Outer Planet Shoes

Prada 2012

Let’s just say that outer planets run fashion – they probably do.  Look at the upsurge in sportswear when Pluto was in Saggo. Peeps fanging around with lingerie/corsets etc as outwear when Pluto was in Scorp. Grunge? Uranus in Capricorn: a fuq u to corporate expectations, we could go on forever with this. See previous posts in this category for more theories.

So now – if we take shoes: Uranus in Aries footwear should be winged sneakers. Nothing else is going to quite cut it. Somebody invent them. Or would they not provide enough exercise for an Aries archetype?  Pluto in Capricorn = super-functional footwear. Postural enhancement, reflexology points all hit, skin softening enzymes released every few hours, etc.

But Neptune in Pisces will win because Pisces “rules” feet and Neptune rules Pisces. Shoe design is set to go batshit insane, surreal, amazing and just beyond. Think also the same trends with cinema, scent and – um – oil.

Thoughts?

    • i am personally still a bit miffed as one who grew up with 80s pop culture telling me by 2012 hoverboards would be a normal mode of transportation. the future was supposed to be interesting, look what we have done with our technology. Porn on every channel. can I cash in my download net speed to extreme wank cam girl shows for faster shoes plse?

  1. These look like Uranus in Aries (back half – lippy/jet injection thing) meets Neptune in Pisces (aren’t my toes pretty). Too bad you won’t see my karate kick coming. Could that be a stapler on the back? I need to go to bed clearly, although Mars is in Virgo…..

  2. oh, Yes.

You know the fairy tales where a newborn babe is visited by various fairies who bestow blessings and wishes on the infant…? Well, when I was born, the Shoe Fairy paid me a special visit and I am still the beneficiary of her largesse…. thank you Shoe Fairy

  3. oh, and Mystic. re Cinema and Scent. What if instead of just sound accompanying films, scent started to be used as well? you know, streets of calcutta, refined cologne of george clooney or another heart-throb, cut grass in some bucolic Summer Romance Epic…that sort of thing. Roses and gardenias for a wedding scene.
totes. i’ll bet my astro-bucks on it.

    • well, that will be the day I stop going to the cinema!! Can’t think of anything worse! I have Libra moon – extremely sensitive to smell – even some ‘nice’ smells… like CK and Donna Karan’s ‘Apple’ make me want to jump off the bus if someone’s wearing it.

  4. Speaking of scent, just got my little secret box from For Strange Women (she of the scent-driven new moon calender-thingy) and I have to say WOW !!! BOLLYWOOD !!

I like the Astral Projection, and the Decadence and Debauchery reminds me of Opium – both lovely, but the Bollywood just hits my buttons:

Saffron, Cardamon, Black Tea, Sandalwood, Lotus and Rose.

YUM !!! Am going to order a BUCKET of it. And wash my hair in it :p

      • me too PCFR. Deadly in my experience.
Shoe wise I hope with nep In Pisces there will be some flatties with style. So hard to find for a gal of giraffe proportions like myself. Pisces is meant to be the sign of compassion so possibly comfortable stylish shoes for once.
Is that an Oxymoron or is that just me being me? lol.

Does anyone know any flatty brands that are stylish? Do tell. Thx LG

  5. I think the transits have really been affecting shoe styles. In the 90s, with outer planets in capricorn, shoes were really clunky and masculine. In the early 2000′s with the aqua/sag combo, bright sneakers were in style, and designs got a lot more creative and sporty I think. Now, with pluto in capricorn, the power stiletto is such a big deal. uranus in pisces seems to have brought the ballet slipper, which I don’t think is going anywhere. Things are getting more sophisticated and status oriented (which isn’t bad) in my opinion. Like the ultra refined artist/ part time lawyer or something.

  6. The other day while visiting my grandparents, my Aquarius grandfather started a conversation off by saying that he was going to ”invent” (such an Aquarian word) PEPPERMINT CHEESE! Yes! Cheese with chunks of peppermint in it. He said that he ate cheese with candy cane shavings on crackers as a child and that he would like to make cheese with the peppermint already in it….because naturally he couldn’t be bothered “chipping away at a DAMN candy cane” when he could be slamming his laptop around, or watching The Osbourne’s. (Yes, gramp’s is HIP–he also watches The Kardashians.)

Anyhow, while he’s going on about his Peppermint Cheese invention, I was daydreaming about a pair of shoes; silver oxford shoes with silver wings on the back….sort of like a kick at Hermes/Mercury/Gemini. But, that in itself isn’t enough. My Scorpio Moon and Mercury-Lilith conjunction said: “No, they must have some kind of taser gun(s) on the bottoms or on the sides for self defense when you’re on duty as a private detective.” Then my Mercury in Pisces chimed in and said: “They must shoot out *puffs* of light peppermint and lavender like one of those Glade plug-ins.”–considering I already own a pair of silver glitter ballet flats that are bubblegum scented. And my Leo Ascendant says: “The wings on the back must shoot out glitter and confetti like a party popper!” My Uranus/Neptune conjunction in Capricorn suggested that they be oxfords because it’s like: “Business in the front, party in the back!”

And yes Mystic, my Aries Sun agrees that they must at least hover above the ground.

    • haha…I like the shooting puffs of peppermint and lavender. You would have special buttons to activate each modality, no? Or it would be done psychically? :)

Got a lovely Essenza scented wax warmer ensamble for Xmas from Libran paitent. Just trying it first time today. Holiday here and not working this Monday!

And yes Mystic (oil) gas has gone up almost every day here…

      • Essenza? She is Italian & trained under Micheline Arcier of the Federation
        of Aromatherapists, based in Melbourne.
They distribute the purest essential oils i have ever found. Absolutley
no sediment after burning, but expensive to diffuse, better a ‘burner grade’
        EO.
This is the brand i use, their ‘Reunited’ is divine, neroli, orange & orangewood.
Three EO’s from the one plant-tree, hence ‘reunited’.
        Lovely gift, Sweetie.

    • Anon, your grandfather sounds fantastic! Peppermint cheese … interesting, but I would totally try it. My Aqua brother has similarly outrageous ideas (coffee cheese, anyone?!), although his reality tv of choice is Jersey Shore.

  7. If you needed a running start before shifting into flying mode the Uranus in Aries shoes would provide adequate exercise and I-did-it-by-myself feelings for Arieans.

  8. I decided to look at the transits of my old Doc Martens shoes. Recently I got caught in an unexpected rainstorm, I was up to my ankles in water. My shoes were totally submerged and when they dried, they were partially ruined. Now they have a big crack, you can see my sock right through a split in the leather.

So I checked, my Docs were undergoing a 1/2 Saturn return. They are indestructible enough that they might make it all the way to a full return, but they will never be the same. From this point forward, they will continue to fall apart.

    • ha, 1/2 saturn return for your shoes. Cute. I remember when I bought a pair of those for my kataka when she was in her teens. She just HAD to have them. She was a goth/punker combo back then…I think…lol

      • Speaking of Returns…not the same but Cap Sun exact on my Moon today and Pisces Venus exact on my Sun/Mn midpoint and two degrees of my MC.

        Having a lovely day…

        • And then I came across a documentary on Martin Luther King Jr this afternoon…the whole reason why it is a national holiday here in U.S. today and I’m off work. How easily one only thinks of themself.

Sort of tear jerking as He (capitol H), is to be honored. Truly a special Soul with a mission.

Looked at his chart. An “A” rating from memory at Astrodienst.

Birthdate is Jan 15, 1929, 12:00 pm. I had questioned the birthtime as I’d wondered if it were a Solar chart. I’m thinking now, due to the rating, perhaps not.

But if the time is right, so telling.

Martin Luther got called upon as it was deemed important that someone be “colleged”. He went to college at age 15 and was a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta and an ordained minister by the time 42 yr old Rosa Parks would not give up her seat on a bus for a white. He was 26, so young.

His Sun was on his Capricorn MC (“I’ve been to the mountain”), but I suspect that it meant so much more than just an analogy due to his Aqua Mercury in 10th and his vision of something better.

Pisces Moon and Venus in 11th (love for the collective) trine Pluto in Cancer, 3rd. Powerful and nourishing words for the Soul.

He was also born of another Uranus in Aries period. “It’s a challenge
sometimes to get people aroused from their apathetic slumbers”.

He modeled the movement for civil rights after Ghandi whom he had studied in school.

Non violence with Taurus Asc and Toro NN in 1st, trine Cap Sun and MC.

Non violence as an immoveable force.

I remember something I told my Gem who had been born at one minute to noon. “Your Soul had cast no shadow that day”.

A romatic idea but if Martin Luther had indeed been born at noon then perhaps he cast no shadow except to reconcile the duality of dark and light, of ignorance and narrow mindedness. “I have a dream” and for that I am grateful for his love and leadership that lends toward a better world.

  9. I LOVE the Goethe-esque concept of the solar system reflecting the human corporeal. Reminds me a bit of those windcheaters in the 80s with the Davinci balance sketch in the middle. Sun and inner planet being core services: Sun/whole, mercury/drive/energy, Venus&Mars sex hoo-har..
Then the outer planets emotion, shoes, crochet and wotnot.
    The asteroid belt is wacky.

  10. Have developed a sandal fetish as i didn’t know you could wear them 5 months of the year.
Thought they were only for high summer. Revelation for me.
I love my feet, they haven’t aged.
Many of Prada & haute designer shoes are only for the challenge of craftmanship, for runways & photos, not meant to be actually WORN, do you think?
Shoes are an area i will not compromise in. Stuff them with tissue after every wear
dust them & polish them and they last for aeons.
Have found the mid-cost Joanne Mercer brand to be the most immediatley comfortable shoes. Mimco have copied Jimmy Choo’s perchance for very thin soles that will last
    10 walks.
‘Baby take off your coat……but you can leave your shoes on’.

  11. I love, love these shoes … don’t think I would wear them, maybe stick them on the mantle piece as installation art. As Pegs said, haute catwalk shoes are not really made for any kind of wearing that involve walking, unless it’s gliding from the limo to the fashion show and back.

I don’t know if this is typically Piscean, but I don’t actually own many pairs of shoes (four at the moment). I love the idea and artiness of shoes, but prefer to be barefoot or in thongs that can slip off easily.

  12. These shoes are incredibly cool. I’d love it if someone gave them to me. I’d even buy them (if I could afford to do so). :-D

  13. PS: Miuccia Prada is a Taurus… But maybe she was designing them for a Scorpio? They look like the shoes that belong to a very secret agent.

  14. Oh I am liking those shoes! I’m pretty good at walking in stilettos. One of my guy friend’s nick named me stilettos. haha. I’m 5”1′ So I like shoes that give me height. I also work at a school…I gotta try to be taller than those middle schoolers! But I’m so use to wearing shoes with height….that when I just wear tennis shoes…and I squat down to help the preschoolers zip up their coats up…I loose my balance and fall on my butt…that when you know you wear heels to much…when you loose your balance in tennis shoes.

  15. I took a look at the Feb Vogue today, i don’t see how shoes can possibly get any weirder and we haven’t even started yet. They had the shoes above but in a different colours plus heaps of others some with oddly shaped, coloured but transparent platform soles with stuff embedded in the side of the platforms. I can’t remember much now it all became a kaleidoscopic blur.
