Leo In Bed
Soz for such a raving astro-cliche but surely the $76,000 USD Luxury Indecent Bed would only really be appreciated by our Leo.
Think about it; this sign needs their sleep. Like cats, they consider slumber to be an integral part of their life force. Even Napoleon did a lot of his running the world from bed.
And of course, they are the sign most likely to have portraits of themselves on the wall and mirrors reflecting them in bed. So, dur, this is obviously a bed for Leo cokeheads, Leos with a lot of spare $ and/or Leos with artistic inclinations.
How it works: Your picture is taken by a “world-renowned glamour photographer” and then airbrushed into full-total-oh-my-godding-the-hotness-interplanetary sexiness and then hand-stitched as tiny tiles into the headboard.
The Feng Shui of this is most likely outrageous or maybe it’s really good.
Leos, fess up – how hot do you find this concept? And how many portraits of you dominate your decor? Are they airbrushed or just photoshopped?
Everyone else, if an eccentric (more like skitzophrenic) millionaire offered you this bed installation for free, would you take him/her up on the offer?

My Uranus says, “what a horrendous pixel rate.”
Mars in Leo – love it….
Mars in Leo – nope.
(But I am now getting hot imaging the Leo object of my obsession on a headboard… yum. Isn’t that just like a Libra? It’s all about relationships.)
p.s. Although I’d be completely turned off if the headboard belonged to him. (Modesty – or at least the convincing pretense of it – is so sexy & unexpected in Leos.)
Venus in Leo..love the idea of it but I think it’d be a bit de rigeur if it was actually of myself. Also, the pixelating makes me think of bad porn, censorship or just really poor HD TV transmission. Would Leos really want to be that subtle about draping a visage of themselves over le bed???
I’m thinking more a full on, high def portraiture involving gilt (never guilt) in some fashion.
oh look – it’s the budgie of love in the rotating pictures!
hooray!
that would be much more impressive on the headboard.
I like it.
Absolutely no airbrushing (got to keep it real) but always good lighting.
venus & mars in LEO = LOATHE everything about this ….. someone’s taking the piss surely?
venus in leo. Love being my bed, (& even – bed as a little mini stage as MM’s suggested at other times)… but find this loathesome with nothing to like about it. Will strike my own “curious poses” (when doves cry), but don’t need stitched pixels on my headboard! tacky!! and you’re stuck with the one pose forever. Mars in sagg – want a bit of variety about it!
agreed – who wants any distraction from ‘curious poses’ ?!!
bed sculpture in motion lol
ha! I like your style RLP!
i LOVED the Budgie Of Love – that would make for the most amazing headboard lol

Just reread that post and comments, brilliant if one needs a laugh.
“hand-stitched as tiny tiles into the headboard”
It’s like some kind of pixel art meets tapestry weaving? Conceptually I’m there but I’d prefer the content to be less literal. Something that alludes to hot sex coming soon as opposed to this vulgar wysiwyg arrangement.
Libra Venus Mercury Sun Scorpio Moon Neptune
I envisage a Rodin print I have in my bedroom – the Lovers, it would look awesome as a headboard…
it would indeed.
mmm – it would be a really tall headboard – I like that idea more like a feature wall than a headboard more to the scale of an old tapestry too. I can see the potential of this whole headboard thing. I googled the lovers to see what you meant because I wasn’t familiar with it and found this which I also like http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2003/feb/26/artsandhumanities.arts
one of my favs too PMS. I love the concept of this bedhead must be my moon in scorp but a slideshow of tasteful erotic pics would be great and it could be turned off for when the kids are around of course.
Little leo sister said “OH MY GOD!! I NEEEEEED IT!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! And she is so spot on!! I have a portrait of MYSELF over my bed, and cleary, function better and am more awesome with good sleep! I heart Medusa xxx PS: I really neeed that bed!!”
then “Seriously, if I had a pare $70k, forget the holiday, forget the shiny car, new home, whatever, give me THAT bed!!!!!!”
I would think the head board would be more interesting if it was small pieces of red reflective glass so you could catch images of your self in the throws of passion, always moving, looking hot. or glimpsing the others in it you had lined up around your boudoir
I like your thinking ds re. a live cam of your lusty session (tastefuly blurry and yes red)
I love it also and now really want a cheaper version – artsy glamour photo, non-hand stitched? But somehow a little blurry so that the person in bed with you has to double/triple check to make sure it’s you.
I certainly do need my sleep – 9-10 hours a night is ideal.
Slightly off topic, but still on beds. Remember that dreamy open-air Santorini bed photo that Mystic put up ages ago? On top of that island high above the sea, with candles, a white bed and pink light all around. Divine…..
I don’t think it’s really me, though I do recall in my youth having a huge poster of Michelangelo’s David on the ceiling above my bed.
These days we have a painting of one our cats above the bed. That particular cat regards us as his litter mates – loves curling up under the bedclothes leaning against one or other of us. Quite challenging when he comes in drenched after being out in a rainy night.
The bed itself is much too plain, and I don’t put pictures of myself up in my room. I’ll stick pictures I drew/painted up on the walls, but that’s about it. I admit, me with my leo sun, I like seeing pictures of myself when I look awsome (which is most of the time of course), but not enough to put up on the wall. Definitely not like this either.
I love sleeping and napping, though I constantly have trouble getting too much sleep and ending up with headaches. I love beds with tons of pillows and soft blankets. My dream bed is a round bed sunk into the floor with many, many pillows and silky or furry (not real fur) blankets. There’d need to be a gauzy canopy over the bed as well.
No Leo in my natal chart and no way would I want a naked portrait of myself on my headboard. Though I’d probably get all hot and bothered if it were a naked picture of my other half (that’s more a man thing than an astrology thing I think)
LOL i concur
BUT..from a strictly performance oriented aspect (and truly is there any other as far as Leo is concerned??), wouldn’t this ruin the mystery of the show. NOW, if say the headboard tiles somehow rotated to an alternate art work where your nakedness was on an unpredictable rotation, then I feel it would appropriately heighten the anticipation of it, as well as that dratted yet delicious feeling of “was that you or not you with your legs spread just flashing by, or did I dream it all up in lust??”
This reminds me of the Lady Gaga concert I just went to, on tv naturally the theatrical transitions are ultra smooth but on live stage there’s something slightly jarring about the fact that, no, that giant blown up fish monster thing did not just apparate & there was actually a stage hand desperately using an air compressor to fluff it up. It ruins the mystique.
That’s a great idea – the unpredictable rotation with brief glimpses rather than numbing bombardment.
I’d much rather the photographer take a photo of my morning coffee……& ‘then airbrushed into full-total-oh-my-godding-the-hotness-interplanetary sexiness and then hand-stitched as tiny tiles into the headboard.’
Yeah now we are talking! I would totally love waking up to that & might even have to sleep at the end of the bed just so when I wake up, there it is…… Mmmmm…. HOT!
with scratch and sniff fabric ?
Mmm nice idea!
I agree that Leo’s like a good bed to lounge around in.
I can’t speak for all Leo’s ( I’d be shot maybe not at dawn unless I was and the Leo death squad were just coming home from a night out) I digress, but no I don’t like the idea of stylised me spread out over the bed head.
I would think this would distract from me, the in the flesh me. I don’t think me muttering in a warped jealous rage at my own image, saying to a lover, no me, look at me, no not pixelated me, me here, right now me would do much for the mood.
That said I do have a small picture of me looking pretty good next to my bed. It’s meant to inspire me to get out and walk at dawn. So far it hasn’t worked.
LOL! That’s funny.
Maybe a photo of you looking crap is a better incentive?? I’m guessing you would have to go to great lengths to get such a photo, but it may be worth it?
Sun in Leo says ugh, very poor taste. Yes, there is a strong desire to be admired, but the admiration should be of me in the flesh, not a badly rendered image of me.
leo moon….blergggh
Not for this feline, though i wouldn’t say no to doing the art shot per say, just wouldn’t have it permanently rendered above bed or anywhere in view. For private viewing only when i say so
And yes to leonine sleeep – need 8 hours and when i run low i need to recuperate and lounge around like a cat *purr*
That bed is vile and I’m a Leo. Pictures of myself and my son on holiday (4 of them in the kitchen and 1 in work). None airbrushed.
Yes to the sleep – I love my sleep.
Oh and a picture of my two cats next to the bed – good Feng Shui I’m told to have pictures in the bedroom of pairs rather than single things.
no way! but i wouldnt mind a nude painting on the wall in front of the bed, but the idea of someone/self looking down over me, in a writhing coitus position, freaky!
I don’t like it much. And like Leonine Librarian and Melanie, I would prefer to be the focus of attention.
I love to sleep; 8 or 9 hours a night is a luxury. Afternoon naps are second favourite, and third is what Taurus Husband and I call TV Sleep. That is when you fall asleep on the sofa with your blanket while watching TV (takes about five minutes), then wake up later and go to bed. I don’t know why I enjoy that.
Oh, and no portraits of me anywhere and no mirrors near the bed. I do have a modicum of modesty. Most of the time.
In my defence the small pic by my bed is not a glamour shot, it’s just one that snapped a particularly good moment of me looking really healthy.
My interior image of me swings around wildly from argh stay in bed, to just walk like you mean it (will mask all flaws), that I think I need a sort of tangible reminder, that consistent exercise leads to exhibit A.
I think the warmer weather will help…and I have another Leo friend who is presently kicking arse in the fitness stakes wanting me to join her on morning walks.
Sorry just read what I’ve written and while true, may be off on a tangent.
Had no intention at all of having a go at your bedside photo! Was responding to MM’s challenge to Leos to admit to overdoing the self in the decor. It is nice to have a good photo of oneself to keep the spirits up.
Hope you do get into the fitness – I am an exercise nut and am healthier and fitter now in my mid 40s than at any other time. There’s no substitute for feeling fit and healthy.
Hmm.. as a Leo ascendant, I only recall having one portrait done, my sister did a really nice 9x12in watercolor portrait of me and I hung it on my bulletin board. But it was kind of abstract so you’d have to work hard to see the resemblance. My sister is a much better painter than I am, although she does not paint anymore.
Now that bed.. I think for $76,000 I could probably hire the model depicted in this example to inhabit my bed for a year. I would much prefer this.
ROFLOL – Go Charles
Maybe if it were of my boobs…… and I could put the pillows right in front of them…. it might look nice then????
Mars in Leo.
As in breast close-up. That doesn’t really count as an obscure pose though, really, does it.
No but it’s a grand idea. I’d sleep well under a giant boob, even my own.
This leo has to ask: Why would I need a sexy picture of myself on my bed when I’m being sexy in it? Seems like too much of a distraction from the main event. Gosh! I’d rather spend the money on some luxurious sheets in which to look gorgeous.
Yeah I think I’d take the offer up. 45 now and feminine beauty is fading. I’d like to catch it before it’s gone altogether. Not sure if I’d want it above my bed though. Perhaps a picture that can be changed if not in the mood?
Christ! Where the hell did this avatar/picture come from? It’s fuqing awful and I don’t know how to change it!
oh .. a helpful Mystic Astro Blogger passed on info on how to make your own .. go to Gravatar.com then upload one from your ‘puter .. or find something you like and save to your ‘puter and then do what they say ! .. takes 10 minutes or so..and you can go back and change to something else whenever you fancy !
Venus and Asc in Leo here: I can appreciate it, but it’s not for me. I’m with the above commenter who said she’d rather have amazing sheets to roll around in. I adore my bed – it’s a swedish foam mattress on a platform – and I spend tons of time there. But I don’t think I’d want a sexytime photo of me up above me all. the. time. Sometimes I just want to sleep.
