must be a power (hungry) color cause everyone in the Washington, DC area wears black and dark blue, maybe khaki (cringe) and red on occasion (a la Sarah Palin when she had wardrobe people). I hate the (lack of) fashion around here.
The reason all those Public Servants in D.C. are wearing blue and black is that they too have read somewhere the idiocy that they equate to power and money.
Besides, like the unattractive, unimaginative designers who have become billionaires by dictating ‘in’ people should dress in (uniforms) black, bureaucrats aren’t known for their imagination.
I was a bureaucrat myself, always went against the prevailing mind set but was supported , thankfully, by a few very powerful, dynamic guys.
NEVER wore black, preferring instead, orange, bright gold and other colours no one could ignore.
Black only equates to money and power for those ugly designers who have made fortunes off it.
The sun is the energy of the planet and it is flaming orange and gold.
Can’t wait till people wake up to the fact that they all look like young widows straight out of the mafia wars of 1920s Sicily.
I’d love to see people – even unimaginative bureaucrats – get more self-expressive. For now, its easy to be outstanding around here. Just wear anything other than black/blue/khaki/or red. God forbid you experiment with hem lines though. I work in a creative firm now (was in the .gov for a bit too – ick) and even here people get freaked by fashion. I wore a sweater dress once and had people staring at my knee caps every time I talked to them. I think in places where they get more sunshine (Miami, LA), they aren’t so afraid of color or fashion. DC demands conformity somehow, but I’ll never give in!!
That quote is certainly Scorpio. Its nice to have Scorpio outed! I suspect they’d never intentionally describe themselves so clearly – it must be about black.
I went through a phase where I eliminated all black from my wardrobe. I relied on it as a non-color most of my life, like a mask. Then, Feng Shui lady gave me my colors. Wouldn’t you know subtle colors, including black and grey, are good for me? LOL. It actually works best for me to be greyed out with a shock of color. Love my electric blue tights!
I have a lot to learn about Scorpio. Like being quietier and lazier.
I wouldn’t say that scorpios are lazy. I would say they can identify where they have leverage, and also employ principles of conservation of energy (unless stalking )
I knew I’d get dinged for using the word lazy, which is why I chose the word “lazier” as in I could learn a lot about going with the flow, using leverage with less effort, etc, from a Scorp.
You know yesterday this post made me just have to wear black being a Scorpio and all, and guess what I rock black and yes I looked super skinny and haut Whomever said black is boring….BAWHAHAHAA I am gonna say no one was bored looking at me ;P
Black says don’t be Jealous of me cause I am Hanging with the Kardashians…So why Did Bruce Jenner hit the Road then ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????..is it cause when you go black you don’t go Back ?
Back in the 80′s, i thought people wore black in Adelaide to save on dry cleaning bills & laundry. Black was a lack of colour i NEVER wore but slowly succumbed until i couldn’t wear any colour at all, only monochromes.
Guess it was a full circle thing as wore so many rainbows in the 70′s when it was all Fiorucci & Pucci.
When i see women wearing black bras under white tops, it totally unbalances me as do white shoes with black stockings.
Red a story about the street hookers being upset that potential clients can’t recognise them anymore as mainstream has taken over their look,
that very very funny i think.
me to a ‘T’ although i’m a Sagg. Have Scorp in Mercury though.
I live in black for work; totally ‘don’t bother me and i won’t bother you’. It’s my ‘leave me alone’ armour. works well too!!
but i love that black can be sexy too… sometimes i can carry it off!
I’m not a Scorpio, but my Moon is in Scorpio (my Sun/Venus in Aries, Ascendant in Leo) and Pluto is the most dominant planet in my chart…not to mention I’m doing some serious Pluto transits at the moment. I used to wear shit loads of color, especially pink (usually neon) and pretty much everything else I owned was some variation of pink. I had some really fuqed up fascination (okay, *obsession*) with the Legally Blonde movies as a little kid and I thought everything I owned had to be pink. I apparently thought something bad would happen if I owned something that wasn’t pink, much in the same way like “stepping on the cracks will break your Momma’s back” and other little silly stuff you believe as a kid. Unfortunately it took me a very long time to figure out that pink is not really a color I particularly jive with. It wasn’t until 2 or 3 years ago that I figured this out, thanks to my current Pluto transit and a Plutonian type person (catalyst). Up until then, I was wearing pink simply out of habit even though I knew under that cotton candy sugary fluff facade thing I had going on, I was a hardcore natural Goth on the inside. I no longer own anything pink. Thank you Salvation Army and Goodwill! Everything I own now, not just clothing is either black, grey or army green. I absolutely despise the color white! I always have, even in my candy fluff pink days. I’m personally allergic to white, khaki and yellow. These colors seriously upset my nervous system.
However, I don’t really see black as being like: “Oh, look at me! I’m so mysterious, deep and profound. I’m going to walk around with a frown on my face and only speak of my terrible childhood, the shrink I’m seeing and my trips to the pharmacy to pick up my antidepressants….” No, no, no! Black says: “I can laugh at myself! I can laugh at anything and everything!”
Oddly, black has actually taught me to not take everything so seriously.
Black is probably the most natural colour for Scorps to wear. It’s aligned with them. When I wear black, I feel like I’m putting myself in a particular box, it’s nice to be in, but I don’t want to stay there forever.
I feel most “myself” in some kind of cat print these days. Seems to work with my mars and merc in Leo.
Natal S. Node in Scorp along with Neptune. I started asking my mom if I could wear black clothing when I was 7 yrs old but was not allowed until 2 yrs later. In my 20s I was platinum blonde with glow-in-the-dark white skin and wore nothing but black. Now back to brunette and have added some greys and blues but black is still my goto color. There are some colors I wear…cream, yellow, olive green, brown..yep, I’m boring in the color dept.
i love black. i look good in black. it makes my blonde hair whiter and more dramatic- guess i’m a winter. bits of silver, olive, purple, and red to accent. black is just perfect all around. and the quote is fabulous.
actually this is the flip-side to my hippy cotton print sundress barefoot self. she is around too, but being minimized by saturn atm methinks.
Some people can wear black, not me anymore. I have virtually eliminated it from my wardrobe as I hate the way it makes me feel… Sucks energy away from me. Already a shy retiring type, I need to boost my aura, not try to disappear.
Its annoying that well cut clothes tend to be only available in black grey and maybe black grey combos… thanks to the fact Melboune Unfairly dominates fashion in australia. what if myer and DJs head offices were in queensland ?
here is an amazing experiment from an art course I did years ago over 9 weeks. Every week we worked with a different colour and its energy and worked with themes of the relevant chakra. We were encouraged to take this energy into the rest of the week by wearing that colour, eating foods of that colour, using that colour around us. Totally transformational and like visiting 9 different countries in 9 weeks. You find colours that boost your energy, others that challenge you, others that are just neutral.
Try It !!
I now respect my colour phases and stages and honour them, rather than saying, im a Winter so this Does suit me and I shouldn’t throw it out. Used to love blues…then during a very hard year pinks really helped. I now find red too energetically strong and only wear it when I am high in energy or need to push myself.
As Leo with Gem Rising I love both gold & silver, white & black, look good in strongish colours and pastels – however I cannot wear red! No matter what. I bought a beautiful and flattering dress the other day, can’t even bring myself to look at it. I think I am fanning the flames by just breathing, must be my Scorpio moon adding the dragon aspect!
Black is magic, black is fullness, black all colours together singing at once, black is the velvet night sky, black is falling head long into joy, black is a sinuous cat.
(Or it can be dusty, rotted, ashes, emptiness, falling into fear, all the colours with none of the beauty, a mess, lost, sick venom of a toad).
I think black is beautiful, but the human energy field doesn’t respond well to all black clothing all the time.
“Black is magic, black is fullness, black all colours together singing at once, black is the velvet night sky, black is falling head long into joy, black is a sinuous cat.
(Or it can be dusty, rotted, ashes, emptiness, falling into fear, all the colours with none of the beauty, a mess, lost, sick venom of a toad)”: beautifully written Andro, and I like the way the shapes and moves of the sentences.
Always knew black was Scorp…no brainer….Wearing all black right now…black yoga pants, t-shirt, hoodie, sandals and purse..My sunglasses so dark purple they seem black…
As a Leo sun, Scorp ascendant and Cap moon, I do love black And Jewel tones. They compliment each other so well. But, since Saturn hit Scorpio, I have been on a minimalist Black bender!
I have to remind myself to wear grey to “lighten up” and try not to scare people. I am restraining myself because I really want to do the eyeliner to the max with the lined inner rim in blue, of 1980′s technique.
I knew three Scorpio stellium guys who loved burgundy and maroon. I know tons of caps, though, who love black and wear it almost exclusively.
I agree. The “jewel tones” are also very scorpio -maroon, navy blue, even military green. Black is definitely scorp too though. I know a scorpio rising who is still very much goth.
Yes – jewel tones for Scorps. Anything deep.
Love black, especially black turtlenecks. About twenty years ago I went through a black/navy thing and wore them together.
I think black is Scorp. The Caps i know are into grey. With some occasional, very minimal, colour.
I gather, everything in balance, as black heals kidneys also : )
what do all the faux spiritualists wearing white get then? lol
I can’t stand white. I like the *idea* of white, but it feels bad to have around me. I need something broken – ivory, taupe, some tint or shade to it. So much for my future as a faux spiritualist, lol!
dark blue also acts on the kidneys because it is rare that pure black exists in nature.
Moi; can’t get wtf my computer is doing, its developing a personality of its own!
“lint-free black” lol
OK in typical Gemini style, Melbourne has 2 founding dates.
Astrologers seem to go with the 8th of June 1835, which was the day that John Batman landed on the site that is now Melbourne, proclaiming it to be the place for a village.
On August 26th (Virgo)1835 John Falkner landed on the same site and built the first house.
Its an ongoing debate.= mercury.
my nickname for all the dyed black in Melbourne was art school blonde
Haha that is great Ms, lived in Melbourne too and remember old bf saying ‘you’d look good in more black’ •shudders•
I like black, just not as a uniform.
Cute!
Adelaide must have copied Melbourne. Always thought lack of funds was the wearing of all black.
Sofia Loren did it best… went to Rome as a young lady, povvo as, dyed everything black so she could make what she had as sophisticated as possible
YES and there is that too x
I love black! Very classy.
On a different topic when Mystic say’s “Do Mars”… what do I do? Does it mean don’t sit around.. get up and do it?
Mars is natally in Scorpio (2nd house) &&&, Self esteem and resources
Mars is t-ing Pisces (5th house) babies, art and light romances
Thanks! xo!!
Mars is action, Just Do It, getting shit done no matter what, sexual energy/expression, raw energy, physical, aggression, war, THINK ARIES LIKE.
Non- anon … freaking computer fuq-up
I’ve had a flirtation with all-white, but am currently wearing hot-pink and orange (OH YEAH!).
: ) I think a bit of hot pink in ya purse is a good thing… How’s ya fluro?
I want something pink to wear. I had a pink shirt once. It was good for my complexion.
I love hot pink or neon pink lipstick or nails or a purse with noir.
Black makes other colors pop. Love it!
From experience Scorps appear to not be bothering you but they are secretly plotting with the Universe to make you interact with them so they can then ignore you and say you are bothering them…
LOL!
That’s accurate. I can attest.
truer words have never been spoken!
yes very very true hehehe – current friend has mars conjunct merc in scorpio!
YES! That’s about all I know about them.
I was going to say the same thing! too bad the last line about bothering is untrue for Scorps. That’s why i associate black with Cap and Deep dark red with Scorp…passionate about everything!
o yes, absolute genius. and so so true
sometimes i’m amazed i am not a scorp. i relate to this statement SO much!
jupiter transits are usually when you go ‘fuq yeah – color’!
my wardrobe must be conjunct jupiter then!! lol.
Try a jupiter transit sun thinking it might be time for colour but Saturn on Scorpio rising just wouldnt take the risk!
oh, it’s always time for colour! *says pisces in annoyingly cheerful voice* you don’t need to go crazy. but if you can juuuust nudge yourself from black into grey, then ping! wear a yellow belt with the grey dress. or blue socks between your shoes and..oh alright, black leggings or skirt or whatever. you could do patterns. patterns are textile’s way of saying, “I care.” you know. you have options. so many options.
jupiter at the top of my chart and i wear lots of colour *hopes well co-ordinated*
If i had acthes horse physique I would wear fucking everything at least once!
that outfit sounds really nice actually!
that will explain my transit phases away from black. It really is my colour though.
jupiter’s been making me accent my black with purple.
Only if Pisces can claim Aqua.
But yeah, where it’s the game of the field you’re going into to be noticed, kick some ass.
yeah no that;s cool, i didn’t think so, but responding anyway x
TATI! hello beautiful. I am late on this post but I am super ill, just wanted to say yes, apart from my points about silhouette and agree with texture, sometimes you just need to be a shadow and other times you need to take the stage. Hope you are well.
awesome points everyone and no offense intended to the lovely peeps above of course x
shadow,yes.
Totally agree with the first 2 paras.
Well said.
*How do other…
Black, white grey and natural timber tones , bit of stainless steel does
Black, white grey and natural timber tones , bit of stainless steel, does it for me
Triple cancer, sun, moon and merc. I love wearing black and have a lot in my wardrobe.
I don’t have much in my house though. I have a lot of colour.
And today i am wearing a green dress. Yesterday however I was all black. I live inner city melbourne though.
oh and my mum is taurus sun cancer moon and doesn’t do black at all. not in furniture or in clothes.
I wear lots of warm oranges and turquoise plus only gold jewellery not silver as it goes completely dull when put next to my skin (it’s amazing, my sister, a “summer” can wear silver and if I put one of her necklaces on it loses its sparkle it she can wear it and shine) but I think the oranges, golds and all round warmness is very Leo and very me
Try it http://simplystylishmom.com/2011/04/09/know-thy-colour-dressing-your-season-101/

Usually wear is pastel overload.
anna wintour hates black. scorpio
Was thinking of her as I typed:-)
the only black I can recall from pictures of her is on her sunglasses….
true actually
Hugo Boss is affordable as is Calvin Klein.
As is Gap. And they have mileage, so they are investments.
With freelance work it can be feast or famine financially.
I think these are both at least 10 years old.
ha. I know that feeling. years of full tie professional income and a shopping habit to match (oh, *there’s* my house deposit!) so now when I ask for student concessions – with correct ID of course – I look all grown up and sophistocat, so I receive skeptical looks from time to time….but all I have is two 5c pieces rattling around in my wallet. so, yes…
full *time
I actually look really good in white or black even though I’m deffo not a winter person (reddy pink in the complexion, freckles, hazel eyes, dark brown hair) … but I can’t get away with white due to my general sloppiness.
But most of all, black is borrrrrrrring….
I would say they can identify where they have leverage, and also employ principles of conservation of energy (unless stalking
)
I knew I’d get dinged for using the word lazy, which is why I chose the word “lazier” as in I could learn a lot about going with the flow, using leverage with less effort, etc, from a Scorp.
I thought black just made me look skinny….;)
Hahaha
love it!
You know yesterday this post made me just have to wear black being a Scorpio and all, and guess what I rock black and yes I looked super skinny and haut
Whomever said black is boring….BAWHAHAHAA I am gonna say no one was bored looking at me ;P
“I wear too much black? Until they come up with a darker color, it’ll have to do.”
Scorpio Sun, Neptune, Mercury, North Node here. Though my Taurus rising loves the rest of the colors too.
“got any blacker?”
Scorpio stellium here…i’ll stop wearing black when they come up with a darker color
ditto.
I look great in it. Love black leather. Would never part with it- ever.
Death before pastels.
xx
Word!
fuq yeah.
Black says don’t be Jealous of me cause I am Hanging with the Kardashians…So why Did Bruce Jenner hit the Road then ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????..is it cause when you go black you don’t go Back ?
on my way to meet a Scorp, I picked a black outfit and red eyeglass frames. will report back
Back in the 80′s, i thought people wore black in Adelaide to save on dry cleaning bills & laundry.
What’s the New Black….white?
me to a ‘T’ although i’m a Sagg. Have Scorp in Mercury though.
I live in black for work; totally ‘don’t bother me and i won’t bother you’. It’s my ‘leave me alone’ armour. works well too!!
but i love that black can be sexy too… sometimes i can carry it off!
oh, and i drive a black car (it’s black and sinister-looking and i love it!).
it’s true, once you’ve had black, you don’t go back!!…
Not a Scorp (OK, heavy Pluto influence), but I love black for a rather Leo reason- my long hair looks just great againest it
.
I also love white, but lately find it harder to wear as said hair is getting a bit grey *ahem*, and it just doesn’t look that great anymore.
Actually, my favorite color is royal blue- looks great with my hair (greys and all) and my skin tone and eye color.
I really hate those glow in the dark greens, oranges and pinks. Did that in the 60s, and that was enough, thank you very much.
Oddly, black has actually taught me to not take everything so seriously.
seconded.
Can not do red either, even have Venus in Aries(!) – would rather be head to toe black any-day. Even red lipstick is eeew, if I wore lipstick that is.
I love the painting colors/wear your chakra experiment idea!
I am going to try it. If anything shocks of beautiful look gorgeous with black!
Me too!
I think black is beautiful, but the human energy field doesn’t respond well to all black clothing all the time.
i agree and yes, sometimes wearing black when I am low on energy or ill doesn’t help. Red picks me right up.
Thank you beautiful! How is your emergence progressing? Names and colours and selfhood all blossoming in harmony?
Always knew black was Scorp…no brainer….Wearing all black right now…black yoga pants, t-shirt, hoodie, sandals and purse..My sunglasses so dark purple they seem black…
Moon in 8th bi-quintile Pluto/iC?
and I drive a black car….
That black poem is speaking to me!
