Quite apart from all the asides about Taurean truculence, couch-worship and appetites, Taurus truly IS the sign of nature. And Jupiter – the Guru – is still in Taurus so there is luck and cosmic awesome to be gleaned from wandering barefoot on the ground or taking in the majesty of nature. Not only that but most of this weekend is the Dark Moon in Taurus so tree-magic totes powerful and restorative. Try it and see.

Woke up super early to enjoy the light coming through the train on way to work. Was magical. Felt like entire train was bathed in it.
That resonates immensely with me. I loooooooooooooove epic forests like that sooooo much. I have some very cherished memories of walking through the forest leading up to Harwoods Hole on top of Takaka Hill in Golden Bay, on the northwest of NZ’s South Island. GLOOOOOORIOUS!!!! Never before has the earth spoken so clearly to me, ever.. If anything I credit that experience earlier this year with placing me firmly on the path I am on right now..
This is why I hate to see trees cut down. Going to hug one of the majestic eucalypts outside right now *scurries off*
I have a question. Why is jupiter in Taurus supposedly a good ‘motherhood’ (parenthood?) indicator? An astrologer told me this when she was doing my chart ages ago.
I just thought jupiter in Taurus just made you fat. or heavy, maybe you know, expanding appetites, earthy etc
No idea. I have Jupiter in Taurus in 4th and I’ve never wanted to be a mother/parent. Reckon it’s due to my Saggo moon squared Uranus. The thought of being responsible for another human being never appealed. Have enough responsibilities with my Cap Asc.
Don’t have much of an appetite either.
I do love nature though. But who doesn’t?? It’s universal. I’ve never met anyone who’s said “nature… hate it” lol
I have: an Aqua sun woman. Claims to totally dislike nature, doesn’t get others’ appreciation of flowers and the like. I’ve yet to locate her power source, but I strongly suspect she’s a cyborg.
I have too. Men, women and it’s really strange too.
I think it’s a pose to look cool. They don’t go to the beach because, “rockstars” don’t wear shorts. They don’t camp because, it’s dirty and “unhip.” She doesn’t like to get dirty like poor “homeless” people do.
None of them were happy and all had severe addictions to drugs, coke, heroin, booze, pills you name it. (Maybe, they have squared Neptune aspects?)
All of them were asswads.
If someone doesn’t like animals, or nature something is very wrong with that person.
Lol my old aquarian boss had no problem stepping on dog or puppies toes with her cane. She was the meaninest Aqua i ever met. But i would still work for one bitchy person than a corporation full of bitchy people anyday..

I know ppl who avoid nature. I suggested a picnic lunch with my multi Gemini friend once and she reluctantly said “ok, but if there are bugs I’ll be difficult.”
Oh and a cancer pal who prefers to swim in the pool than the ocean and I took her swimming in the sea and yes there was seaweed and some fish and while we were swimming along she said i dont think i like this, I don’t like to consort with nature while I’m swimming

My Saturn resides in Taurus but, in my 7th House. I had some horribly emotionally abusive relationships in my teens/ and young adulthood.
It seems to be working now for me.

I was told something similar from an astrologer when I was younger trying to figure out why I kept attracting and dating abusive, crazy men.
I need to stop being crazy and abusive to myself first.
I am still crazy but, in a much healthier artistic way now.
I am learning to master the art of relationships and communication. It’s been worth it.
Maybe Jupiter in Taurus is an indicator of earthy abundance? And earthy abundance is a great mother/parent quality? I dunno.
Thanks for posting what the astrologer told you! I have Jupiter in Taurus. I think I have been a pretty good mother–both my children love me, and they are well-adjusted and doing well in school, etc.
I have Saturn conjunct the moon–and Mystic has said in many posts that it is an indicator of not having received good parenting. That is true–my mother was not my role model for good motherhood. I am grateful for my Jupiter in Taurus, if that has contributed in any way to me breaking the cycle of abuse and being a good mother.
Hey, Pisces under NM, I just had an idea– maybe the astrologer told you that because Taurus (according to some) is ruled by Mother Earth? It would make sense for Jupiter (benevolence) in the sign of Mother Earth to be an indicator of good parenting skills.

Nothing exciting at my end. My Jupes is in the 4th house. I’ve been looking for a new abode and couldn’t find anything suitable so I decided I may as well stay put. Then, I got a letter from real estate agent informing me that my rent is going up. Quite a substantial amount too!

So, I’ve started looking again.
My Joop Retro is in the 6th house. I began by putting on some weight this year, but lately I have been going to zumba classes in the morning and long 3-mile walks in the evening. I am also eating a lot less. I have a measuring cup that I use to dole out exactly one-fourth of a cup of quinoa for my lunch/dinner. (I have stopped eating rice and wheat.) So Joop Return is about becoming healthier I guess. After about a month of this work, I have lost –wait for it—ONE POUND! Whoo-hoo!!!!
Anyway, maybe Joop in Taurus drags his feet a bit. Likes to stroll and sniff the roses on his way to bringing you his gifts. So maybe you will still find that great new home you’re looking for!

I did weep and make a fool of myself last year when the crazy lady downstairs chopped down our birch tree (it was my bedroom view, had such attachment to watching the changes of the seasons on its branches). She said its leaves were clogging up the drainpipes.
I have no idea what planet she is missing but its the tree loving one…:(

Wow, sometimes this blog is so uncanny– I will think of something intensely and a related post will just pop up. I was in a church parking lot today, and couldn’t bear to leave because it was so beautiful. The church was made of brick and stone and surrounded with beautiful tall trees. I thought about how grateful I am to be living in a place that has so many trees. It was a feeling that is hard to describe–like a mountain spring welling up inside my heart. And then, a little while later, a post about “magic trees.”
that’s lovely. I do miss tree-d landscapes a LOT now that I am in the city.
If There is at least no tree(s) you wont find me living there. I hate tree bare living it just feels so wrong for me. If there is none try and plant before you go. Or stay till they come of age.

Beautiful post… the last few weeks I’ve been getting back into my garden after two years of complete neglect. After my beloved dogs died I couldn’t bear to be in it, but now something has shifted and I am finding sustenance there again. Nothing back breaking,although goodness knows it needs the work… just pulling out a few weeds, turning the soil, doing some cuttings. Getting reacquainted. The weather is also cooler after a hideous summer, which helps. Jupiter in Taurus here as well.

ah that sounds wonderful!! ..l’m looking forward for the moon to get out of aries because it falls in my 8th and it’s not fun…l am always happy if the moon passed aries and l didn’t get into a fight…i don’t know what i’ll do when my progressed moon will enter aries. l hope to be eveolved by then (2years) so that l can stay on top of it all (sigh)!! l’m still trying to learn to deal with those heavy energies l’m trying to beat them before they beat me.

Spot on. Toro Moon 4th here and was having a hornmoanal cry this am, thinking about hugging the redwoods in Ladybird Grove years ago. I had such a time of it for awhile, so sick – I hugged and hugged my redwood friend. Trees and earth will take the stuff that is hard to handle and send it back underground to be processed, later re-born in new life, new growth.

Not just for the obvious reason of oxygen, but for feeling in touch with
nature and the world.
Any city or suburban landscape seems totally devoid of warmth
or humanity if it is tree-less and baren, no matter how striking the architecture. A tree lined street is always beautiful – in spring it is fresh, in summer it offers shade and protection, in autumn it is mellow and soft, in winter it is a reminder of nature’s cycles.
I wish people would stop using those horrid leaf blowers!!!!

Some places have banned lawn blowers, I agree bring back the silent rake!
I wish they would ban them in my area! Can’t stand them. The dumbest and most useless invention EVER!!! It doesn’t clean anything but blows dirt around. I use to live in a building that had an outdoor corridor (similar to a motel building) and the cleaners used a leaf blower instead of a vacuum cleaner. I knew when they had been around because I had dust and dirt blown into my apartment!! Grrrrr!

I ‘heart’ this so much! Had in the back of my mind to go for a bush walk on Saturday, def going to do it now! Not quite the what I’d call ‘forest’ where I am but beautiful Australian bush about 20 mins out of the city and you feel like youve gone miles away, it’s so quiet and will smell so good after the rain we’ve had! So still magical…

Cute post! Had my 3.5 year old and my 4 year old niece lying in the back yard today.
We did ‘Crystal Feelings’, a game I made up where I get them to hold a crystal and I ask questions like, “Is it a strong crystal or a soft feeling one?”
“Does it feel like the earth, the air or the trees?”.
The kids were brilliantly perceptive.
Fuschite is def the tree crystal. If you connect with it, it totally helps you with feeling Devas and tree spirit energies. It is very green and glittery too, a disco, nature crystal.
p.s. my fave colour is “sunlight through green leaves”.

When i was smoking salvia i got a game you could play with kids. You can make a big leaf with the branches ona tree if you put finger to thumb then align with branches to “make” a big neptune a leaf with veins.
It also shows how fractals are everywhere.

As a Taurus, it is only natural that I feel like the King of Trees. I worked in a greenhouse as a kid and I must have planted hundreds of trees, and cared for thousands. Trees know I love them, so they talk back to me. I can look at them and see how they are breathing, which tells me what the weather will be. I told someone I can hear the trees talk and he asked, “so what is this tree saying?” I said, “well, they don’t speak to me in English!” I thought about it for a long time, and I figured there are only about 3 thoughts of trees that can be expressed in human language. They are “ahhhh,” “more water please,” and “oh no, not again!”

When peeps/life as we know it drives me nuts..I find refuge/God/and recharge in nature…
If one should smoke (I still do occasionally)…spend time in nature to “realign the electromagnetics”…Kelp, dulce and any of the sea vegetables are most encouraged as well…(I’m quoting info that was given to me)…
I tend to appreciate nature more at a distance. When I get out in nature, I feel too intimately connected with the cycle of life, which unfortunately involves me becoming insect and plant food.

Her son just got to New Zealand as he met a girl from there (they’re in early 20′s)..
But they met online and first she came here with her little girl about a year ago….They got engaged and she is pregnant now and so they went back to NZ just last Thursday as she will have good benefits there.
They left right before Mother’s Day and L had cried as I’d talked to her. I could relate due to my Gemini getting married so young at 19…he was 18 (oh lordie…lol) )
My daughter then tells me she’s pregnant….
So my daughter was preggers as she walked down the isle dressed in white..lol …But really, who cared? I only sobbed my eyes out as she had originally told me outside of Robinson’s dept store where she had worked and she was on break…
I said “oh, did XX put a ring on your finger while he’s away at boot camp?”
She said “yeah”….
SHE HAD ACTUALLY ALREADY GOTTEN MARRIED….
Hence her later white wedding..preggars… but Persain father made sure she still had the proper thing… I was initially upset that my blessing hadn’t mattered to her but now it’s just a funny story…lol
Which all this brings me to my partying title of this post…
Double Cappy and I had a tear moment when she was crying about her son going to NZ…
So today she gave me a “belated M.D’s gift”..
I asked if I should open it now…She said in private…then I knew what she gave me and I was like omg…lol
She gave me some pot!

I did rest, then I did something for a few hours you would probably not believe. I caught someone throwing out a snarled up 500 foot spool of parachute cord that was donated to our Occupy camp. It was off the spool and in a big tangled lump, she thought it was beyond recovery. So I took it. I didn’t know what I was going to do with it, so it just sat there for a month or two. I started unsnarling it this week, on and off. So today I sat down and unsnarled it for a few hours, and got it all sorted out. It is actually kind of meditative, it’s kind of like unweaving, along with some minor spatial reasoning puzzles. I must have run out over a mile or two of cord, back and forth, over and over. And now it’s all in neat little coils. And I still have absolutely no use for it. But now I have like $100 of free paracord and I’m keeping it.
One of my friends decided I needed to get out, she said come to a book reading. So I went to go pick up my drycleaning. One of the things I hate most about being poor is wearing my crappiest clothes all the time because I want to preserve my nice clothes. It took me weeks to save up enough money to get $25 of drycleaning. So I go pick it up, the drycleaner lost my best shirt, a $130 Italian dress shirt from Neiman-Marcus, an extravagant gift from my mom. The clerk spent 30 minutes trying to contact the cleaning plant to locate it, to no avail. Just as I was about to get furious, the driver came in. She said, “oh yeah, I saw that one, the tag fell off, now that we know it’s yours, I’ll bring it tomorrow.” Sheesh.
So I dressed nicely (for once) and went out with my friend to a book reading. It was shit. Literally. I mean that in the literal sense of literally, the first two authors wrote down elaborate stories involving shit, had them published, and then read them to the audience. It was mortifying, especially when the second author started singing schoolyard ditties like “Hitler only has one ball, Goering has two but very small.” The third author (who my friend came to see) was obviously annoyed at being with these idiots, he started by saying, “This story isn’t about shit, it’s about pee.” LOL. Well it wasn’t, it was about him going on a date and he couldn’t get it up. Jeez. The final author read a story about how people on the internet should just shut the fuck up. I love her.
So after that, we went out for some frozen yogurt, and it was all over by 9. I decided to go have a drink by myself. I went to my local, went out on the patio, and was instantly attacked by vicious insects. I inadvertently sat underneath a lamp that attracted bugs. I got the hell out of there and went home.
And what do I see when I get home? I got an email an hour ago from my Virgo nurse friend that I’ve got the hots for, asking when my birthday is. I wrote back and said it was today. Just now as I’m writing this, I got another email, she wants to take me to lunch tomorrow. Now that’s what I should have been doing, taking her out. Let me see, is Mars out of Virgo yet? Nope, smack dab in the middle. I was thinking of asking her out after Mars left Virgo, but what the hell.
