“CAIRO — In a rare find, Egyptian and Swiss archaeologists have unearthed a roughly 1,100 year-old tomb of a female singer in the Valley of the Kings, an antiquities official said Sunday.
It is the only tomb of a woman not related to the ancient Egyptian royal families ever found in the Valley of the Kings, said Mansour Boraiq, the top government official for the Antiquities’ Ministry in the city of Luxor,
The singer’s name, Nehmes Bastet, means she was believed to be protected by the feline deity Bastet.
Archaeologists concluded from artifacts that she sang in Karnak Temple, one of the most famous and largest open-air sites from the Pharaonic era, according to evidence at the site.”

Ubast is rising in aquarius, conjunct nnode and moon there too. almost exactly quincunx sun/mars in virgo. when venus went over it an aries friend jst looked at me and told me cat is definitely one of my spirit animals HEH

Oh it’s so cute the way it stretches out its little toes trying to grab on to something. But once it figures out it’s not falling and crashing into anything, it seems to start enjoying it. Anyway, that was an art project, a woman took her cat and two mice up on a Russian training aircraft and filmed them in zero G.

Strangely enough i just read that due to the heiroglyphs representing her name Bast is thought to mean “she of the ointment jar”, and i’ve recently become interested in using solid perfumes that use all natural essential oils and ingredients. And also using these to enhance sleep/dream time.

It would figure that cats be the patron of singers… the wild ones in my neighbourhood love to make a chorus line outside my apartment at certain times of the year! I have Ubasti at 26 degrees Cap in the 7th house. I like to think Bast is one of my mentors as I’m honing my chops as a working singer. Cats and Cows have a pretty good working relationship from what I’ve found. Mau!

That’s a very elegant placement. Moon in the 10th can make you famous or notorious, it’s about how others see you apparently. Well sophisticated and cat like would be a start. A kundalini dancing queen. Re nodes, best book read so far on it, i think, is “karmic astrology” vol 1 by Martin Schulman. got it yesterday and it blew me away, in depth and accurate.
Jan Spiller’s ‘Astrology for the Soul’ is another good book about the nodes for those interested.
