The Aries Praying Mantis
In the tradition of Sagittarians Al Fresco (one look at the pic and you know it’s a Saggo beetle) here is the Aries Praying Mantis. It looks like he/she is prancing about, thinking up some fancy Muay Thai moves and getting set to thwack that intrusive feline one straight in the hooter. You think?
hahahaha that makes me laugh. “come on you big piece of fur! I’ll bite ya toes off!” *cat laughs evilly and prepares to eat praying mantis*
- Next scene, we see hear a ‘Haaaaaiiiiiiii-YA!!’ And see the cat come sailing over the back fence…

Actually I once knew a Chihuaha who used to catch cicadas (up to a dozen) and line them up in a neat row and each time one would start to crawl away he would place it back in the line. He would never hurt one, they just had to line up for perfectly for hours on end. Never knew his sign but would hazard a guess it was Virgo lol.
Never saw Virgo sis do anything like that, very loving and accepting around animals (not people); but Capricorn sis would totally do that, probably still now as a grown up!
lol.. yes know a few Caps and on their bad side, they can be (for lack of a better word) kinda cruel, cold and calculating. But then Virgos can be carping and critical (towards people) yes. Doesn’t the 6th house involve animals? So I get that. Actually am a huge fan of non-human animals, somewhat less of a fan of the human animal (or what the human animal does rather). I rescue abused and neglected animals – is that my Virgo Moon or my Jupiter in Pisces? Or a bot of both? (Am Taurus Sun, Gemini Rising)

Can I put a question out… is it possible to become your rising sign more as you become older? As everything I’ve read says its the other way around? Any thoughts please..
Yeh totally. I reckon I’ve become more Cap as I get older. Really noticed it when Pluto transited my Asc recently. Or maybe I’m just owning it. Use to hate being a Cap riser but love it now. Of course Caps get better with age, so that might have something to do with it
Caps do indeed improve with age… once upon a time I would have said only booze did that! This is happening to me, I was Toro through and through during my childhood, ie unchangeable, totally fixed, sullen, one-track mind. As I get older, I am more sociable, changeable, fickle, can’t sit still, two million thoughts in my head at once, and you know what? I am loving it!! i thought I’d grow into old Bullshite but instead have discovered my inner twins that were there all along but never really saw the light of day. ThanksScorpalicious!
I’ll take a cap over Virgo anyday! As a Taurus I have both in my life.
I would call it JUpiter Benevolence on the love of animals. It was Pisces ruler before NeptuneI. My empathy for animals is almost bizarre. Dead birds or other road kill leaves me bereft and wondering if there is any hope for humans trampling over Gaia.

Master Mantis of Kung Fu Panda?!
This city-bred Aries was terrified of the praying mantis for many years. Those huge eyes! That multi-directional head … Those long clawed limbs … Wings too!
Now I thrill at seeing them in my garden. This year there are scores of mantis babies around my gardens.
I had no idea Zorak was an Aries, but it makes sense now.
He’s also apparently Episcopalian.

Well this Sagg has a special place in her heart for Praying Mantis,as a sprog was always at the Children’s Library taking out insect & nature books.
They are the closest to what i suppose ‘aliens’ would look like, their little beady eyes rotate whilst looking at you, very ballsy, don’t run from you, stand their ground or leaf or door frame. Very cool.
Can never ever kill a spider, always the glass and piece of paper slid over the top and relocated outside. Respect, it’s about respect and communication, it’s like they know you mean no harm and allow.
I have a dead ladybird and gypsy moth collection….insects and angels
they really do look like an encounter of the 3rd kind.
i too am a spider put-out-sider pegasus. Except for the real baddies who are in too close proximity.
