Tina & Amy @ The Golden Globes – Super Working Their Astro
Is it just me or are the Golden Globes suddenly feeling more relevant than the other ones? And has it something to do with the pure raw freshness of this year’s hosts – Tina Fey & Amy Poehler?
They’re super compatible as comedic performers, obviously and it reflects in their astro. They’re both Earth signs with strong Leo and Air action. Fey is a multiple conjunct Taurus (Sun-Saturn-Mercury) with Leo Rising and Moon in Libra. Poehler is multiple conjunct Virgo (Sun, Pluto, Mercury, Venus) with Moon in Leo and Aquarius Rising.
They’ve both got the classic ‘success indicators’ in their chart…Tina Fey’s chart ruler – the Sun – is in the 10th house. The textbook version of that is something like “the native will always find acclaim.” Poehler has Mars conjunct her North Node in Aqua – Mars here makes the destiny happen, no matter what.
Fey has Moon-Jupiter in Libra – Poehler has Jupiter-Neptune in Saggo. Both fortunate, beautiful Jupiters. And basically, all of the strongest points in their charts are in beneficial ‘trine’ aspect with one another.
These women are doing their genius, work ethic and their astro brilliantly…And whaddya reckon of Jodie Fosters cryptic coming-out speech? It’s Saturn on her Neptune in Scorpio this month. She’s a multiple Scorp lurking behind a gregarious Saggo Rising.
Oh and…voila Clare Danes doing perfect Aries-In-Red (nobody does Red like an Aries) & note her plucky little Mars chin? Thoughts?

Okay, my professional life is a trainwreck at the moment but I am a driven lady and I have Sun in the 10th and Mars conjunct NN in ARIES. There is hope!
I’m sick today and just watched some clips. For the first time ever I actually had an interest in and wanted to watch an awards show! Love that Amy is uber-Virgo. Virgos (and earth signs in general) always get made out to be serious stickler types but in my experience they’re usually pretty damn goofy.
As A Virgo sun-mercury, I’m happy to reinforce this claim with my obscene clumsiness.

THAT was freakin’ AWESOME! And ballsy too…I’m sure it’s just “not done” to attack a director with that much clout. No matter how assy he may be.

Loved the performance of these two earth sistas, best ever. Big fan of their work. And was on the phone to my queer bf regarding Jodie’s speech instantly, reply ‘great news’. Love that she did it and love that her boys in the audience were so proud.

Only, I also have the added joy of a Capricorn Ascendant, providing me with the excruciatingly tedious lesson of patience & persistence, along with the whole “success later in life” theme… Marvelous.
I guess at least I know, I just have to keep climbing up that mountain.

I’ve just started new study/vocation and the first day was great and I was all inspired but today (the 2nd day) I was a little disheartened and impatient to get to the END already and start working in that field. Maybe that’s my Saggo moon.

How do you know if MARS in conjunct North Node!
Go to Astrodeinst site and do your chart. If your Mars is within 10 degrees (the closer, the better) of your NN (or True Node as Astrodeinst calls it) then it’s conjunct. Check the table below your chart for aspects. The little circle thingy in red means conjunct, * = sextile, triangle = trine etc. Click on Understanding Astrology for a basic lesson re the aspects for more info.

How apt was Ms. Foster’s speech! – As a scorpio with similar placements as hers (sag. ascendent and multiple scorpio) the acceptance speech made perfect sense. Also suspect that saturn in scorpio at the moment is making many scorpio’s fix, air, and close cycles to open new ones. It seems that Ms. Foster was of the same inclination. And do not ever underestimate a scorpio’s loyalty – it was displayed in full glory with her acknowledgement to Mr. Gibson. An apt example of ‘Scorpio doing the Saturn -matter-of-factly’ in a gracious, cool, and collected way… Great to see it so early on in the year!
I totally think she did it to acknowledge her partner. People were like – “what’s her point in talking about wanting privacy and talking about her sex life?” but its about that loyalty. Its very Saturn in Scorpio.

I have Chart ruler Sun barely at 2degrees and my thoughts are always: am a Cancer Rising or Leo Rising?
If Sun Chart ruler then the Sun is in 2nd house = taurus sig.
If Moon is Chart ruler then the Moon is on MC in taurus = taurus sig.
Guess it’s clear why it could be either – as well as many many telling characteristics of Moon Chart ruler which could be Leo artistic traits as well.
I have this mars conjunct NN you speak of and jupiter conjunct on other side of NN. Good to remind.
That aside, I love these women. love astro of performing peeps and their onscreen awesome. Loved Jodies speech. Privacy from the zoo. yes.
