Crowded House Syndrome

It’s been a while since we did a D.I.Y. Astro!

This is when you get to figure out the workings of your chart (that you can scare up pretty quickly off Astrodienst) and thus learn more about astro AND yourself in the process.

The Rules: No question is too dumb to ask – more seasoned peeps here love to help out the newbies – but please keep it in the spirit of growth, not hitting on other commenters for a free reading or similar.

SO there are 12 Houses in a chart, each pertaining to a different area of life. Some argue that this system is ancient and thus irrelevant, i personally find it still seems to be pertinent. There is a LOT about each individual house on the DIY Category Archives.

But what we are going to be talking about here is when you’ve got a house that is totally crowded – like three or more planets thronging in that sector. That is when you’re going to have way more of an emphasis in that area of life than you are in others. An empty house does not mean that never happens for you but the areas of focus will be your crowded houses for sure.

So what are yours?

Use the archives or search menu to quickly learn more about what each House means but in brief: 1st House = your image, your look, self-image in relationships, how others see you…2nd House = $$$ & self-esteem, resources, 3rd House = Communications, glibness, eloquence, desire to write, 4th House -= chez You + family of origin, 5th House = babies, art, light romances, 6th House = work & health, 7th House = marriage style relationships and biz partnerships, 8th House = Sex, Occult, like Scorpio, 9th House = Travel, Philosophy, Mind Expansion, 10th House = Public image, career, fame, 11th House = Groups, utopian visions, community You & 12th House = your subliminal mind, your psyche.

Mine are the 2nd & 8th, which used to really give me the shits when i was learning astrology and looking for something astrobatory to read about myself but now i’m kind of with it a bit more. I think.

And Yours?

  1. Love this!! I have always wondered.

Virgo (11 & little 12),: Sun, Pluto, Uranus, and Mercury
    Scorpio (1 & 2): Venus, Neptune, Mars

I copied and pasted your house descriptions. .

    Virgo:
11th House = Groups, utopian visions, community You
12th House = your subliminal mind, your psyche.

    Scorpio:
1st House = your image, your look, self-image in relationships, how others see you
    2nd House = $$$ & self-esteem, resources,

So, if Saturn is hitting Scorpio on October 5th then those house details are what will be amplified?

    Thanks Mystic!! xo!!

    • Yes, when Saturn does Scorp for the next couple of years you do 1st house Saturn transit, which is not a bad place for Saturn i.m.o (but the I have Saturn rising…).
Think: keeping up appearances (even with all that sobering Venus-Mars action), controlled elegance (even with the Neptune action) and sturdy self-mastering / wearing your wisdom.

    • Virgo Ellie
      We share similar placements.
I have Virgo overlapping the cusp of my 10th House and 11th. My 11th and 1st Houses are also loaded!

      Virgo/11th,: Mercury, Sun and Pluto
      Libra/11th: Uranus
Scorpio 1st : Jupiter, Venus, and Neptune

      • So I have emphasis on the following as well:

        Virgo:
11th House = Groups, utopian visions, community You

        Scorpio:
1st House = your image, your look, self-image in relationships, how others see you

    • Do you struggle with your individuality vs the conformity of the community?
I have ongoing issues with it. I don’t fit. But, I want to help with charity, and the local/global community sometimes I am not accepted at all, other times groups will allow me to be me and accept the differences.
I have to search for tribe.
      It’s not always easy.
Often I slink off to start my own project and end up leasing rather than following the group.
the lone exiled wolf that leads their own pack of misfits.
I am curious how it’s manifested in your life.

      • Hi ScorpioR… yes. I am a loner but have no problem with it. I don’t fit in because I get the feeling people just don’t understand it. I always say that society rules do not apply to me. I have always taken care of myself, actually since I was 12 since I was diagnosed with a life threatening disease, but I have enjoyed my life as is. I have a hard time getting into relationships but again I am fine with that. A little lonely when I have someone I am in love with, like right now, but I don’t know how to “play” the game to get him to commit. I can’t figure it out or maybe I honestly don’t want it. I have told myself that I would love to get married before I leave this earth but I am NOT going to waste my energy searching for it. If it happens, it happens, if not.. so be it.

I will pay attention to your discussions. I will something from you. Hopefully likewise you can learn something from me.

        Thanks for sharing! xo!!

        • i too am Saturn in the first house (Aq) and also ditto re fitting in.

Recently was directed by my psychologist to read the ugly duckling chapter in women who run with the wolves. I found it made such sense to me and was empowering too.

Saturn transit my natal first house (Gemini) – now THAT was a doozy of a transit but completely reset my life AND I lost 27kgs (had put on totes weight after father died).

        • Interesting, so the loaded 11th isn’t always a sign of social butterfly, as I initially thought. Although, if the planets are well aspected would come into play as well.
I enjoy spending time alone. I keep it balanced. I often get overwhelmed if I don’t have enough alone time to create, dabble, read etc…
I am excited to see what Saturn brings in Scorpio 1st House. I could use some structure and discipline in my Phoenixing stage.
Saturn in my 12th House has been a good lesson.
Look forward to more 11th/1st Saturn in 1st comparisons.

          • Me too!

            Libra/1st: Venus, Mars, Pluto stellium

            Virgo/11th: Sun, Saturn, Mercury

I’m a natural social butterfly and enjoy it for a time but often crave and insist on solitude for equally if not longer periods. I’m also more enterprising and avoid group projects preferring to lead on my own which I presumed had much to do with Uranus/Scorp/2nd house. It’s an odd tug in both directions, group v. solo but your take on 11th and 1st house placements, esp with Virgos is very interesting.

          • I am a Virgo and have Saturn in Cap in the 11th.
Groups disturb me to no end, and fitting in does not apply to me (except at work, how Virgo!!). At 52 I’ve nearly come to terms with it, thanks mostly to astrology. Maybe it’s the Virgo thing as much as Saturn in the 11th. Virgos are often misunderstood.

  2. Three planets in 3rd and three in 10th – have struggled career wise (writer/comms) for last 6 years tho, don’t know why!

    • Well the loaded 3rd explains why you’re a writer, but look to the aspects to the planets in 10th – they’ll be your key to the challenges. A full house means you get a lot of action in that life-sector but sadly it’s knot always easy action… :-(

    • I have a loaded 3rd and 10th as well.

3rd (Cap): uranus neptune saturn conjuct

      10th house: Sun(Virgo) Venus (Leo)

Sun trine Uranus/Neptune Sun semisquare Saturn
      Venus Quncunx Neptune

No idea what half of this stuff means. Basically I have a lot of lines (ha!) all converging in my third house Cap when you take into account the rest of my chart too.

Question (toomuchgoingon): Did you always want to be a writer/ in the communication field or did you just sort of fall into it because you have a nack for writing?

(Anyone) What does this tight relationship between my 3rd/10th (Leo/Virgo/Cap) imply careerwise? Is it just writing?

Or am I reading too much into it and the tight Cap conjunction is just my generational Astro tattoo (those born late 80/90s) and less individual.

Sorry for usurping your thread. I just get excited when people have similar chart aspects. ;)

  3. ok, 10th house Aries has the most, although they are a motley collection of little things – venus, chiron, part of fortune, south node, maybe an asteroid in there too – and they’re all conjunct.

I seem to have always been blessed with cool bosses and mentors in my professional realm. I am not famous, haha, but I wouldn’t mind being so, as long as it was in an esteemed and awesome way, rather than “infamous” :)

Pluto and NN opposing all of my 10th house action seems like a strange pull into obscurity, I can’t quite work out how the Pluto energy travels up the IC-MC line – if it acts like a free-energy device powering my entire chart/life, or if it is a black-hole style drain.

I had some excellent Pluto insights the other day, and 2nd house Saturn insights too, so maybe I can contemplate that a bit further…

    • ‘Anchoring’ is the term that comes up for me when I read this. Bringing all that very public artistic energy back down ‘into the bowels’ / the emotional reality of Pluto in the 4th (makes me think of a serpent/dragon coiled, energy ready to be harnessed) together with NN in Libra – still deeply artistic, but maybe in an even more authentic expression? (These are just my intuitive responses though, not mega thought-out analyses!!) I’d say a really fertile combination :)

    • Thank you Lotus flower (one of my favourite flowers!) and Juno
(such an interesting goddess!). I wasn’t expecting responses and these are helpful. Yes I am looking at ‘the ties that bind’ and how pluto is about ‘no going back’, the gateway and the implications for that ‘letting go’ right on my IC. Also the artistic implications of Libra. My home really is my creative castle… I feel that transcend the family connection , work it into something new and light, then it frees me further. Most recently, resisting unneccessary obligation (family conditioning) has been an interesting set of lessons.

      thanks again.

    • What cat says . . . seriously, David, how many countries have you lived in or traveled to? If it’s not travel, it’s got to be education . . how many degrees do you have

    • I bet you are awesome at those all night conversations. and/or you’re an academic of some sort. or working in imports / exports. and your bookshelf is full of (1) biographies of intrepid types (2) world politics (3) field manuals for things (plant identification, boat repairs, maps of Istanbul) etc

    • I have a packed ninth house too. Moon, saturn, juno, uranus in sagg and neptune in cap in there!
My 11th is also stacked – sun, merc, venus and jupiter all in aqua!

  4. I am a noob and welcome total dissection! My 11th house is packed, with chiron and venus in taurus, and in aries, sun (which is conjunct venus) also conjunct mars, mars conjunct mercury, mercury conjunct eris.
Is it weird that the 11th house is all about groups and community, and I am a total loner and usually prefer to be on the outside looking in, observing rather than participating.

Also moon, jupiter and saturn in tight conjunction 4th house libra. (moon opp merc)

    • Is the aries stuff incercepted? Might explain it, in the reverse though, inside looking out? If that makes any sense. Am quite a noob at this myself.

Also, the moon, saturn, jupiter conjunction, esp moon opp merc, brings to mind private communications, most comfy within family, who don’t mind yr quietness?? just random ideas :)

      • venus-sun-mars-merc all trine neptune and opposite pluto, with nep/pto sextile. see below for the rundown on my newly discovered epic fire grand trine. interpretations?

    • My most recent had a packed 11th house and he really didn’t strike me as the socialite, group merchant, indeed loner was how I experienced him. But maybe that was me– since I’ve left it’s been non stop comings and goings at chez-ex.

Maybe for you it’s a nodal thing that will hit your resonators (!) check which house and which sign your north node is in all axes are telling. Also throw in Juno, Vesta, Ceres, Pallas and any asteroids that take your fancy. Sappho (80) is a go-between kinda gal, I’d try her. Them a-steroids are real interestin’.

I’m a bit stuck on where your Sun is Aries or Taurus? Aries Sun conjunct Taurus Venus. Whoa . . . . Heh. Sounds like an interesting life. Sounds like a 12th house Sun. Throw in some asteroids for a more complete picture and an ahah moment. Psyche at (16) was mine.

The beauty of astrology is that it all moves and is malleable. Brain plasticity always was and always will be, but the idea of brain plasticity as opposed to the until recently held view that we are simply burning off irreplaceable neurones is really brilliant. We are a big chemical hormone factory run on emotional states. . . . basically.

You can work your chart — or not, but it does and will move you towards particular emotional states and external situations. This makes perfect sense for a system of transformative energy. . . . such as the kind we are currently experiencing.

Unpredictability seems to be the main thrust at the mo.

      • venus zero taurus, sun 27 aries, mars 24 merc 16 eris 14. All 11th house. my nn is at 7 leo… ground zero for that apocalyptic merc retrograde we just had… lol. and I just found out vesta in leo creates a grand trine between my venus-sun-mars and neptune conjunct the galactic center in saggo… yep, vesta the flame, solar flame, and galactic flame grand trine in fire signs.

      • “You can work your chart — or not, but it does and will move you towards particular emotional states and external situations. This makes perfect sense for a system of transformative energy. . . . such as the kind we are currently experiencing. ”

this is beautiful btw. I’ve been exploring my chart for a while now and it’s been a tool for healing and in a way, maturity. the best decision I ever made was to stop going to therapy and learn astrology instead. I have grown more in six months than I did in the last six years. But then again we can probably all say that right now. 2012. lol.

    • I find 11th house peeps, like Aquarians, can be total socialites or total socialists… It either manifests as a need for community around you, or intense quiet care for the community at large…

      • This very much.

Every sign is multifaceted, and with Aquarius, sometimes they are the ones who dislike community because of it’s flaws, yet they wouldn’t have negative feelings if there wasn’t something about it that they cared deeply enough to cause that dislike. However, the flaws in society make them not want to be a part of it.

Aqua is the opposite of Leo, yet both actually have a lot in common. They can both be noble, but while Leos appear kingly, the Aqua is the quiet ruler in the background (like Rasputin, an Aquarius).

    • I have a loaded 11th House also and I prefer to be alone, or lead.
I tend to be a 50/50 introvert/extrovert. i am an artist and musician so, spend lots of time working alone, but I do get restless and socialize in spurts.
I have Mercury, Sun, Pluto and Uranus in my 11th house.
it’s a mixed bag of nuts1 i like to be around eccentric types (Uranus) and prefer the company of offbeat artistic types who are also misfits, freethinkers and loners.
With my 11th House loaded i thought i should be great following a leader, working in large tight knit groups, but I don’t. I can do it for short periods of time for a charitable event.
I attempted to work in a non-profit art college in the admin.office environment. I believed in the cause but was surrounded by non-artistic, clique office/business social climber types. it was a nightmare.
I am curious how it manifests in your life? :)

      • I can identify with everything you are saying! I kind of can’t stand socializing but I like taking care of people and I’m good at being in charge lol. have been extremely unsuccessful at pursuing a career to this end though.

        • Maybe a conventional career. Have you tried working for yourself?
I’ve been most successful mixing self-employment (artist, musician) with small p/t work when sales are slow.

          • Lol I would love to work for myself but where to begin? Between my libra saturn return retrograding over my natal saturn/jup/moon and that july merc retrograde over my nn, my whole life is kind of stripped down to the skeleton. I feel incredibly empty, but in a light way, free not lacking.

    • I am going to write without thinking this through first so excuse my rambling train of thought way of going through it. Wondering about the loner thing. You are not the first loner I have come across with a big fat stellium in the 11th. Are any of them retrograde? I am thinking of Mercury as a possibility and I am also trying to picture where this Mercury is… if it is op moon, Jupiter and Saturn and they are in the fourth house, then it must be close to the cusp of the 11th. Maybe you try to come across as more the thinker than the feeler in groups, maybe you leave the real things you actually feel about these groups of people “at home”. The observer is often avoiding getting emotionally involved. Saturn is keeping you emotions and ability to expand and blossom ( Jupiter) in a safe box either in your past or where ever it is that you feel safe. Maybe going home and writing down your feelings about the groups of people in your life might help you see what is really going on in you and help you to see how you maybe could start communcating better. A diary.
Oh, and if ERIS is right there on the cusp too that could bring challenges!

I sometimes think that the planets are our teachers… the houses with planets are the places where we have stuff to learn. Seems a stellium like that would be like having a classroom of teachers all trying to ALL get their lessons across to you, in this case groups of people would be packed with these multifaceted lessons. Sounds less like you being unsocial and more like you getting overwhelmed. Hmmmm…….

      • very insightful about lessons thank you! my merc isn’t retro (at 16 aries, moon 9 libra) but I don’t know about the others… I have totally, all my life, dealt with my social frustration by checking out rather than actually problem solving. skipping school constantly, going from job to job..made for a totes ugly saturn return (saturn in libra) I’ve spent the past few years learning the hard way what I can realistically expect from and offer to relationships and society, and I’m starting over from ground zero. Nobody is looking forward to the Scorping more than me. Plus jup retro? I’m ready to build!

  5. welcome distraction thanking you!

It’s my 6th house – merc/mars/venus/chiron and sun – and the sun and chiron are intercepted – and I would have to say that life for me, peaks and troughs, manifests most visibly via the 6th house traits: my pets, my daily practices, health issues and it gets pretty wacky magic too. It’s where the action is …

Working out ‘work’ for me has been key – especially realising that I do best when I absolutely let go, try things out, reject, move on … keep up momentum. Otherwise, when I get bogged, I get really really really bogged and it takes months and months to extract myself.

  6. My 7th house is ruled by Libra: Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Pluto, Venus (in Scorp). (I have a Libra Sun in the 6th as well.)

And while my relationships haven’t always been roses and sunshine, I never seem to have trouble getting into one. Sometimes too many options, actually!

And I tend to view just about everything as a relationship, ie. viewing my career/job as something I’m married to or “involved” with.

  7. If we count only the standard stuff that astro.com pops up before adding things, it’s a tie between 11th with Chiron/Jupiter conj. and the 6th with Uranus, North Node in Scorpio and Neptune in Sag.

If I am allowed to add the main asteroids, PoF and Vertex … ah hell well, still the same houses :p Chiron and Jupiter get close company from Vesta, BML and Pallas and the Vertex squeezes itself between Uranus and NN.

So my destiny is to be of psychological/depths/transformative/philosophical health-service to martial action oriented groups?

  8. It’s all about the 2nd house here – Scorpio – loaded with Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter with Saturn in my 8th opposing them all and Neptune’s in there too 0 degrees sag (sans difficult Saturn opposition).

Self esteem issues I got over as a younger woman. Money ebbs and flows but my quality of life is outstanding (think living the dream).

Any comments re Saturn are welcome…

  9. 4th house – North Node, Mars and Jupiter conjunct in Virgo

5th house – Moon in Libra, Saturn in Virgo (wide conjunction), Pluto in Libra.

Not as packed: Mercury (Sag)/Uranus (Scorp) conjunction in the 6th, Sun/Neptune Sag conjunction in the 7th. Venus in Cap in the 8th. Gemini rising.

I feel like my chart is boring cause everything is in the bottom half. How am I going to become rich and fabulous with nothing up top? (joke)

  10. 1st House all the way! It’s like half my chart in there. Self-obsessed? Absolutely! But in a non-vain, observational and disciplined Virgo kinda way…

  11. thank you so much for posting this. i have always wondered if this was weird.

most of my planets are all clumped up on one side of my chart. 12 / 1 / 2 / 3 – Virg / Libra / Scorp / Sag, with the biggest clump centered in the second house in scorp, and then only a few degrees on either side into libra and sag. Only my true node, jupiter, chiron and saturn pop on the “other side.”

is there a particular significance to being all bunched up in one area like that?

    • Bunching up happens to the best of us dear :-)
But I do think a bunch up in that corner of the chart creates very defined, quite singular personalities. People who seem to really know who they are. Also people that others really look upon for guidance.

  12. 3 planets in Cancer in the 9th house – Sun, Saturn, Mercury. Midheaven is also Cancer. South Node is Gemini 9th. All of my jobs have been in bookshops, publishing, libraries, museums, universities. I can’t imagine working somewhere that isn’t full of books. Travel is rewarding, but it’s hard to prise myself away from home (also full of books)

  13. Tricky! Evenly placed 2 per house.
But 2nd House has Sun & Mercury. As I am Leo Mercury Rising that would stand out to me.

    1st House Venus & Saturn.
6th House has Neptune & Moon (which along with my 9th House Jupiter forms a grand trine with Mercury).
    4th House Pluto & Uranus.

Do we look at outer versus inner planets for weighting when they are evenly placed?

    • I’ve always thought inner versus outter was more important, so to speak, since the outter tend to be more generational and the inner more personal/ individual.

I could be completely wrong but that’s how I’ve always understood it.

Am jealous of your even-ness. I always thought it’d be cool to have a chart like that. I’m obsessed with symmetry :-)

      • As a person who likes extremes I am fascinated by people with multiple conjuncts going on! I do get a nice trine or two out of the even placements though.

I always think of the outer planets as having this amazing pull, the further out they are the more impact, while the inner planets scurry about.
        But you are probably right!

  14. Sun, Mercury, Uranus in the 8th + all in Scorpio.

Moon, Mars, Neptune in the 9th + all in Sag.

Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto in the 7th + all in Libra.

So everything is in it’s rightful house, I guess doubling up the effect because I sure as hell feel that concentrated energy, especially the 7th house stuff. It’s actually pretty exhausting, it feels like my life lessons are entirely relationship centric, it’s endless, endless, good, bad, love, enemies. I fantasise about how nice it would have been not to be so intense and for human beings not to have such a massive effect on me constantly!

  15. I have five plants in Libra in the 9th: Pluto conjunct Venus (eek), conjunct Sun, that then conjuncts Mars which sits with Uranus further back in Libra. (Imagine the Saturnalian circus that has been criss-crossing this the past 3 years)

The Zap Zone last week did a clever little hit of Pluto & Uranus EXACTLY squaring & opposing my natal Pluto at 7 degrees Libra (9th). Dang.

I didn’t think I was noticing this as surely by now I am merde immune. But on the day a total restlessness hit and thanks to MM’s heads-up I channeled this into frantic, focussed biz generation activity. With Pluto currently in my 1st and Uranus in my 3rd, I noticed this as a) a bit of uncatalogued spending on making-over my look as I am suddenly much more visible / in the public eye (with Saturn still in Libra this was obvs on quality and v.versatile gear, oops pricey! but value for money) and b) emailed/phoned galleries & venues on ZZ day and the next day reaped in THREE exhibition bookings in the following day. Unheard of!!

MM at this rate I think your advice is earning me money!!! :) Thank you xxxx

  16. Moon/libra/9th
    Venus/libra/9th
    Pluto/libra/9th
    Mars/libra/9th

So, lots of libra in 9th… Not sure how to apply the planets here too… But if 9th house is all travel, philosophy, mind expansion, then I’m dong that like a libran? I’ve no idea if that’s the right way to interpret this?
    I’m a Virgo…so, yeah, not really sure there…

    There’s also some:
    Mercury/Leo/7th
    Saturn/Virgo/7th

But then mystic mentioned 2nd and 8th houses… So I looked at those…

    Sun/Virgo/8th
    North node/Virgo/8th…

So, I’m no just googling my Virgo butt off trying to figure out if this means anything…I’m so attached to my Virgo identity…don’t tell me I’m really my mother and weird brother (librans)!!!!!

    ;)

  17. I have always wondered about the significance of my jam packed 6th house. I’m a sun in scorp, moon and Asc in Gemini. My 6th house is Scorpio and contains my sun, Mercury, Neptune, and true node. My Libra 5th house contains a Pluto-Venus conjunction as well as Uranus. I’m half decent at astro in general, but my own chart kinda alludes me…any thoughts?

  18. I think I’m quite jealous of all the people with lots of stuff in the early houses…what’s it like over there?

I’ve got sun/mercury/neptune in my 10th/sagg and mars, venus/uranus in my 9th/scorp… So yes to work being important and yes to status / credibility at work also being important and also yes to quitting non-fulfilling jobs. Yes also to ideas, history, travel and endless playful arguments and discussions about all of the above.

I think it’s all a bit overbalanced towards global social political historical contextual interest and perhaps a bit lacking in actual personal empathy.

  19. I have Sun (Aries), Mercury & Mars (both Pisces) all in House 1.

I have Saturn and my ‘True node’ both in Virgo in House 6.

No 3, 7 or 11 at all. Funny about there being no 3, since I have a to write a lot in what I do!

Any interpretive points on my crowded House 1 would be gratefully received by this complete novice!

    • Well Mercury is communication and it’s in your first house, so being a communicator is what people would notice about you. Having Sun and Mars in as well would just amp it amazingly.

  20. No clumping, 1 planet in each house if you include Chiron in my eighth, aqua and moon in the 12th gem. Not sure if that has any meaning in particular.

  21. Well I have three planets in my first house, sort of. But I have juno and lilith conj Asc conj mercury and venus (w/n 2deg!) then sun at cusp of 2nd. If I’ve got my birth time 10 minutes out, then maybe Pallas is on my Asc which would fit as I channel my Dad’s fashion sense (KT26′ers to the grave), maybe that’s not flattering to Pallas :)

  22. My little stellium falls in the 2nd house in Gemini- sun, merc, Venus, Saturn. All opposite Neptune. But forming a grand trine with moon/Jupiter aquarius in 10th and Uranus libra in 6th. Pretty much all air 2,6,10. All the potential and lacking the fire to drive it forth into action and some earth to ground it!!!

  23. 1st house: Mercury, Sun, Venus (all in Cancer)

5th house: Pluto (libra), Saturn (Scorpio)

6th house: Mars (Scorpio), Uranus (Sagittarius)

7th house: Jupiter (Capricorn), Neptune (Sagittarius)

Can anyone tell me about my 1st house, that’s the one I consider crowded and for kicks something about my dreaded 5th?

  24. Dear Mystic, can you quickly enlighten the amateur which house-system you use or adhere to? Astrodienst offers a range of methods (Placidus etc.) and I have no idea which is the most common or the most suitable…

    • PS: In Placidus how does one count the house number? I.e. if I’m born with Sun in Scorpio, then Scorpio is my first house, even though the first house reaches to mid-Sagg? I’m obviously a bit of a novice…

    • Placidus is the most common I think. Are you Scorp sun and Scorp rising? Doesn’t matter how far a house extends it is ruled by the sign on the cusp. In your case Scorp I assume. If you had planets in Sagg still in the first house they bring a different flavour to your first house stuff. But Scorp still rules the roost as it were.

      • i’m a whole house fan. Most charts just make more sense to me in that system- it seems more eloquent. To each their own, I suppose.

  25. This will come as no surprise considering how much I go on about love/lack of/non-committal partners/etc…

Sun, Venus and Mercury all in a Cancer 7th house…… (in opposition to Neptune in the first house *cue eye roll*)

    • Yay! That’s me except I’m In the first not seventh and I don’t think my Neptune is quite opposing.

      Venus in seventh sounds cool.

        • Not so much exalted but Venus is the natural ruler of Libra so it’s very happy/ natural there. I think Saturn is actually exalted in Libra despite it’s ruler being Cap.

So perhaps the last/current Saturn transit was amaze for your relationships/partnerships.

          Exaltations are weird :-)

  26. Sun-Merc-Venus Rising…? Hot! Dripping in charisma? turning heads to the point of public hazard? You can work that in your favour for sure…
Meanwhile, nothing dreaded about that fifth house at all. Pluto and Saturn together in there make for resonant, lasting, considered creative output – whether that’s art, babies, or just amazing family dinners…

  27. Heavyhitter emotional planets in 12th. I have hidden myself a lot in life but it doesn’t work, i seem to shine out (the planets in12 also conjunct Ascendent, with Antares rising exact) and i think i get a lot of looks. What is hidden is the strange and crazy stuff i experienced from young, and i keep a lot of others’ secrets. I see and hear and smell energies, electricities and thinking-feeling vibes and time is not linear, so what i sense may not be ‘today’ stuff. I keep that hidden. I don’t meet people’s eyes much but when i do i dive in. I’ve felt their whole frequency before then anyway. I have always feared that this means i’m actually mad, crazy as a teapot in a coconut aloft a mad hatter’s top hat. I adore the theatre, live performance dance and music. I breathe huge breaths in there. I also like being out at sea with the wind in my face.

Venus, NN and heaps of asteroids like Magdalena, Aphrodite, Sekhmet, Isis, Lameia, Circe, Diana all in Aquarius. Mainly 3rd House, though a bit of creep over edges of second and fourth. All about words, communication and used to write from very young, with national prizes. I am named after an ancient goddess of Word. …Yet feel ineloquent lately and as if i can’t write or speak properly. Was known as a mimic, singer and garrulous as hell, in var. languages.

  28. In my third I have Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Ceres and Juno in Scorpio :D

    I am a chatty and vengeful Harvest/Hearth Goddess :D :D

I have Pluto, Uranus and Pallas in Libra in my Second ie: Money is batshit, irrational, underwordly and warlike for me :p

I have my Sun, Neptune and Lillith in my 4th in Saggitarius. Bouncy, nebulous and succubic. Hmmm… Family of origin ?! House ? Can’t make this one out.

My Ascendant (Virgo) squares my Neptune, Mercury and Sun *sigh*

SO : Communicate with intensity !! Fight the Dark Fight with Money !! Do NO housework !! Use too many exclamation marks !! Put poetry on my pots !!

Mystic once told me that if I didn’t have Virgo rising, I’d be mad – too much fire and water in my chart. I agree. I DO come across as very passionate. And chatty. I talk openly about the Occult, too (pour encourager les autres)…

I’ve already been through my Sex n’Death Phase and am now interested in Buddhism and Art…. Although I have a *fabulous* collection of Erotica to show for it – I used to work in a Secondhand bookshop…. 50 Shades of Grey pffft. Give me 120 Days of Sodom any day :D

  29. Everything is in houses 9-12. and i’m pretty cliche. I love the watery psychic worlds and really struggle with all the normal “worldly” things most people seem to manage. Anyone else?

      • I feel you. me: 12th house moon, conj neptune and asc in scorpio. all conj jupiter in sag/1st. If you can picture that..be lot easier to post visual

        • ooh, i can totally picture that. And sag jupiter rising sounds mega cool and adventurous. glad it’s not just me scorping (venus, mercury, uranus) with neptune ascendent. Guess that means its not ALL 9-12! Mostly love it but sometimes I wish I had something going on in the 7th house. (or maybe 2,3,4,5,6,or 8) Still, its fun freaking out those who are totally earthy.
Sample conversation: friend: “Um, do the lights often flicker on and off like that when you enter the room?” Me: uh, yes.

  30. 10th house Sun, Mercury, Venus.

I do have secret rock star fantasies. Not sure I’d want to be one, but would be happy to be kept by one. I even have the appropriate coat all ready to go.

Whilst I wait I guess I’ll just get back to work.

  31. 5th – sun, mercury and chiron. Art and light romance sounds about right…Although if two planets count then that is followed equally by the 12th, 4th and 9th, all of which have two.

  32. 1st house in Leo (late degrees) Jupiter, Mercury
1st house in the early degrees of Virgo, Sun, Venus, NN,
4th house in Scorpio, Uranus, Moon, Neptune

Basically my first house is crowded with 6 planets, but in 2 signs, so different between them, but i dont think that i am so “me” orientated…
    Mostly i feel like a Pisces :)

    ps. excuse my bad english

  33. I have my Sun, Venus and Mercury all in the 7th house… all in Sagittarius…
So this means I am like…. destined to have like 23432 romantic partners?
Lol thats what a psychic said to me once.
Anyone with any insight would be much appreciated.
    - I am Sun Sag/Gem rising and pisces moon also

    • Always thought Sag in 7th dealt with foreigners/ things different from you, so I would guess partners that are from foreign places or from a different mindset than you

        • a-ha i was looking for some one else with a loaded sagitarrian 7th house (sun, jupiter, mercury, neptune, pan) to get some tips from. it kind of seems like a contradiction in terms (marriage(7th house)+freedom seeking sag), but yes the partners from far away places is resonant-my only “legal” marriage was to a business partner from far away. All the other “illegals” were from other continents too…(reminices fondly…)

    • I’m a Sun Sag/Gem Rising too (but Sag moon).

This placement doesn’t mean a ridiculous amount of partners. lol It does mean that you emphasize the partners in your life whether in love, friendship, or business. Most likely, because of the dual sign on the 7th cusp, you’ll have two or more marriages (and let’s face it, as a Sag/Gem, the more the merrier!) and most likely with ppl who are differnent from you in some significant way–culture, background, whatnot. You’ll also attract luck through your partnerships. Lucky you! :)

  34. How about this crazy ‘
    North Node 4th House Scorpio
    Uranus in 4th House/Scorpio
Sun Sign Scorpio/4th House/5th house right on the cusp along with Mercury
Mars Venus and Neptune all in the 5th house
Maybe the reason I have so many kids is the 5th house.lol
I do spend a ridiculous amount of time introspecting myself.

  35. My 10th is packed – Merc, Uranus, Pluto, Moon, Jupiter. All in either Libra or Virgo.
Sun & Merc in my 9th.

No fame/notoriety/infamy, just hard work and low income. Lots of ideas, but difficulties getting them implemented. I’ve been well-respected when I’ve had fulltime work, with help from older women mentors every time.

    • I should clarify – I work hard, but have no employment income. I’m with the kids all day, as we homeschool. The growing season is just about over here, and I gardened and canned copious amounts of food (still am preserving, actually). So I am very productive, just not for money. Some money would be nice…

      • The hardest most earnest work isn’t often respected or adequately compensated in society. I consider your work authentic and real, unlike Wall Street or CEO types who profit from others loss. (Bain Capitol and Romney)
When or if the world crumbles you have educated the next generation, and know how to bring sustenance to your family and others.
        xoxo

        • Thank you for your supportive words, scorpiorising. I totally get what you are saying, and my Leo sun helps me feel very confident about my work. the basic tools of living are important skills, and I’m learning them as I teach what I know, as well. I know it’s useful and essential right now. That said, however, it’s sometimes hard to accept homecare, food raising and parenting as my career choice, when I’ve had fulltime jobs that took less time and paid much more. And money is a useful tool. But we’ve gotten really good at making do, and have raised kids who don’t feel like they need lots of new things. It’s a step in the right direction and I’m proud to be part of it.

          • One of the typical images of Virgo is with the sheaf of grain, she is connected to gathering in and ordering and sorting. Maybe what you are doing now is gathering for being a future authority on what your are learning now. With Sun and Mercury in the ninth you could end up writing helpful books for parents or home schoolers or… maybe this is just the foundation work and the actual hearts theme will grow organicly ( ! ) out of it. The kids won’t be kids for ever. Virgo likes to moan and sigh a bit to get the recognition due her, in your case for 10th house stuff but that may also make you a perfect agony aunt, helper person, maybe online, for other people in need of a pat on the back themselves and maybe some helpful tips.

            • Yes, I’m all for things growing organically out of other things! Just have to get through the whine and sigh first… I do like to be helpful, and to feel useful. Lots of good ideas fermenting now, deirdre. Thank you.

            • There most likely will be writing in my future, as I occasionally blog and have made zines in the past – I prefer hard copy, but that appears to be increasingly obsolete. Selling any kind of book seems so large and far away when I can’t even get it together to write regularly. I love the gathering in and sorting analogy deirdre made. It’s helping me cultivate patience.

  36. mercury, venus, neptune, lilith in sagittarius all conjunct in 11th house. not socialite, no social life, not too many friends and not easy to make friends too. sun in 12th house cap at 0 deg. north node and jupiter conjunct in 12th house too. feels lucky in hair raising scenarios other than that felt always being stepped over, not important, INVISIBLE! mars in scorpio in my libran 10th house. felt like crap since 2009. office politics and gossip behind your back. scared of coming saturn in scorpio. feels so tired with all the crap and always being on alert of what harm might come to me from other jealous people. when would this all stop?! til 2024? oh God!

  37. Four planets in Scorp in 10th — Sun, Mercury, Venus and Neptune. (And if that wasn’t enough, I have Moon and Ascendant in Capricorn.) But I’m not complaining. I love what I do — even if it did take take me over 20 years to figure it out — and am really happiest when I’m working — and the more challenging the assignment, the better :)

  38. Woo-hoo! I have been dying to ask about my Uranus (conjunct) Saturn (sag) and lonely Neptune (cap) in the 7th house. I guess I am going to be delusional about marriage, want freedom and security and ultimately suffer :D

    • I am fascinated by generation conjunct types. That is really interesting combo for cap as well, 7th house with that lot would make you an amazing professional diplomat no? thought about joining the U.N? wonder how it will transpire for you post saturn returns. I had some squares that where dead tricky pre 30, post 30 they mature into knowledge and less “lessony”

      • Wow! I was thinking how I would love to take the chance and work for UN, UNESCO or the Red Cross! And travelling/meeting cultures is something I love. Aaaand I am in a process of applying for MA in International relations :D My North node is in the 11th and I hope it will help me.
And thank you for the comfort on my difficult 7th house. I am trying to get a lesson out of everything fate serves on my plate so your insight is greatly appreciated :)
(I don’t know why the first comment got posted as anonymous)

  39. 7 in the 12th- moon, chiron, mars, venus, merc, lilith, jupiter. also sedna, pan, i forget who else. life is an endless series of opportunities for searing psychological insight! if not into myself (which it usually is, with my sun 2 degrees into the first i am driven to make the unconscious conscious) i’m doing the gemini thing of analyzing everyone else. seeing a little too clearly- does not make me especially popular. :) still trying to figure out what the hell i did in past lives to bring about this astro!

  40. 8th – Sun, Mercury, Pluto and Uranus all in Virgo
7th – Venus in Virgo, Mars, Jupiter and Moon in Cancer
2nd – Saturn, Chiron and Lilith in Pices
    10th – Neptune in Scorpio

I do tend to let things die a natural death..for example I do not put my pets to sleep, but I have taken care of them through their deaths. Being with someone when they pass away does not upset me, I am curious about it. But I don’t like killing or violence.

      • Thanks, I looked up a little, and that seems to be include reducing pollution…I work in that area, and have wondered why not something with the water b/c of the Neptune.
And mistake in my first post, Mars in the 7th in Leo (not in Cancer). I am a love zombie for a much younger Mars in Virgo, Venus in Leo guy (electricity!)…my Venus is very close to 8th house, and when I bought an Astrodienst report, they interpreted it in the 8th. Someday I hope to find someone actually available with that matching combo..

        • reducing pollution is brilliant. EH. don’t be a love zombie. We are really in need of reduction of pollution. Never astro plan either imo. we are not expert enough to know everything and you are just craving what feels like love right now. Words on paper don;t mean a thing, someone has to live it out to be real. Don’t wallow, just get fabulous. I took a real hit this week and i’m already all over the nip this in the bud shit. Best of luck xx

    • Hi Anon and Ms, – I have some similarities to Anon:

8th house = Mercury, Uranus, Pluto (all right next to one another ) in Virgo, plus Venus in Leo

7th house = Mars in Leo

2nd house = Saturn, Moon in Aquarius
      Chiron in Pisces

My Lillith sits nearly on top of my ascendant – very interesting…

I haven’t really been attracted to reducing pollution (I don’t encourage it, of course) but I am a clutter-clearing beast.

I’m enjoying hearing your thoughts on some of these aspects and hope you two don’t mind if I piggy-back on your conversation! :)

  41. My chart is neatly sectioned into (mainly) 3 only just crowded houses. Only the 5th is multiple conjunct the rest are partially conjunct. Still very distinct though in 3rd in virgo, 5th in scorpio, 6th in saggitarius.

    • astrological permission to be wild random and eccentric in scorpio, cue affairs and wardrobe > sun, merc, uranus
      mentally intense (or just mental?)
my idea of a day job is moon, venusneptune in sagg,
This is a bit emo for my liking.
Oversensitive. emotional freedom times a million,

  42. I have a question that is related to this and that I’ve been dying to ask someone for a very long time. I know it’s slightly off the actual focus but just remembered and seems as good a time as any to get some answers. In my birth chart the houses do not line up with the signs they ‘traditionally’ should. For example, I’m an Aquarius and my Sun is in my 12th house. All the houses in my chart start in the middle of each sign and when I read horoscopes written for everyone and they say things like ‘Neptune has just moved into your second house’, often it’s still in my first house and I have to watch my chart and see when it actually crosses the line into my natal second house. What I’m trying to figure out how to ask (this is getting so complicated!) is when I read a month ahead forecast in May and it says Venus is moving through my 5th house/Gemini. If it technically hasn’t moved into my natal 5th house am I still experiencing it in my 5th house as that’s where it is for ‘everyone’ at the moment? I figure there must be something to it as if that were not the case, who would bother writing month-ahead’s, right?

    • On fact, I just double checked my chart, the entirety of Pisces is inside my 1st house which means that all this ‘Pisces/Chiron are finally out of Aquarius and into your 2nd house’ perhaps doesn’t apply to me at all…. Sorry to keep going further off the actual topic. This one doesn’t much apply to me as all my planets are scattered around and I don’t have more than two in any one house.

      • Same with me, in fact I’ve only seen one chart where the houses aligned with the appropos signs.

This Saturn in Libra nonsense, as an Aries, affected my relationship lessons etc. But Libra is in my 4th house of, well, home. So I ended up getting both, in a way: I moved in with him basically immediately, just kind of happened. Then while I was learning my relationship lessons I moved back home, then I moved into another apartment as the house was going to go… And now with Uranus in my 10th conjunct everything personal essentially I’m looking at moving house AGAIN just overseas for a job. So I got both, and I’ve learned SO much about making a home, starting a home, and relationships.

        Hope this helped :)

          • Interesting that you experienced both the general placement as well as the personal placement. I do recall times when I’ve experienced the general placement as well which is, I think, what’s been throwing me. But I notice that the personal placement is usually in much stronger effect. For example: for the last year I’ve been hearing that Jupiter is in the 4th and affecting my home but saw no proof of this really. It’s NOW in my 4th and my apartment building was in foreclosure (briefly, somewhat remedied) and the negligent slumlord has suddenly been doing all the work that’s been needing to be done for years in order to sell it. Total facelift -seems a hell of a lot more like Jupiter. Hopefully if I’m forced to move it happens while Jupiter is still in my 4th as I know it bodes well for future home prospects. :)

            • Lucky! Jupiter is touching on my Jupiter/Mars in 12th Gemini, so I think whatever lucky goodness or etc happens to me will be completely behind-scenes and out of my sphere. Just literally spring up one day, like “hey, how about that coffee” from an ex, or “hey, how about that job” from an agency, or “hey, how about that coffee” from a new interest. already heard from an old flash in the pan at random over a week ago, whose venus is conjunct the current in leo. So… bam?

    • I have this in my chart– 2 signs in one house. One sign may dominate or stay in the house longer.

So my fifth is Libra and Scorpio but predominantly Scorpio (stays longer) I read both Libra and Scorpio but put more emphasis on scorp because it is in the house longer and is stronger in placement with it planet aspect than Libra is with its planet aspect.

For transits, I don’t count it in until it actually affects me/ my house or sign in my natal. I don’t worry about where it should be for “everyone” if it doesn’t correlate with my chart.

Not to mention, it’s very hard to pin down exacts. Sometimes I feel the effects of things a week prior or after everyone else was supposed to. Find your personal pattern and maybe that might give better insight.

Not sure if that’s right or makes sense!

      • Good point, I’ve also noticed that I experience ‘predicted’ effects sooner or later than the time their supposed to be in aspect -I always just flattered myself that I was sensitive and also know that often aspects have a range of time in which they can be experienced prior to and following their exact time.
Either way, I think I’ve figured it out and am good enough these days at reading my own chart these days.
Thanks for sharing your insights. :)

  43. My most crowded house is the 2nd (Scorpio) with Pluto, Saturn, and Mars… all other planets are spread across the 3rd-6th houses.

I don’t feel I’ve been finance-obsessed in any way, just kind of plodding along and making sure I don’t spend more than I bring in. I can live pretty frugally if needed but don’t feel it defines me. The thing about “self-worth” might be more relevant, though. Definitely have had self-esteem issues my whole life.

Perhaps taking a more earthy Taurus attitude is the key to getting out of that emotional muck? My fiance has his moon there and is a regular source of “stop doubting yourself!” encouragement.

    • I have mars/nn in the 2nd and it’s pretty massive one for values for me. value = wealth, it’s the underlying meaning of the house, understanding value. Sometimes that transpires as money.

  44. In the ninth house, I have pysche conj south node exact 14 degrees Leo. then in virgo at the end of the house I’ve Juno,0, Merc 1, venus and sun at 3 degrees and eros at 5 degrees exact at midheaven. Usually interpreters read juno thru eros in the tenth house, tho visually it starts after eros. what do u think?

  45. Maybe someone can offer a morsel of insight about this. I have Neptune/Mars/Jupiter conj in Sagg-ruled 11th (Neptune 29 Sagg, the other 2 in early degrees Cap).

    All sextile Pluto.

  46. Uranus & Moon (conjunct Saturn (in Scorpio) at the very very end of 2nd house) in the 3rd house in Sagittarius, Mercury and Venus conjunct Mars in the 7th house in Aries…

3rd House = Communications, glibness, eloquence, desire to write
Moon = creativity, right? always been very into the creative communications stuff, poetry/writing/etc… Saturn maybe means very proper/formal about it? Not sure about Uranus.

7th House = marriage style relationships and biz partnerships
Venus conjunct Mars = very forward & bold romantically probably, which isn’t really me at all I don’t think… Mercury in Aries I bet makes me confrontational about communication, which can be true (I love to debate) but Libra Rising makes me conflict-avoidant…

This is all like a puzzle…

    • I would surmise moon&saturn in creative 3rd would suggest an experimental flow in creative pursuits with an attention to form. i.e., the young adult’s book “crank,” “glass,” and everything else by the author.

  47. Ramzilla Sun/Moon/Venus/Merc/transiting Uranus = 10th house
Gemini Mars/Jupiter/Rising (which I feel ties a liiiittle bit in there, but I’m being technical) = 12th house
    Sea-Goat Saturn/Neptune/Uranus+transiting Pluto = 7th house
Scorpio Pluto + transiting Saturn = 5th house

Totally a sucker for a well-connected math nerd with a foreign accent. Granted, because of my age (23) I’m seen as that “cute” fuq.

Am I doomed to wander alone? Seriously. It’s like my entire chart is dedicated to work/relationship balance, and with Uranus in Capricorn it’s like I’m destined to only attract older, well-connected math nerds who get to feel better about themselves for flirting/sleeping with someone 15+ years younger than them. And the guys who are younger and a dateable age all seem to think I can’t do better than them and treat me like shit, whereas the older gents who don’t want to stay with someone so young treat me like gold. And if Pluto is getting tapped by Saturn, seriously? Saturn in Libra dragged me through relationship hell. How am I going to survive Saturn in Scorpio, too? Especially with Uranus conjunct Moon/Venus/Merc right now and 1 deg from conj Sun? Again, holy crap.

  48. Would love an interp of this (not mine – guy I know) – 7th house (aries) – Sun 8 degrees, moon 12 degrees, Saturn 14 degrees, north node 15 degrees, mars 1 degree taurus.

Also “supported” by sixth house Mercury 15 degrees, Venus 16 degrees, chiron 29 degrees (all Pisces) and 12th house (Leo/Virgo) – Jupiter 26 Leo, Pluto 21 Virgo, Uranus 26 Virgo.

    • Heavy Aries in the seventh. Could be wrong but seems like they could be intense and fleeting in relationships. I get that from moon in Aries in 7th. They start relationships easily but don’t necessarily put in the work to maintain–cardinal trait. Loses interest quickly.

Saturn in Aries in 7th, not sure about that but from the little I know about Saturn that doesn’t seem very promising either.

      • Saturn in Aries in 7th here at 7 degrees…Its tough with saturn if poorly aspected, as I have it square moon (hence my parents divorce) however we all have an opportunity to re-write the script & change…

Have same partner since 1996…We both have similar 1st house, pluto in virgo + and strong capricorn, libra, pisces…We have had our crap but who hasn’t in a 16 years relationship?

Even though saturn in aries can be inflexible and harsh it can be balanced. I have good aspects with water & earth and really what this saturn karma for me is issues with authority (uranus + pluto 1st conjunct & opp mars) adversarial conditions. It can also mean to be able to weather the storm, give you drive to realise ambitions.

Saturn can give you steel like determination in to keep it working…I mostly ended things quickly and cleanly and there has always been honesty on my part to keep things level & people responsible including myself.

We have a young child (uranus in aries is transiting my husband & my 7th) but change is challenging us in a healthy way…As my mother always said “Its only change” (Aqa asc)

  49. two crowded houses: focus on the 10th with lilith, moon, chiron, sun, mercury. then there’s the 4th with juno, saturn, uranus, neptune. “fame” vs. “home”, career vs. family. don’t really think I’m allowed to have both

  50. my crowed house is my fourth – Jupiter 12, Mars 20 , Mercury 21 (all Taurus) and Sun at 13 Gem (close to border with 5th house where north node at 2 degrees cancer and venus at 6 degrees cancer).

  51. Thanks for the DIY post MM.

5th house most crowded for me: Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn –
babies, art and light romance. No babies yet thank Goddess.

Next ranking houses are 8th and 10th – with sun and venus in the 8th (toro) and mars and jupiter in the 10th (Gemini).

With my tenth house as Gemini I’m hoping this may bode well for a career in writing/comms but maybe the placement will makes me too scattered. Or maybe I will be too busy with babies, art and light romance.

  52. Okay not sure if I’m getting this right but:

Moon, Mars, Saturn & Pluto all in Libra in the 10th House?

Going on: 10th House = Public image, career, fame – what does this mean?

  53. venus in libra + pluto in scorpio +south node in libra on the second hose. 2nd House = $$$ & self-esteem, resources.

sun in virgo + mercury in leo on the twelve house

  54. I have moon, mercury, venus and south node in 9th house Sag. Life is a never ending quest for me. I always wondered about the south node though. I am supposed to go in the direction of the north node in Gemini but I have so much 9th houseness going on in me. Anybody else have a similar issue in terms of having a packed house with a south node?

    • This is similar to my 3 planets and south node in the 9th, but my situation is a bit different, with the planets in Cancer and node in Gemini, so the nodes and their houses are “reversed” and north node is Sagg 3rd house. Confusing. As I understand it though, you’re not meant to completely reject your south node, just use it as a foundation to build on – it’s where you’re already comfortable, whereas the north node is about moving out of your comfort zone and incorporating more 3rd house things into your life to balance out the 9th house emphasis. Something I’m trying to work on!

  55. Great thread. I have:

-2nd house Libra: Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Lilith, Juno
-4th house Sagittarius: Sun, Moon, Neptune.

My Mercury is confusing, chart says its in third house ruled by scorp but in Sagg as a sign? Not sure how that works…

But if in 3rd house Scorpio: Mercury, Venus, Uranus.

    • Scorpio might be intercepted. Do you have Scorp in a house anywhere in your chart or do you seem to have sag in in two houses side by side?

          • It means Scorpio is intercepted lol, that’s why it doesn’t show on your chart. That’s why you have duplicated
Signs. Intercepted signs are sometimes dubbed “hidden powers”. The whole thing is much too complicated for me to explain but do a Google search and you’ll get more info.

It’s not a bad or negative thing. Rather cool.

  56. Is there a 2nd house == 8th house pattern here? I have:

8th house = Mercury, Uranus, Pluto (all right next to one another ) in Virgo, plus Venus in Leo

2nd house = Saturn, Moon in Aquarius
    Chiron in Pisces

  57. Sun, mercury & Venus in the 7th house Aqua, Saturn, Chiron & Lilith 8th. Yes big on all kinds of relationships, like to nurture those closest to me especially family, yet can give space for them to grow. I see sex as healing at times but a whole lot of fun and my body not to be given away to anyone….

  58. 4th house saturn, chiron, sun, mercury, mars ~ also pisces moon
and a dream last night of a baby daughter ( now grown ) and another baby girl in my arms…holding baby girls…

never posted before, tho i read these often…this 4th house stellium seems important but feels like a blindspot in everyday life..

    thoughts?

  59. yes, don’t know what I’m doing here, but keen to!

So, sun sign is scorp and AstroD says my ascendant is Taurus – is this because the moon is there? lol. Also Saturn is in Taurus…i guess that’s significant!

And if Saturn is hitting Scorp should I be looking at what’s in Scorp? 6th & 7th houses & Neptune.

    5th & 6th houses are crowded…
    5th: Pluto, Uranus, Venus
    6th: Jupiter, Mercury, Sun

I don’t know, this stuff is complicated and you guys are awesome :)

    • I am with ya kazattack thinking this is a little complicated but hopefully others will help you. But let me try.

In regard Saturn transiting Scorpio, yes, look at which house(s) Scorpio relates to. If you don’t have the description of the houses here they are:

1st House = your image, your look, self-image in relationships, how others see you
      2nd House = $$$ & self-esteem, resources,
3rd House = Communications, glibness, eloquence, desire to write,
4th House -= chez You + family of origin,
5th House = babies, art, light romances,
      6th House = work & health,
7th House = marriage style relationships and biz partnerships,
8th House = Sex, Occult, like Scorpio,
9th House = Travel, Philosophy, Mind Expansion,
10th House = Public image, career, fame,
11th House = Groups, utopian visions, community You
12th House = your subliminal mind, your psyche.

That is the piece I think I can answer! Good Luck!

  60. I also have Neptune and Chiron transiting my 5th house in Pisces with my natal placement of Chiron and Saturn in Pisces… what is cooking with the Chiron placement. I thought Chiron was a love bug and being placed in my 5th house of romance… could this be good? LOL!! Is it a double wammy or an overload causing the opposite affect. :)

  61. Basically all of my stuff is in 5th-8th houses…

Moon (Libra) & Jupiter (Scorpio) in 5th
Mercury, Venus, North Node (All Saggitarius) & Pluto (Scorpio) in 6th
    Sun & Mars (Saggitarius) in7th
Uranus & Neptune (Capricorn) in 8th
And a lone Saturn (Aquarius) at the end of 9th.

What I’ve gathered from this is that relationships are important to me, work is huge in my life but I’ve got to do it on my own terms, and I’ve got some weird thing with partners? I’m very new to astrology obvs.

  62. Loaded x 5 is the 11th and 3 in the 8th. Giving the public my utopian vision of sex & death without taxes?
That’s got legs…it walks it’s talk, tho’ not lately.
Then there’s that Moon-Neptune partnership in 10th…tricky to say the least
and Venus in 12th is suspect too :-)

    • Venus in the 12th, I think creativity and healing properties? I think the 11th being crowded for you makes totes sense, what with your public service in the islands and talent with community relations. :)

  63. I would love a bit of help understanding my houses!!
In my second house I have Sag sun, moon, mercury (and according to my calculations of sun rise -which may be wrong- my rising too) With Saturn and Uranus in Capricorn.
Then I have one planet, node or chorion in 1, 3, 5-8 and 12 which leaves 9-11 empty.
I don’t resonate strongly with 2nd house and am drawn to 9 and 11(where I have nothing).
    Ideas?

  64. Ok, I am not so good at this but I got a bit going on in the 5th house Moon, Venus,Lillith, Ceres and Juno in Cap as well as well as my North Node in Sag. Sag sun Conjunct Neptune in the 4th, @nd house Pluto and Uranus. Absolutely Nada in the 7th :(

  65. Oh I lie, apparently I have Pholus and Vertex in the 7th but as I kinow absolutely nothing about any of that I am really clutching at straws!

    • Eh…probably both I guess. I would imagine with the packed houses it would be if you are working with the energies of the planets within constructively or destructively. With the empty houses to be honest I am not so sure because I am still most definitely in the learning phase, I would imagine it might be an area you might consciously try to shine a bit more light on. However this is only a guess and I would love someone who has more knowledge to answer that one better :)

    • Usually 10th house means you will find fame so long as your energies are directed towards good intentions / for the benefit of the masses? So unless you were a Rockstar like Bono who utilises his time/money to global charities etc, you might not find the fame you’re looking for?

  66. I understand that the planets are in particular houses, but on the data sheet there is a column to the right that looks like this…does anyone know what it means?

    Houses (Plac.) Declination
    Asc. l 8°17’30″ 8°27’43″ S
    2 a 3°51’50″ 1°32’10″ N
    3 b 3°34’32″ 12°42’36″ N
    IC c 6° 6’38″ 21°19’51″ N
    5 d 8°58′ 7″ 23° 8’23″ N
    6 e 10° 0’46″ 17°44’25″ N
    Desc. f 8°17’30″ 8°27’43″ N
    8 g 3°51’50″ 1°32’10″ S
    9 h 3°34’32″ 12°42’36″ S
    MC i 6° 6’38″ 21°19’51″ S
    11 j 8°58′ 7″ 23° 8’23″ S
    12 k 10° 0’46″ 17°44’25″ S

  67. Ooh love this post, a fab distraction from the crazies…. a LOT of them around me atm.
I dunno if this counts as balanced or crowded:
    Cap 5th – Moon-Lilith conj; Eros-Juno-Vertex conj
    Aqua 6th – Venus-Ceres (conj) and Pallas
    Pisces 7th – Sun/Merc/Saturn (conj)
    Pisces 8th – Chiron, Psyche
Pluto-Uranus conj in Virgo (1st, opp Pisces stuff).
I am a writer but I have nothing in the 3rd except Gary *giggles immaturely*

  68. Can someone clarify for me, the planets do actually change houses right? You dont always have you emphasis in the same areas? Im hoping so else Im totally screwed!

    • Hi Leocarrie, yes. Planets are stationed in your natal chart. So, when you plug in your birth date / time you will see which planet is stationed where in the houses of your chart.. THEN, the planets also transit around your chart. If you use http://www.astro.com you can see the transiting planet positions throughout the year.

      I hope this helps!

      :)

  69. 29 Scorpio Asc
    12th-
jupiter 1* scorp opp taurus moon (taurus moon trines Pluto in 10th)
    neptune 4*
    north node 5*

    1st house-
    saturn conjuct mars in sag

do I finish putting up the barbed wire fence and write film script and sculpt mermaids
or do I fly off to the black forest and do tibetan pulsing?
    natal uranus conjuct MC Leo

  70. Hmm, I have a crowded 10th house too, Sun & Mars in Kataka, and Merc in Gem are all there. Plus the MC is in Gem, though I’m not sure this matters?

All I know is that it’s very likely I’ll be working till I’m 80, but more because I like to.

  71. I love this thread! Mystic I love how you clearly define the 5th, 7th and 8th house regarding relationships. I was confused with which one to look at for me but now understand where to look.

    Just saying! :)

  72. I have stellium in 9th house, uranus, neptune, sun, saturn, NN in cap and venus in aqua. I just can’t figure out the way to blend the capricorn sign with the 9th house. 9th house is all about philosopy and expansion, that is more similiar with sagittarius. While capricorn is about limitation, restriction and discipline.

    • Thinking that Cap is all about limitations and restrictions is a little limiting, don’t you think? :P

I’m not going to argue that Cap is about discipline, though. That’s what Saturn is all about. But I don’t think it’s impossible to blend philosophy and expansion with hard work and discipline. If anything, pushing the limits and exploring new horizons of philosophies and beliefs is quite relevant to Pluto in Cap & the zap zone and all that.

  73. The major ones for me are:
Part of fortune conjunct Neptune in 5th.
    Mercury exalted-Sun-Pluto-NorthNode-Pallas-Juno-UBasti in 2nd..
    Mars-Jupiter exalt in 12th..

  74. My 10th house has Moon-Pluto-Saturn conjunction all in Libra!
My 5th house has Sun-Mars-Chiron (sun-mars Gemini) chiron in end of Taurus
My 12th house has Jupiter-Uranus conjunction (in Sagg)
my 1st house Neptune conj Ascendant in Sagg

I guess my 10th house and 5th/6th (they are on the cusp)

  75. So, a house is crowded if you have three or more planets? How about three groups of conjunctions? Hahaha

My first house is absolutely loaded:
-Mercury in Sagg (retrograde, even!) conjunct my ascendant, first house side
-Uranus, Sun, Neptune all conjunct in Cap (as well as the asteroid Pan, which I find amusing)
-Saturn, Venus and North Node all conjunct near the end of the first house

So, um, as Pluto goes through Capricorn, I’m going to have an *interesting* time. I did some research, and found that when I have my first Saturn return in a few years, Saturn will be conjunct Pluto. Over not just my Saturn, but my Venus and NN as well. Jeez!
