We Move Like Cagey Tigers
Dear Mystic,
Can a moon sign ever totally ruin a sun sign? For a TOTALLY RANDOM example….Sagg sun, Libra moon. Where’s the bravado? Where’s the daring, adventure, the open-mindedness, the freaking polyamory?! Sagg’s may be insane, but at least they’re usually fun!
Is Libra totally ruining the natural sun Saggaciousness or is a rising signs fault? Are Libra’s wimps? (Sarcasm aside, I’m actually serious.) Or something *throws hands up in confusion* , I dunno, what can put a damper on a fire sun? Any ideas?
Rango Tango
Dear Rango Tango,
Libra actually is THE sign of polyamory. I wrote ages ago that LIbran women don’t have call waiting, they have cad waiting. They’re just a lot more low-level and quiet about it than Saggos. Librans like you to assume they really were all day at the day spa. You know, like, every day. Whereas Sagg is more like “Guess WHAT? I just got hit on by my neighbor and, like WOW, you know…” All right i am exaggerating.
Librans are not wimps. Saturn can put a damper on a Fire Sun. But in general, they just keep going and going, stadium concerts in hot pants at age 75 sort of thing. Generally speaking, most of us do our Sun Signs and repress our Moons…it depends, obviously.
What does everyone else think?

Sagi Sun reporting.
Hmmm.. have a Cap moon and it hasn’t been so much of a downer in an overall life sense but for example, the recent Pluto move has changed the vibe so I wonder if the bigger transits can bring about different trends of outter expression.
so true!
i have actually thought about this theme for a long time, and never came across a solid truth. i even dreamt about it once.
i am a real Aqua, with Jupiter in Aqua near the Sun, but i also have a very trickster, elusive, still UNKNOWN Moon in Kataka in the hidden 12th. I have the temptation to put the blame on her (my moon) every time things go wrong. i mean…..wtf is she doing there? what am i supposed to do with her?
Hahaahaa!!! So funny…I was just looking into (well, trying anyway!) the 12th house yesterday…trying to get a grip on what it’s all about…sooooooo, sooooo, nebulous!
I’m a Pisces 3rd house Sun w/ my ruling planet Neptune in Saggo. over in my 12th house…still waiting for that to reveal it’s doings over there too, so I feel your pain with your moon!
But Kataka Moon in the 12th…hmmm, some hidden nurturing talents mayhaps??? Are you a mother? Caretaking of any sort in your future??? Animals maybe? Feeding the homeless???
I dunno…but I’m sure it can be a bit unnerving for your logic loving Aqua self!
Sorry, didn’t mean to post anonymously! That was me above!
hey! hi flyingtigerfish
i didn’t undestand, is your Neptune in the 12th?
and, about me, nope, i’m not a mother, but, yes, i do care about nurturing peeps, friends, pets, and whoever crosses my path in a sort of needy way. i do caretake and sometimes in a unusual kind of way. i like to drop flower essences in every place i think they are needed and i’m very in tune with animals and plants. i like every sort of creature, and i have a deep sense of pain every time i sense someone vulnerable is in pain or discomfort.
i can’t stand violence to the little ones, being them pets, people, or old ones who are fragile and alone.
i’ll always fight against it.
also, this moon has a dreamy, intuitive side, and i’m good at picking up impressions from others and then elaborate… sometimes this process get so deep inside it hurts. sometimes i’m overwhelmed by other peeps energy and i have to be alone for a while to clean myself and return to my “me”.
it’s not easy, esp with my Aqua Sun which tends to be more detached and airy…
anyway, if i was born with this, i have no choice but accept and work with my whole self.
hope i’ll understand better and better the nature of my moon so i could feel more at ease with her. i’m not nowadays totally liking it at its fullest. it keeps sort of having a life underneath i can’t grasp. but, hey, maybe that’s also the point of a 12th house moon.
Hi! To answer your question, yes, my Neptune is in my 12th house in Sagittarius…I’m still trying to uncover what that’s all about!
Something to do with keeping my creative/imaginative self hidden maybe…also seems to have a similar effect to having the moon there…in that I’m VERY concerned with the wellbeing of other creatures…similarly to what you described (I read this in an older astro text, that that was one of the traits of Neptune in the 12th).
Anyhoo, in my research yesterday on the 12th house, what kept coming up (besides the ancient ideas of it being the house of doom, gloom, enemies, institutions, hospitals etc) was that 12th house planets seem to be like our “children with special needs”…we have deep latent talents there, but must first work through the mysteries and any dark sides of the specific planet’s energies before we can uncover those talents and let them shine. They need LOTS of development!
I found a great article on the 12th house in Astrodienst that you might like to check out…here’s the link: http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_dgtwehouse_e.htm
wow, this article is really great! thanks a lot! and yes, 12th house planets are a mystery and a gift. i totes agree with you and with what the author writes. it indeed takes time and effort though..
returning to your question about Neptune in the 12th…um..
the planet of Pisces in its own home. cute! and you’re a Pisces as well. you must be a super intuitive type, brilliantly picking up impressions and little things around (3rd house Sun) and trasform them into a whole multi-dimensional work (of art?) and genius!
or is it just that you have a secret personal radar that you can switch on and off whenever you need it? maybe, it works better with moonbeams and stellar energy that with electric one…
or, maybe, you’re just a lovely mermaid
well, i was i little bit fantasizing here, but, i think, actually, that 12th house planets are better understood with a sort of jungian kind of cinematic thinking.
as for example, i don’t know..have you ever heard about Active Imagination?
it’s a method in jungian analysis in which you actually ‘speak’ with a part of yourself that you want to know better. you just ‘meet’ this part and for a lapse of dedicated time, and space, go into this inner world of yourself and go on chatting and seeing that part you want to see.
i think it is not only a jungian type of practice, but also, a shamanic one. i found this method in more than one culture.
here’s a link, but you can find others easly elsewhere around..
http://www.bodysoulandspirit.net/hypnagogia/what/define.shtml
xxx
Ooh! Thanks for that link! I’m already fascinated…I’ve tried similar practices in my distant past, and think it might be time to revisit!
I definitely pick up on things in my environment…indeed I absorb it ALL; but for some reason I’ve never thought of myself as one of those uber-intuitive Pisces for some reason, though I have a few friends who would beg to differ. I think when we swim around in the ocean all the time absorbing everything in the water seems un-exceptional a bit.
I do know when I *trust* my intuition rather than second guess it, it’s pretty much always is right on target, but I have a hard time doing that sometimes, as I’m very much a people pleaser/peace maker type (which I’m working on…just in the not being a doormat category!!!)
And I’m definitely a combination of mermaid, and stellar energy wave girl, but with a ton of air in my chart (5 planets & w/ a grand Air trine) I can also download via the electric waves! I’ve always seen myself as one of the more logical Pisces I know!
sorry for all the type-os and run on sentences…the little fields get narrower and narrower as we reply down, and it’s hard to get a feel for what you’re writing!
i’m too kinda of pleaser/peace maker type! can understand that! i think partly this is due to my 7th house Sun and Jupy which want EVERYONE going on well with each others and all the aqua themes of “global friendshipness” etc.. utupian but fun
indeed

loved your grand trine in air, must be very stimulating!! me too i have one!!
well, i loved this topic! thanks for sharing your insights!
x
Yes! Much fun, and thank you too! Grand Air Trine I’m told makes us word wizards! If you have any latent writing or speaking skills, it would be wise to cultivate them! Cheers!
I struggle with the prescription of caretaking qualities to kataka.. My true node is in kataka in the 12th and I have a loaded 4th house. Yes, I am a mother, but this is only a part of who I am. I am studying to be a psychologist ( I want to work in psychotherapy) so maybe a 12th house true node is somewhat relevant here?
the axis 12th/6th is relevant to what pertains to health issues and any form of cure…then a loaded 4th puts emphasis in the inner/imaginative world and all the caretaking activities. then, why not ?
Oooh, I’m a Cappy with Libra rising and Kataka moon. I’m tugged between all three influences and it’s hell, though I think I’m getting more moony’ as I’m getting older… Or maybe I’m just finally admitting I’m a nurturer, sooky, emotive thing who would rather hug trees and save baby birds than deal with idiot people.
Having said that, i have definitely felt a kick up the arse and my ambitions re-awaken since Saturn changed signs. Maybe my Cap master planet is in charge after all? Probably about time I got back in the uber-ambitious Cap saddle. I’m running out of money (well, a Cap’s version of ‘running out’ which probably isn’t running out at all…)
Hehehe, similar but different configuaration.
Cancer sun, Cappy rising…. Aries moon and a LOADED seventh house. Tug of war you say.
It’s all, mmm I’d like to be all lace and lady-like go bake some cookies (Cancer) but let’s be serious (Capricorn) and assert our right to be THE centre of attention (Aries)…… But, you know, what does everyone else want to do (seventh house…….aka Libra represent!)
I’m cap sun, cancer rising and libra moon – married to an aries with a scorpio rising and gemini moon. I totally understand your inner push-pull – I seem to go through phases of each. Although I do find I have insanely good emotional intelligence and determination. Not much fitness but.
I like your comment on the emotional intelligence. I think you’re onto something here. Could be a positive aspect of my true node in kataka I think.. ( oh and I am libra sun)
Hmmm Leo sun with Cancer moon and Saturn its a bloody dampener for sure!
I’m Leo sun and Cancer moon too…. If I can quote Mystic here from my Zeitgeist my moon is like the Zap Zone it girl as its squareing Uranus which really makes sense as all these years I just figured it hadnt kicked in or was being washed out by my Pisces Moon or something… Moon in Cancer in the 5th house seriously by my age I should be swanning around with my heaving cleavage and a nest of babies….. (I have no cleavage or babies!) So Like I guess it depends on what other big flavours are in the mix?
LOL Fire Fish: I too am Leo Sun/Cancer NN,Vertex, Mars, Moon in 5th/Pisces Asc and I do have cleavage and my children are my gifts (now 12 & 14). I have Pluto opp AND Uranus squaring my Moon right now and it’s changed my landscape fosho. I’m guessing I’m older than you as I have a grand water trine including Chiron,Vesta conj in Pisces/Moon/Neptune,Pallas, Juno conj in Scorp plus having Venus/Vertex/NN/Mars/Moon conj in Gem/Cancer 4th/5th plus a packed Virgo 7th house which sextiles all that water energy. I really think the outer planet connections are super influential. Nice to know someone with same major 3 though. xx
Me three Leo sun and Cancer moon! I think I bring the Leo though. Very sooky with my kid, no surprises there. But I think my Cap ascendant actually helps the Leo-ness.
Alas, *raises hand*, I confess I’m guilty of the whole moon supression thing. My Leo moon self is a bit of a shy lunar kitty.
It’s the only fire in my chart too. Sometimes the drama is a good thing, but I’m often emotionally conflicted.
Moon squares my Sun/Merc/Jupiter in Taurus.
I feel the opposite, I think my Sag moon over rules my Scorpio sun a lot of the time. I kind of want to just wallow around in my own intensity and Plutonic drama but my moon (and the other Sag stuff I have) gives me this infuriatingly, irrepressible optimism that ruins all my plans. I know things are bad when I can’t be even mildly distracted by some kind of fun plan, adventure or a book.
I think a Libra moon might force a Sag sun into being in a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship, not always but a lot of the time the Libra moons I know have to be partnered or they’re displaced and miserable.
WHY do I still have a face?? I’ve deleted my Gravatar pic and emptied my cache, obviously I’m not allowed to hide anymore. Annoying.
Yeah, I wonder about that libra moon relationship stuff – the libra moon also swings/shifts about, and if it’s moving in the wind of the saggi wake then brief affairs … lots of em but, I at least, have a flair for (unconsciously?) choosing the ones who don’t get all home and hearthy.
Saggo Sun, Libra Moon and I am always in relationships. I feel like I thrive better. I work better. I’m nicer to people. I am more optimistic and athletic and all the haute Saggo things.
B/c of this relationship “compulsion” though, I tend to be attracted to / go after / fall for guys that aren’t quite right. And stick around too long until I’ve had it and leave in a blaze of “fuq you, I’m gonna explore the world-ness.” Low Sagg?
The thing I’m wondering about though, is post Saturn fuquing with my Libra moon …all I can think about is marriage and a kid. (Not a “baby” per se … but like a four-year-old). Someone else’s? Maybe a man with a kid?
I’ve never been as swoony and maternal as I am now. Before my career was my baby (still is … sort of) but I feel a *serious* focus on “the married life” … well, with a bit of polyamory involved. See? Saggo Sun / Libra Moon is a recipe for schizophrenia, methinks. (And that’s not counting the Scorp Rising).
I can relate. I’m Aries rising but have every other planet in Scorp, Sag and Libra with dominant Libra. I tend to avoid relationships unless I feel like they’re right (Scorpio, no half measures) and I have a tendency to be a bit of a non committal cad. Funnily enough I’ve been thinking a LOT about the whole child thing, have concluded that a partner who already has them is my best bet. Some by proxy parenting sounds good, although pref without baby mama dramas. Ugh who knows!
I think sometime the fire charges through if the right planets are repressed lol! My libra moony is tucked away in the 12th, and my toro sun is also tucked away, intercepted in the 6th – no one ever believes i am a toro sun. The saggi ascendant appeases them somewhat but i think its the neptune rising that throws them … gawd i don’t know. am rambling. procrastinating. so many words to write and this paragraph is biggest flow have had in hours. ho hum
“We move like cagey tigers” ahhh– what is that from?! I know it, but can’t think of it. It’s driving me nuts!
“We move like cagey tigers, we couldn’t get closer than this, the way we walk, the way we talk, the way we stalk, the way we kiss” etc …. The Love Cats by The Cure – that was a gorgeous ditty with an equally gorgeous film clip
Of course! Miss you, kiss you, love cats!
Thanks
Love that song!
! Ah! That’s what it is. Pi x
I dunno. I feel like my sun (Taurus), moon (libra) and rising (scorpio) are all quite complimentary.
I simply like things to look and smell nice, feel comfy, taste good and (especially at the moment- WHAT IS WITH YOU SATURN??) be fuqable.
um. yes. exactly. and YES. Sexy Saturn. Who’d thunk it?
Ooooooh. Could the Saturn @ our Scorp Risings be making the super-sexual-charged-overly-want-to-jump-this-man’s-bones energy that I’m feeling now?
It’s the only explanation I can come up with! Or I suddenly only know hot people and will spontaneously combust..
My Virgo moon usually leads my career choices.. stability, regular 9-5 work schedule, consistency and than my Gemini sun starts feeling restricted after a few years of this “monotony” and says F it all and goes off to be a gypsy for a short while .. say 2-4 months.. Then the virgo kicks in – panic mode– craving stability, regular paycheck, and the whole thing begins again… AAACCKK!
Help! Gem sun, Aqua rising and Pisces moon here – and I am convined my moon has been the source of my problems (too bloody sensitive). Mind you, I also have a sun saturn opposition and uranus and pluto in 7th.
“Librans are not wimps… in general, they just keep going and going, stadium concerts in hot pants at age 75 sort of thing”
LOL such a great mental image and so true. My Libran mother is still hanging out for live rock concerts at age 67 – though I think she has given up on hot pants. You know, in case Germaine Greer is in the audience as well and is appraising her from behind.
Virgo moon, Aqua sun. The way I dress and the things I eat and how I decorate and take care of my house (moon in 4th house) are all totally Virgo. Clean, fresh, woodsy. I’m also attracted to men who are more ‘earthy,’ but that may be thanks to my Venus in Cap.
However, the speed at which my mind races, my random comments, my liberal views, my disdain at anything common/normal/accepted path, is all so Aqua.
I do think that a moon sign different from a sun sign could create a weird sense of conflict between how you feel and who you believe yourself to be. I vacillate back and forth between being grounded and flighty. It’s confusing sometimes.
I too am an Aqua sun, but find that my moon (Scorpio in the 7th) is a more accurate reflection of my inner world and my intimate relationships. Like you, the social conscience and intellect is dominant and outwardly expressed but then I read things about Aquas like the off the wall sci-fi and ultra detachment that I don’t relate too. Whereas reading the Scorpio luna luxe, I think that’s pretty much me, and some parts of the libra moon. I was born on a moonday too. Though I’m not one to hold a grudge. Too much Aqua and Aries for that.
I agree with Mystic that in daily life I suppress my moon. It’s a man’s world, after all.
I seriously hope moon signs have some influence. As a Scorp with Scorp rising, I wish my Gemini moon would occasionally give me a more airy way with things! I’m so earnest about everything I sometimes can’t stand myself. For instance: I started a new job teaching at a college. I was taken on in September and the semester started two weeks later, so didn’t really have enough time to prepare. I have received a lot of help from my mentor (she’s given me hints and samples of her exercises etc.). But she doesn’t cover all courses, so I had to ask another lecturer about a course. She simply dismissed my email request, and when I met her by chance she said: think for yourself!
I was baffled! So shocked I couldn’t sleep at night. I’ve rarely encountered such hostile behaviour, and certainly not in a professional environment. The Scorpio in me has put her on my black list.
But I never live out my revenge fantasies… I wish I could! But I always fear it’ll get back to me somehow.
I have never regretted restraint of vengefulness, but I have regretted lack of forethought about how my actions will domino! Teaching in those environments can be so tricky politically my friends say, good luck.
Hey DTS, I can understand why you would get a shock at such an experience. Her words do sound harsh, but not that hostile. She’s just sounding like she’s not willing to help. Which is fair enough, since you have won your position and also have a mentor.
Rather than revenge, why don’t you ask this lady for coffee next time you see her and explain to her why you approached her and what it is about her experience you want to learn from?
Anyone got tips on how to repress a moon more intensely/successfully?
My kakata moon is really killing the buzz from the awesome sun/mercury/neptune/lilith conjunction in sagg and it squares the other potentially awesome venus/mars/uranus conjunction in scorpio.
I’m super keen to get out and work those bits of me but I keep being soaked in sooky, emotive stuff which really of dampens the whole fire/energy/passion thing.
Lol, cancer moon buzz kill! What Kataka type needs are not being met b4 you can buzz off Saggi style, I am curious?
yes – wow! I guess if my moon is being a buzz kill then I’m not really suppressing it at all.
I have an enormous appetite for love, affection, nurturing and intimacy which I find really difficult to express . When I can’t give and receive love and intimacy I go very low crab. Relationship breakups in particular set me off on long and boring nostalgia/why didn’t I/guilt tripping jags.
I should be working this instead of hiding it.
Thanks for the insight!
venus/mars/uranus in scorp – hello? when you are pair bonded = amazing kinkorama ?? miaow
But I can see the difficult dynamics of free loving saggo energy versus kataka caring intensity moon.
You’d think so right? Especially if you add pluto in the 8th to the mix…. But actually, no – have tried it a bunch of kinky stuff and it’s really not for me.
But that’s not to say things in the bedroom are not intense and amazing…
Moon in Libra conjunct Pluto, Sun et al. in Scorp; Neptune conjunct North Node in Sagg, Jupiter conjunct ascendent in Pisces. I have *no idea* what comes from where or when– I’m just along for the ride! Weeeeee
hee hee,, I am pisces rising too and that comment makes sense to me!!
Hugs X
hmm, Im also a saggi sun with libra moon….(although I also have merc, jupiter, neptune and assorted asteroids in sag)
Most people would say im ultra-sagg, although when I was younger i definitely didnt feel or act like one-HAD to be in a relationship, didn’t have a passport, loved playing house (although i thought that had something to do with toro rising)
This would suggest to me that either you “grow into” your sign (hopefully the haute version!), or the transits of those outer planets are influencing the scene (I really seem to feel Pluto, where ever he goes, my life focus seems to follow…)
Anyone got any ideas about that?
BTW-what IS a Libra moon supposed to do? It really seems to have no influence at all and is in my 6th house, not hiding out in the 12th or anything…
Just try repressing a Scorp Moon. Scorp is not a quiet wallflower sign. Libra is more like tofu; it takes on the flavour around it. I’d say unless you have a quiet moon sign you’ll be slapped in the face by your moon sign esp if its in a sign that does not pair well with yours.
lol-”like tofu” i think you’re right!
As a Scorpio moon it never occurred you COULD suppress yr moon.
But that could have been my Leo Sun expressing itself again.
Same andro. Scorpy moon will not bow down to the pffft royal Leo sun. Means I am dammed to an eternal life of foot and mouth but there is never a dull moment. Espesh when the leo is regally seething and wants to rip someones head off so scorpy moon just comes right out and says so. F##
You sound like heaps of fun, leogroover, like a character in a show i would love to watch. (I don’t watch shows about passive aggressives who always say the right thing). Your moon and sun interplay give you an unboring life, and a bit of spine by the sounds of it. Props
Thank you gem. my life is a bit brigit Jones ish and I like BJ I do have the bad boy and a shy sexy guy thing happening but NEWS FLASH just got message from new leo hotman using the little ‘l’ word OMG we’ve only had 1 date with only 1 drink !
Lol, go groover! I relate to Mila Kunis our fellow Leo Sun, Scorp Moon girl in that she seems pretty candid & direct!
Virgo Sun, Aquarius moon.
Seemingly together, but concerned that I’m mentally scatty. I tend to go from extremes, Organisational Powerhouse to Space Cadet in (sometimes) seconds. I do have control over this, promise!
Although, I do have Libra Rising, so if I look good (or at least well presented) while doing so, who gives a fuq.
Scorpio sun, Capricorn moon. In some ways harmonious, but it definitely can be a buzzkill to Scorpio calm confidence and, well, trampiness.
Cool
I always wondered this. I am Aries Sun with a Libra Moon and I read somewhere that that was a bad combo. I don’t like Astro sites that are all “Oh you’re this and that so you’re doomed!” Yay for MM
Thanks for asking Rango Tango.
I’m the opposite ( or am I?
) – libra sun, aries moon. You must be a full moon baby like me, since your moon sign is the opposite from your sun sign.
My aries moon certainly comes out and ruins the ‘nice’ image when I get emotional lol I live to be authentic, so no holding back. I think libra + aries = activism of some kind, you care for justice and truth. I ‘push my feminist agenda’ pretty much every day
Hanging out at concerts in hot pants at 75? I sure hope so. Have to laugh, I didn’t realize I could claim that with my Libra Moon/Venus . . but was proving it last week when at the age of 49 I was hanging out at a trance/ electronica rave. Well maybe that was my 12th house Neptune that loved the high from the beat of the music-the only high I need
I’m female with Aqua Sun, Pisces Moon.
In my case, I think my Moon represses my Sun as my moon has many more aspects to it than my sun, and so I think it is more dynamic in my chart. For example, my moon trines my Ascendant, so I think that brings it forth more, and there are other prominent aspects. My moon is near the midheaven as well as it is conjunct my Mercury, nearly conjunct my Mars (also in Pisces), sextile my Venus, and opposing my Jupiter.
My Sun is in the 8th house and sextiles Saturn in the 10th, but that’s really the only aspect my Sun has.
My Aquarian streak does come through at times, though. I can be quite cold and detached, though those aren’t the most positive traits of an Aqua, I know…
Kataka Sun, Virgo Rising, Aqua Moon..but most people take me for a Scorp? What the? But from thence came my theory of how Scorpionicity is catching.
I think no matter how my Cancer sun can emote, my methodology is tres Virgo underpinned by the Aqua. One thing I feel is a blessing is my ability to really understand another person’s perspective, mind it doesn’t do me any favors at times but I had to actually teach myself to occupy my own space. My Cancer sun picks up emotions extremely quickly, and the Aqua intuition goes electric to deliver what I know in my gut is true.
Virgo just organizes it all.
haha, cool FA
Have you ever taken the Pluto test over at Donna Cunningham’s site? I scored a 52 or something . I thought I would be more Uranian with Sun/Merc-Ur connections.. Pluto is on my IC opposite Sun/Mn midpoint and Moon in 8th, etc.
But those kinds of things could be the underlying reason why you have or attract that vibe. I’ve known one money counterfieter (however you spell that…) A drug dealer, someone who got arrested for prescription fraud various underworld and sexual goings on both physical and otherwise..
But alas I must go to work now and do massage..Somebody gotta heal the stuff… lol
Virgo sun with repressed Leo moon – totally.
Aqua Sun, Libra Moon, Cap rising. For me the Libra moon means liking things nice and the ability to play devil’s advocate until the opposition gives up, then I switch sides.
Leo Moon. She’s happiest when she gets to take over, big hair and bravado.
Cancer Sun/Gemini moon/Taurus asc
It depends sometimes my Moon overrides my Sun more than 70 percent of the time. My gemini moon is in my 1st house conjunct my asc. Plus Saturn opposition does add to the repression of my sun sign.
Pisces sun plus four others, Cap moon plus three others… Cap stuff in a grand earth trine.
It’s a constant battle. Pisces wants to waft around and bunk off, Cap is awake in the middle of the night (ie now here in the west) worrying about not being productive, how to tackle major life decisions, lack of status blah blah blah.
In love, Pisces hooks them in, Cap sets the rules.
Pisces is going to win tomorrow – or is it today? I’ve thrown everything I have at this work contract and thanks to forces beyond my control, it wont’ be renewed. So fuq it, on Friday I’m wagging it and going to the beach.
Off topic but – my gig was amazing, totes got my performing mojo back. Getting the band back together on an ongoing basis. While I am up in the middle of the night I am reminded of what Oprah said: “remember what yes feels like”. And it was a big yes. I think Pluto transiting my Cap stuff is going to be about renewed musical creativity. It was always my first love but when young it couldn’t be separated from the need to be ‘successful’ at it. Now there is nothing to prove. How liberating. Plus I’m a much better writer than I was when I was 22. Cap moon will help me with the discipline to learn music properly, which I’ve always hankered after.
Pisces sun and mercury, cap moon. I agree, it’s a battle. Working out very mundane issues in my dreams, which i used to want to spreadsheet. Chrysalis, do you normally do contract work? I do. I find it gives me the freedom for my piscean side but my cap moon loves contract rates and the bouts of super-productivity.
People think i’m a total flake but once they see me in action they realise that i’m beyond type A.
I too love the freedom too of a contract, plus I don’t have to get too involved in office politics, but at the mo I need something secure and ongoing. So, Cap is in charge of this process.
Funny, I get described as flakey too, but not by anyone who’s ever worked with me. All my Cap stuff is augmented by Mars in Virgo.
I guess as with everyone, balance is the key. Too much of one or the other is no good for me.
yes yes yes yes – was waiting for and anticipating positive news Chrysalis – enjoy the beach xoxo
Oh hey, there you are, yes it was absolutely fuqing amazing. LOVED it. In the zone. We were a bit under rehearsed but nobody minded. Great venue and top sound guys.
This is the one thing in my life that seems very simple right now, so am going with it. xxx
except for a lifelong carb addiction, i’ve repressed my toro moon my whole life. she won’t have it any more. gem sun is trembling and confused, but adaptable. toro moon is now willing to give up the carbs if she can have sensuality and beauty… we shall see how it all plays out.
also i have a (probably not original) hypothesis that mutable signs in yer chart are always overruled by fixed and cardinal ones. so my 4-year-old’s pisces rising doesn’t stand a chance against her leo sun and scorp moon. 8-year-old’s cancer moon and libra rising totally dominate her gem sun. early observations.
Ha ha ha haaaa…. that is exactly the power of the Mutable, often confused with wishy washy… give it time.
Think of:
a) a wave building out far on the ocean, and its unstoppable might once it reaches shore
b) a build up of air, gas or steam in a fixed size container
c) water dripping on stone
And i think that the nature of the Mutable, having to undergo all that limiting, defining and controlling by Fixed and Cardinal becomes infinitely strong with age (time). The self is discovered through the testing and the experimenting on the very nature of the self. Rocking your own perosnality to the ground or bending it down to its foundations is like footbinding, perhaps. A pain that is intense and deep and chronic. This kind of learning experience would break a Fixed sign or be refused by a Cardinal. Some Mutables go under, too, but she has strong astro support. What she fights in herself will eventually sustain her in the outer world.
this is perfect and resonates deeply. alchemy. thank you.
Dear Rango Tango
Fuq off
enough fire for you???
lol! spoken like a true saturn-sun transit survivor!
You betcha!

Brava! For the record i don’t find Libra wimpy at all. There is plenty of vascillation before decision/opinion time but once that time is reached, it’s CLEAR. I find Libran grace and humour wraps up sharp wicked observations. I have had some very straight up directions from Libs – in fact, if i think about it, some of you are bossy! Just doesn’t come packaged that way.
Can i just remind us of that brilliant Gillard Libran-Punch to the jaw that caused a change to a dictionary definition entry this week, one that was waiting 20 years to catch up with the word in actual use.
Good point about the Gillard punch ~ her Libra Sun in 10th and she made international headlines. An excellent eg of how tolerant and patient Libran’s will be, followed by how non-winpy and blunt/straight to the point also.
Are Sagg’s insane? should I go and ask my friend’s for their opinion. Mystic, can you do some kind of those quiz’s they used to have in teenage magazines for girls like “Are you a jealous one or cool as a cumumber” or “how good are you as a best friend” something like that and you have to answer a/b/c/none of the above? Maybe the online peeps could provide you with some (sensible) questions…..anyway, ill repost this if you dont see it on a more relevant post.
But we’re a mix of various astro, not simply a Sun…do you think it’d work?
Someone once told my my aquarius moon was a blessing among my sagg sun and pisces rising!
In my case my aqua moon means I am attracted to people who are a bit different and I go mad working in an environment where I have to be sane. I do work there and it drives me mad. I think the moon complements the sagg sun qualities of optimistic and happy and active….but my pisces rising makes me very nebulous at time…and life nebulous…
I’m not really answering rthe question – I think my aqua moon happens subconsciously. and sun more consciously. I have always been a bit eccentric.
The Libran Moon is interesting. Subtle charm, but in no way dampens Fire ~ a Fire Sun and Air Moon is nice ~ it blends for sophistication. I think Libra is perhaps the most sociable of all signs; Libra talks to everyone (communicative -air), and can’t help but be into details and this is how the Lib. charm works – Librans notice the details and little things most often over looked. I often comment on details to do with a person or feeling or place – most often it’s an aesthetic detail (Libra-art) – and then people seem to brighten up because they think you’re paying close attention, and you are, but it’s to everyone and everything – the exception is anything foul, disgusting or distasteful – Libra will ignore. So people will like me because my Lib. attention can make you feel like you’re not overlooked.
What I find interesting about Libra is the contradiction. While ruled by Venus, it is also an Air sign ~ the contradiction of being loving, warm, social, talkative, charming, fun and pleasure vibing and loving – yet detached, cool, sarcastic, polite, refined, unemotional. This is what makes Libra, maybe, a bit of a mystery.
Rango tango, are you into the slow-burn Fire energy, like a consistent bunsen burner, or a bonfire? What’s your Ascendant?
I agree with Mystic, I do the Sun sign. But lately, I have come to realise that I do my Venus more than anything ~ not hard because it blends well with Sun + Moon sensuality and because Venus rules my Sun, Moon, and is in my 1st.
With a bit more reflection, I know you’ll be able to work this out.
That is lovely first house venus! *takes notes*
You are welcome Juno
Leo Sun with Pisces Moon. I just do all the usual grandiose daft things that Leos usually do and then cry about them afterwards. :-p
funny. Love the name the more groovy Leo beings the better
Oh it’s hard to imagine a Leo who isn’t groovy!
(I did know one but she has been cut loose and doesn’t really exist.)
I love the title you used on this post, Mystic ~”love cats” The Cure
Having sun sign Gemini and moon sign Capricorn is a huge bummer a lot of time – always torn in at least sixteen directions…
HA HA HA Cap moon: “You KNOW this is total waste of your time! these people are idiots! So stop fuqing around and get the Very Important Thing done!!”
this was me. I have Gem rising and a Cap moon (pisces sun, bahaha)
Oh god yes the laugh of recognition from this Cap moon also
now that I think about it, Librans are anything BUT wimps. But where, say, Aries comes out fighting and Sagg /Leo will shout up a storm, or Taurus gets legal, Librans fight for the Centre, balance, and so on. I know some incredibly tough, excellent Librans who are *nothing* like the fluffy pink cushions and wedding-photos-on-the-mantelpiece types you might be led to believe. They are mediators, judicial types, inclusive, pleasant, NEVER rude, but they might be (eloquently) blunt where they see someone being highly unfair or unjust. The strength of Libra I have only truly come to understand through my mother recently who, while a Multiple Gemini, Aqua rising, also has a host of planets in Libra and the 7th house. In the most trying circumstances she has remained dignified, aware, strong for everyone, balanced, and focused on everyone being listened to and understood. I mean, she’s a pro at this but for the first time I see how these traits truly contribute to a harmonious existence where everyone wins.
So, saggi girl, since Sagg is also the house of the higher mind, legal matters, education and so on, perhaps you might be able to reconcile the Libra moon energy sextile the Saggi sun energy though this joint interest in the shared traits of both signs? i.e. peace n fun for all, an absence of judgement, ‘higher’ pursuits or thinking around balance, law, ‘policy’ .. the philosophy of Law?… that sort of thing? xx
lol. Also thinking of the Angry Pisces ex – all other traits aside, he had a super-tuned sense of fairness and would lose the plot if he saw someone getting stomped on (literally or figuratively). Maybe this is the other side – still fighting for fairness, but in this case *literally* fighting, badly grazed knuckles and all?! He also had a finely attuned sense of ridiculous comedy, which I did like – he had (has? I assume is still alive) Gem rising too, fuq he was a funny bastard. Mind you he could be a jerk. hence the Angry part. Bah I just don’t know anything anymore.
sorry – angry pisces ex had Libra moon – near PLUTO in Libra OMG IT’S ALL STARTING TO MAKE SENSE NOW
What’s his mum like, controlling, manipulative ….? LOL.
Hm, I don’t think so. She was pretty straightforward from memory. But this was adult life – maybe childhood different… Pi. X
I was kidding
I am new to astrogeekery and Pluto seems so Dramatic!
o no it’s cool, i could see the point. Moon-pluto is, like, intense emotions / outbursts and yes re the how we perceive one parent or another. I see Pluto as a cross between a nuclear reactor, a volcano or a free energy device (once one has wised up a bit)
Heh! I have Pluto livening me up next year. I shouldn’t be thinking dominatrix, but there you go…
I’m frightened: hold me!
Horror:
The Pissed off Plutonian Piscean
You will giggle, then you will drown; in a tsunami noone will hear you scream.
R18+
yes, you will be sleeping with the fishes.
Moon sometimes represents your mother. How do peeps feel about their Mum in Libra, or wherever. Saturn could have made a tough transit in this relationship.
tip from the depths of Saturn in Libby hell: relationships mean more than just lovers. think relationships with
-ourselves
-intimates
-workplace/community
-nation
-international
-nature/living enviro
-spirit
just think… Libby is masterful at achieving awesome in all these categories. werk it. and check out the book I bit all that ^^ from : The Power of Partnership by Riane Eisler
This works for me…Libra is intercepted in the 11th House in my chart and contains…Uranus.
2009 onwards is when this nasty undermining work-freeze-out bullying reared its very ugly head at, of all places, WORK, which i have always managed to do super duper well even if in the middle of my own private hell.
This placement trines (mutual recption) Venus in Aqua 3rd. Now Neptune’s off it and Saturn is off it, you should see the brilliant network being forged. I am loving the intellectual grace and emotional intelligence of the people around me at work right now, not to mention the go-getting energy (there’s a zoom of Aries around me at the mo). And the poison clique is rapidly well, to quote Mystic’s Taurus scopes “dinosauring out in the tar pit”. I am mostly interested in getting on with the awesome, it’s much more fun but the Scorpio part of me does like to turn its head at intervals and see how much further they’re leaving themselves behind.
Thank you for the Libran partnership reminders. They are very much up in my grill at the mo, in a good way.
Libran partnership can work wonders at work and for building relationship bridges
Depends on what day it is and what’s in aspect. Definitely my Pisces moon is really obvious a lot of the time. I’m very easy to cry in response to any of my MANY emotions (sooo Pisces) but there are many days when I’m very light and my head is a little quieter (that second part is definitely my Aquarius sun/rising). Or maybe it’s all just schizophrenia and there’s not an ounce of truth to this astrology stuff.
The slightly ex Lusty has leo sun aqua moon which you’d think was fairly balanced but nooo his kataka risig is very strong and he sooks like nobody I know .
Oh god I hate the sulking. It makes me want to slap people. Honestly. Like what is this, preschool? Ffs. Unless the sulker can say “don’t talk to me! I’m sulking.” And then laugh about it after a nice long walk to sort themselves out.
Cancerian sulking is really annoying the shit out of me for the last month or two. I have to keep reminding myself of the gorgeousness that is Kataka. The sulking is different from the emo – i don’t mind tears and emotional outbursts – i think people need to purge – but that attention grabby paws all over your space whiney i can’t do it all by myself bs is a huge turn off. Like, if you pick yourself up and stand beside me i’ll happily hold your hand and brighten your day but i’m not going to actually pick you up off the floor where you’re lumping out like a blob for no good reason.
I know an Aries Sun/Scorp Moon/Cap rising who is completely dominated by a particularly difficult Cancer South Node. It doesn’t seem possible, I know. Perplexing.
Virgo-Sun 11th
Gemmy-Moon 9th
Libra Rising 1st
I’d always ID’d so heavily w/my Virgoan edit-organize-analyze-agonize Sun that when the dysfunctionally harmonic energies of my rising/moon were brought to my attention I was shocked and honestly relieved. The haute and low add up and I think it balances for better or worse. I believe sun-moon-rising energy are inseparable and powerful even in their relative ‘absence’.
It’s easier to repress emotions/feelings (Moon) than one’s ego/actions (Sun).
I would not think of Libra as being THE sign of Polyamory. Maybe that’s because my double-Libra ex-girlfriend and I broke up within days after the moment I realized and communicated with her that it was something that resonated with me, even if I wasn’t so much wanting to label myself that way. Another double-libra girl-friend of mine IS very… poly-oriented, in a way. And the “day spa” comment is pretty right on about her. But SHE has sagg rising, and I think that’s where it comes from, at least equally so. Reason why? Polyamory involves unflinching honesty, and believe me I love Libra energy – it’s probably the sign I’ve worked best with in the past – but second to Pisces I’ve found Librans to be way too slippery to “do poly right.” From my experience yes, Libra would be great at “secretly poly” but that’s kind of an oxymoron, or it’s supposed to be.
Ya, um try a saggo sun, libra rising, gem moon guy. He thought it was his saggo sun, and yet libra the sign or partnership yet poly-amourus, lol. I didn’t like that combo, yuck what a paradox.
Whoah now!! This article really struck a chord with me in my current sexy-time dalliances with a sexed-up polyamorous Libran.
Am pleased to read you consider Librans to be THE sign of polyamory, MM. I’m a super-sex-charged polyamorous Saggo myself (with Scorp rising) who doesn’t stand much for commitment to one love for any period of time and am thanking the universe I have been gifted with the meeting of my Libran love-god of late. We are totes on the same page of the Kama Sutra, amongst every other possible alignment – honesty, trust, acceptance, communique, awareness, respect… etc etc
Also thanking the universe Saturn has finally fuqed-off out of lovely Libra and pushing into sexy Scorp. Oh yeah, feeling the love …
