I have natal Mars in Leo in 6th house and I’m having unexpected surgery whilst travelling far from my home base. At the time of surgery, mercury and mars will be retrograde and retrograde mars will square my natal uranus in the 9th.
I’m just trying to wrap my head around his. A bit worried about surgery during two retrogrades.
Hopefully the surgeon will rethink his/her strategy and do xtra good job.

Ok some strange things happening – mars is retroing in my 2nd house – today discovered a glitch in a ddr and after hours of poring over statements and an amazing revelatory phone call with the peeps who’ve been taking my $ they tell me they’ve been charging me double for 18mths. I recoup hundreds of dollars. Very happy.
Next I discover ex employer has never paid super – tax dept tells me they will follow up on it and not only does he owe me thousands of dollars but they say he also has to pay interest for the duration of non payment. This amounts to more than it would have earned had it been in my super fund hilarious.
I was thinking about waiting until mars goes direct to get them to haul his ass through the auditing process but after the first scenario think maybe it’s time for me to take back what’s owed. Am thinking the conscious act of non-payment was the initial act of war and I’m simply returning to the field to retrieve what’s mine?

You didn’t write which signs, but a mud map has your natal Mars in Virgo and Neptune in Sagg. In mid Jan, Mars won’t be anywhere near those degrees and even if it was, the aspects are nothing to worry about. Really. Trust me, I’m a Virgo.
I have friends, siblings and nephews, nieces etc born during Mars retro and Merc retro. There were no weird occurrences around their births. People have successful, happy, healthy deliveries through every kind of transit/aspect.

There are checks and balances involved whenever someone is operated on and the person doing it isn’t a novice and will have their own astro which probably predisposes them to being good at surgery. Dear lark, altho I’m sad to hear you’re under the weather, I’m really grateful you shared your astro + what you’re about to do – it gave me a real life scenario to astrofiend on and I’ve learned some things in the last few hours because of it.
So what the novice has gleaned is your surgery was booked before merc retro = very good timing – maybe call them and make sure everything’s organised and ready prior to it going retro? And the fact that you’re having something from the past dealt with while it’s retro is also ideal.
Uranus in the 9th is about sudden travel – you’re having it done suddenly whilst travelling – way to manifest the astro hon, sudden discoveries of a spiritual nature – maybe you experience some kind of revelation whilst under anaesthetic – it happens.

After weeks of emailing/phoning funny vignettes to each other, we finally spent some time together and the chemistry rose something furious up from the ashes, I think at one point I actually heard him uttering what sounded like a prayer of gratitude. Maybe it was the rosary? Chanting?? Esperanto???
I’m half joking of course. So I was all nicely glowing when he called me the next day to gently probe, “so…how are you feeling?” We both have slightly similar histories, mine trumping his for sheer horror of course, so we had somewhat agreed this would be fun, casual, NOT a full on relationship. But post orgasms, he seems to have freaked.
Saying he was simply shocked that it went so well (is that a bad thing??) so now he is ruminating whilst spearing fish through a hole in some icy river. It was a bit of a buzz kill but strangely sweet.
His tactic was to THEN try to act casual about it, which didn’t really work as he then wasn’t able to see me before he left, and something else aside from his nose is now shriveling in the cold. Plus he just seems really sweet, so I think he’s trying to find his footing somewhat.

To give you an idea of tired, and I’m rapidly renewing via gimlet in veins….I was crossing the road today and across the way was my once very close Aries friend, the hairdresser, the one that fuqin cancelled on me 10 minutes before she was due to drinks she’d invited herself to…the lousy texter…anyway she looks at me and says your eyes are closed. I went ‘no I can see they have to be open’…she’s ‘um they look like you’ve been toking up all afternoon.’(which wasn’t the case but does give apparently an accurate visual)…so apparently I’m walking about looking extremely tired, and she asks herself to a sleepover boozy evening…as I was tired all I could say was talk to me sometime after mid January.
Also yeah I’d be surprised if you experience any whiplash with a Cap…but then steadiness can be sustainable…where burning hot fuq wits sort of go to ash fast…as you know…and they keep looking for new fuel all the time…point being difference could be fun, not a fuq wit, therefore still could be fun. Hello hello, was wondering if some of you lovely peeps who are clearly far more adept at understanding how to best work these Astro passages could give me some advice as I am largely learning quite a lot from reading what is posted on the forum…and you all seem more gorgeously interesting than trying to learn it all from books alone. So…. Sun in Sag, conjunct Neptune, Leo Rising, so with Leo in retrograde what is my best way to go. Just go all lurking in the shadows, planning and strategizing? Sorry for all the questions, just so much I want to learn, next I am tackling Jupiter….Phew!! Thanks xxx
