What’s the deal with Instile and vogue anyone? I checked out the stars in them while I was in the supermarket, (I think you could ‘free-read’ there all day and no-one would give a tinker’s) . . they don’t seem to credit anyone with them anymore. Eons ago Australian Vogue had fantastic stars but this month’s .. meh. The other wasn’t all that flash either. I suppose I shouldn’t say that . . .
I used to occasionally get the urge to buy a glossy mag. But no more–not in the least. Why would you? Publishing is tough. It has to change.
My day can be gauged by my twitter feed. Mr Geddes.followed me after my typo riddled tweet of indignation about the author of Jurassic Park. Do I know this. No. Does it make any difference. Not really. Nice man. (Mr Geddes) Probably in his sixties. I’m consdering most of that demographic public enemy no.1. But that’s just me. They have yet to prove me wrong.

Are you talking about Sun and Venus transiting your natal moon? That wouldn’t be a rare transit. Having an eclipse on the degree of your moon could be a reset, but it may be months or even years before you can see how that plays out. I read somewhere for every second or minute the eclipse lasts, its energy is in effect for a month or a year. I know that’s vague, but my point is you shouldn’t expect something to happen on the spot.
I don’t know as much about personal planet (moon, sun, mercury, venus, mars) transits. They happen pretty frequently and don’t last long. The long term transits of outer planets (Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto) are ones that last years and I can usually tell how its impacting me and use some knowledge of astro to help me manage it.
If anything, having all that going on in your sign should make you a little hotter, more energized than usually. Enjoy!
ABFAB, your question is a little unclear. I assume that you are saying that your natal moon is 21 degrees Capricorn. You mentioned this in the comments a few posts ago . . .I told you that this is a great launching point for things you desire. You said something then about having several new projects already in the works . . . so this is partly a reply to what you said then, as well as to your question now . . .
Having a new moon (i..e., both Sun and Moon) conjoin your natal moon is, at its most basic, just a really nice transit. More than that, though, it’s a superb point to “state your intention to the Universe,” because it’s a ripe time to bring what you desire to you. Now that sounds a little vague and rather new-agey, sorry, so let me say it this way. Susan Miller said something this month in her horoscopes about new moons being like a fresh rosebud . . . follow this analogy, because it’s really helpful. The rosebud opens up as soon at the moment of the new moon. It continues to open up in splendor from that moment on, but, like a rose, the further away it gets from that moment of opening up, it starts to fade and lose its beauty. This is why timing around new moons is so important. It really is.
So what I’m saying is that, while it’s great that you’ve been doing new things, — change is good these days —as far as the new moon goes, use that moment (and the hours closely following), to do something really noteworthy and powerful to either elevate one of those projects to a new height, or to do something to open up the window to something you really want to bring into your life.

. The new moon happens where I live during the late afternoon on Friday. So I am planning on going on Friday night to a social event where I know there will be a lot of people with the same interest in this one particular hobby I have . . . I am telling the universe, here I am, I want to bring love and friendship in my life. Even though 21 Capricorn isn’t in close orb to any of my planets, I have been so amazed at what new moons can do that I am making a special effort to do something important to me as close to that new moon as I can. With the new moon being exact on your own moon, you could make even more magic.
Here’s another way to approach it: How much do you know about being born under a Cap Moon? Have you read up on everything you can about Cap Moon people? Not sure if Mystic still has her Luna Luxe available, but fortify yourself with as much knowledge as you can about what that Moon means. So then you can look to activate things that are prevalent about that Moon. Scheduling of course comes to mind, as does sophistication, an executive-mindset . . . you may want to consider engaging in something at the point of the new moon that accentuates those parts of the Cap Moon. You say you’ve got some new projects in the works . . .do any of them need coordination? Setting a new schedule in place at the new moon is one example of maximizing the potential of the new moon to advance a project.
Again, sorry this is so long, but hopefully it’ll get you thinking. The best way to learn this is to be conscious that it’s happening and watch it as it unfolds. You’ll start noticing the patterns . . .
This is great info. The luna lux is online for subscribers under the Oracle tab. One thing subscribing to MM has done for me is made me much more aware of the importance of moon cycles.
My moon is at 19,19′ Capricorn in the 9th house. Cap moon isn’t easy but with so much Saturn energy these days it fits well; we’re familiar with that energy. The new moon should be an interesting turning point for the new year.
Many astrologers are pretty negative about Cap moon and it can be discouraging to read that stuff, as if we can never be happy or carefree. I’ve found Eric Francis’s writing on the Cap moon a bit deeper and more encouraging while still acknowledging it’s not always an easy emotional path. With many Scorpio planets I find that I feel things very intensely but the Cap moon perhaps limits my ability to express my feelings comfortably, and there’s often blowback when I try to speak my truth.

Yes, VenusRules, I agree, lots of Cap Moon descriptions are rather bleak. Debbi Kempton-Smith says it’s even more twisted than a Scorpio Moon . . . although she says it in a humorous way rather than a dark ominous way. I didn’t even want to go into it being prevalent in orphans.
Thanks for shedding more light about that combination of Scorp and Cap Moon. Sigh, I have a lover with that . . TONS of Scorp and a Cap Moon. When I’m with him, it so feels like love, it’s such a powerful attraction, but he claims he doesn’t know what love is because he’s never felt it. It certainly has made him the most controlling person I have ever known.
my kiddo’s dad is sun-moon-mars-merc in cap- DC too- and he is an utterly deranged control freak. As in, I have a permanent restraining order against him. Sick and twisted yet airtight mental constructs that would send him into violent fury when challenged.

I know someone who described a deranged cap in her life as “bad-logic-rage-monster” is there any hope for these people? will pluto demolish these rigid and insane psychological structures? rhetorical questions I suppose. Hi ABFAB, there are a few Cap moon-ers around here, I’m one – moon at 15 Cap exact conj Lilith and Eros-Juno-Vertex conj just a couple of degrees away – all in 5th. I too found negative interps and stayed away from those… it’s just energy, the good or bad is how we use it, right?
for me, the best way to relax is to put in a really solid day’s labour, followed by an epsom salts bath and a glass of proper champagne, and sleep on amazing high quality sheets. Satisfying labour can be my relaxation. I find if I get obsessed with status-thoughts etc it usually means I need to tweak something in my daily life – work a bit harder or smarter at something productive.
My moon-Lilith conjunction also makes many aspects to many of my planets including a grand earth trine, so there is a LOT of energy there, best channelled for good not evil
I started w Mystic’s luna luxe to get to know my Cap moon better. At first I thought’ ‘oh boo, structure, weights, scheduling, that’s not fun’. But if you take the value judgements out of words like ‘structure’ it begins to make sense.
It holds true for me that if I keep my foundations strong – a clear and ordered work structure, exercise, strength training, mineral baths – my more creative woo woo Piscean stuff can be better expressed. Yes I can be what some would call a loner but mostly I am all about quality of interaction, and the right kind of solitude is restorative.
What I learned is that relaxation doesn’t equate slobbing out

I blame (credit?) my Cap moon force field for the fact that so many of my significant relationships- friends and lovers- have been with multi-Caps. I love them, although over time they generally have found my Piscean stuff too ‘wafty’ for them. The only exception was a Mars/NN Pisces guy (exact conj my Piscean stellium).
I have Mars in Virgo but have never had a Virgo lover. The only two Virgo men I know are both low Virgo.
I’ve been window shopping on dating sites in prep for singlehood, and my Mars in Virgo rules out all the dudes who can’t spell, write or punctuate

Thanks to 12th House Virgo for pointing me to Luna Luxe – hadn’t read it before! And read it just as the Sun is conjoining my moon today in Cap. Fascinating… exactly right about Cap moon preferring two nights in a good hotel to two weeks in cheap digs. Absolutely.
What I don’t quite grasp is how to work with the 9th house moon aspect. I don’t seem to express that, or my Venus and Saturn in Sag in the 7th (10 degrees apart so it’s not as challenging as it could be). I love learning about other cultures but never quite get that easy loose attitude of Sag. Maybe because 7th house is still ruled by Scorpio.
First, get to know your moon as Cap moon. Nourish it. Accept it. Then, worry about the house placements. Work on the one’s you do kind of get at first. I find the houses are much more karmic in nature and tend to be hard to grasp. In any case, I’ve found you can stare at your chart for years and suddenly “get” something new. Evolve and trust. Happy (almost) New Moon!
