Saturn Vision

467494-staurn_girl_large

For those of you just tuning in, Saturn is about to move from Virgo into Libra. There are about a thousand-million posts on this site about the situation. Seriously, I just tried to find one to link to. Too many.

But my point: I want to take  up a collection to help fund Saturn’s earlier shift into Libra. It will currently be in about 28 hours from now. And no, thank you Saturn, I do NOT want to go and precisely measure that so as to be more precise and poised in my delivery of astrological information. I want to somehow fund Saturn to get into Libra NOW.  Even go haunt orbit in a different galaxy.  They say a cool new one was just discovered. I personally would trust travel information from N.A.S.A & so you’d think Saturn would find it fab!

Because right now, it’s like Saturn lingers in the last degrees of Virgo like a should-go-on hols anal-compulsive type stays on at the office, hanging out just to straighten piles of papers on the desk, write guilting narking-off notes and hack into peeps personal shit to see if they are slacking off or not.

For the next 28-ish hours, the Saturn-Virgo vibe intensifies…Go already! What will it take? How much $$$? Or is this the sort of complicated operation that needs to be measured in wheelbarrows of gold delivered to the crossroads at 3.10 am? Or SOULS?! Saturn please don’t creep me out and start on the mortality thing. I am onto the taxes I swear. Let’s leave it there for now.

Saturn Vision is strange. People seem strangely really old or ultra young. And not old in a good way: Decrepit, bodies like wind-gnarled old fig trees on some oceanic cliff, struggling  up the road in black robes OR really YOUNG as in caramel limbed leaping about with youthful joy and boundless hope. Rich – as in driving past laughing in convertibles or Poor to the extent of squabbling over five cents in the gutter. This is how Saturn makes you think.

The Inner Voice Of Saturn in Virgo Goes Something Like This:

Stop Whinging, it’s so immature…Well, you wouldn’t feel so “stressed” if you were more organised and stuck to your goals…You are not working that hard, have you ever measured the hours you spend doing actual WORK?…I think you will find a lot of it is non-essential activity…You are confusing the stress from your organisational failures with the stress you might feel if you put in a more solid performance…No, I am not counting the gym as non-essential activity although, why you bother when  you undo all the good work with your weak and unruly approach to nutrition is beyond me…Nonsense. It is a simple matter of self-control…No, you need to develop it. To work on it. Which would take a work ethic….

Dear Saturn,

We are Virgo-ing out here. We get it. Don’t bother with that shitty looking skirting board. We are already initiating a regular skirting board check to ensure that the all important border between the floors and the wall is not ignored again. Yes, the memo about how skirting board stains left untreated can lead to the floor detaching from the walls and the whole house sinking into hell WAS received. Thank you. And I even dreamed about it. Thank you for that extra reminder. Sometimes I forget that you are a Deity.

Enjoy Libra and please click through to the NASA link above to check out that HOT new galaxy…

Btw, Thanks Saturn it has been really great getting to know myself inside & out, backwards & frontwards, it was awful, painful & I have unreal abs. I am much more insightful, mature & do have a slight headache for the last 2yrs. I will never forget it, nup never! ;)

hehe.. my Virgo dad called me today to see if i had arrived safely (flying to Townsville tomorrow for a few days). I told him i was still at home. He thought it was Thursday!! Even i was wondering if it was today or tomorrow. C’mon!!!!

I feel the same – know myself inside and out! I have grown more in the last 2 years than i have in my entire life. And the insights still coming like explosions!

I’m most proud of my boundaries patrolled by kick arse security guards. :)

Hey Ubes, am thinking we need to organise celebratory nude salute for tomorrow with Saturn leaving us and all. It would only be polite to show off our Saturn stamped bodies to her. She might use the this as an opportunity to inspect our hard work… ;)

Thanks guys. Waiting for shuttle bus to my hotel right on the beach overlooking Magnetic island. God I love this heat – like a scorpion loves the desert. Can’t stop grinning. Will do a celebratory nude salute in my hotel room followed by a swim. Thrilled to bits that my little break has coincided with the turning of Saturn. :)

I am a little creeped out about how accurate that voice is…only you might need to add the ‘be faster, go harder, do better/more…’

LOL mystic your Inner Voice of Saturn in Virgo is so spot-on. Somewhere recently you wrote (daily mystic email?) that we should squeeze the goodness out of the last of this transit by listing the lessons learnt since Sept 07. Well i seem to have internalised that inner voice… (will be soooo glad to see the back of it. But it has been very useful). And I have learned that if I am following a passion, I *do* have a work ethic, and through better organisation I can avoid stress. Magic!

Do you suppose NASA might set up a shuttle service to the other galaxy?

You’d think they could come up with a better name for it than JKCS041. Must have been named by a Capricorn. Why can’t they name it Atlantis or Chocolatia or St Kilda or something?

Oh Mystic, you are a poet! At work I summarised one of Australia’s top cultural analyst’s insight into a certain issue. She was at a meeting and her words were gold.

The senior exec emailed me in response to my meeting summary and said “Just record action items”.

    This left me cold.

Then my immediate boss called me into the office and said I should be less emotional at work and not take heed of the aforementioned academic’s “rantings and ravings”.
I responded, “OK. Sure. Can you just tell me what’s not emotional about the phrase ‘rantings and ravings’?”.

After reading your post, Mystic, I wonder if my boss’ imperative was symptomatic of Saturn digging its heels into Virgo…..

Saturn is a great teacher when it comes to playing things by the rules. Approaching tasks with rigour. I love that about Saturn but not when it is restrictive for the sake of limitations without meaningful purpose.

Anyway, Mystic, a very helpful post…..Thank you.

      Nice comeback.

So why did they invite an expert if they just wanted to record ‘action items’. Bollocks. Was it to give the appearance they give a shit and are doing something when they don’t and won’t?

      Cynical, moi?

Now? I have to write another essay my eyes are going to start bleeding. And I DO have to write two essays. I just don’t think it’s possible to write an essay with gauze over my eyes, Saturn. I need to relax for a little bit.

Saturn has been hovering over my pluto and uranus these last couple of months. Really horrible. I had a standup argument with someone over family matters the other day and I still have no idea whether I was setting boundaries or overreacting to perceived intrusion. No idea whatsoever. I hope saturn and Libra can help ease the pressure.

Major brainwave: There’s only one good reason for being organized and planning ahead and leaving enought time and eating well and getting enough sleep/exercise/water: not because you “should” or because everyone else does or because it will make you feel not-bad or not-guilty. Because it makes you feels FANTASTIC!

CBA I think that it’s similar to the feeling I get when I’ve uncluttered…it’s all leaving the way clear to operate at our peak. I think when I’m embracing Saturn rather than resisting, I have more freedom…and sustainable freedom, not that fly by night fleeting moments of freedom…the good stuff, more of it more often…and yes THAT feels fantastic.

So accurate, Mystic! I finally cleaned the skirting boards last weekend. I just looked at how dirty they were and thought – “If I came in here as a stranger and saw the dirty skirting boards, I’d think the person who lived here was a slob.” So I cleaned them. Then I thought “Who the fuq judges one by their skirting boards???”

AND then Saturn walloped me in the face again yesterday. She said “If you’re to revolutionise the creative industry you’re in (or trying to be in), get your life happening, get a career happening, etc etc, you have to attack the writing project you tentatively ‘finished’ and left sitting on the edge of your desk since the beginning of Oct, and get it properly finished.” In my heart of Cap hearts, I knew it wasn’t “right.” Damn you Sat Girl!

So when my agent called to say my arvo audition was re-scheduled for today, I realised that dull, uncomfortable throbbing of a project left unattended was getting too strong. And then freakily, my writing project literally fell off my desk and at my feet.

I sat, started re-reading and within 3 pages, I wasn’t crying/ tearing my heart out/ bleeding from the mucus membranes, I was actually enjoying myself. Editing, scribbling down notes, etc etc. Ideas galore, enthusiasm returning, woo hoo!

So Saturn knew what I knew but refused to face. The skirting boards were cleaned and the only pending issue was my big fat writing project that needed maintenance. So I’m tending to it. I’m not avoiding. I’m not distracting myself as I have done all Oct. I’m going to re-write from page one and I’m going to STRUCTURE it better. Better structure, better chance of sales… or that’s the plan.

Did you hear me Saturn – RE-STRUCTURE!! Yes, that’s now my focus. I’m such a good Cap… just a tad sooky and avoiding and self-sabotaging…

“Saturn Vision is strange. People seem strangely really old or ultra young.”

Yes – a supermarket checkout mag photo editor has divined that vibe for a horrifying then-and-now cover featuring a washed-up and sun-damaged Linsday Lohan. (What else has Li Lo damaged? Could be a long list).

I like to think Saturn in it’s right location (this seems to fit) is more along the lines of this guy’s approach to work/life:

    http://www.davidco.com/

“Our ability to focus effectively on the job and priorities at hand is too often handicapped by the non-stop flood of required, but not necessarily urgent, input, decisions and actions with which we must deal. GTD teaches a simple, fundamental thought process which you can immediately apply to current work at hand, creating critical enhancements and seamless integration with your own unique personal management systems.”

He’s the IKEA / Howard’s Storage World of knowledge work.

It’s a terrific book – I highly recommend it. For some reason I can’t understand, it goes under a slightly different title in Australia – “How to get things done”. Seek it out – you can easily do without the coaching and workshops – unless you can get someone else to pay for you.
