Gloves, Rings & Aquarians…

yoko-ono

Yoko Ono, self-admitted “double Aquarius in the Age of Aquarius” always sounds ultra-Aquarian & this rave re gloves & rings is classic. As Aqua Rising, i adore jewellery and gloves etc to look at, yet cannot wear them…Especially jewellery, it feels constricting. I think that goes for Aquarius planets,Sun, Moon and Rising well as for women with strong Uranian themes going on in their chart…

“…I love gloves. I have leather ones, lace ones, satin ones. Long, medium, short. All great looking. But I hate wearing them. It’s too bad. Because I could wear them and look really sharp. But I don’t like them on – my hands cannot breathe properly. My hands love to feel the air, the breeze, the wind, the sun. So I put on really great ones that match my outfit, go out, and take them off right away. It’s really too bad. My hands are knobbly and tiny. Not a good combo. So I would love it if I could show off the gloves instead of my hands. But…that’s life…

I love rings. But for some reason, just like the gloves, I like to take them off right away, as soon as I am alone. I go to an opening wearing a nice ring. I come out of it, get in the car, and the first thing I do is to take off the ring and put it in my purse. I don’t like that feeling of something restricting my finger…”

I’m in the aquamoon club too…didn’t know I was in such cool company saggigal!
I ‘m a Leo so I can do some adornment, but its either/or…rings or bangles, earrings or a pendant. I start feeling like a shop if I wear more than 1 or 2, & I have to absolutely love whatever it is, like it has to carry an affirmation or a totem for the day or something, & I wear totally for myself. Today my amethyst crescent moon ring fits on my ring finger today after only fitting my pinky for yonks (must have been tho mudras at yoga) & I wore it to help stop me freaking out at the dentist….
I would so love to wear handfuls of amazing rings, but 1 or 2 is all I can cope with & no way on both hands at the same time…too much makes me all jangly…

I LOVE chokers – but the minute I get to work/home/car off it comes. Same with rings. Love/hate relationship.

The key is finding a proper fitting glove. I hate rings. Ever since i was in school and one of my teachers lost part of his finger or some sort of spinning device that caught part of his wedding band, I am scared of rings ripping your finger off.
I wear minimal jewelry. I have Uranus conjunct Sun.

    this is so interesting!

my sensitivity oscillates = a fickle jewellery wearer, I love it but it is always temporarily worn!

most consistent jewellery pieces for me are brooches – the clothes carrying them for me – sometimes I love a day of a long beady necklace but have to be feeling strong – I adore rings but they come and go, on and off – if am getting a migraine all rings, necklaces, hair ties, bra have to go immediately!

am a taurus w uranus exulted (whatever that means?!!) in scorpio – and sag rising x

omg that’s me with the accessories – esp gloves/jewellery. Have to shower/bath/sleep/make love sans accessories – what is that about. I so love to wear rings espesh and dress up for occasions but the minute i’m alone or accompanied but chillaxed it’s “off with the crap”. I do have Uranus conj Merc/Hecate/Pluto/Dionysius in Virgo (7th) BUT does that explain it???

I have an interesting jewellery collection which my Aqua daughter is coveting but rarely go near it – wot is that about??

I love to have my hands free (Gem Venus perhaps).

    Sooo interesting.

I am a 0 degrees Pisces rising, but often suspect that if my chart was rectified I’d be Aqua rising. So this is really fascinating since I am exactly the same with jewellery. Love it but cannot wear it as I feel constricted and unfree.

    Thou shalt not constrict me.

Would Joan of Arc put on her bangles before battle? Oh bugger that is my Aries moon maybe.

      buy your own jewellery aquasun!
my most meaningful jewellery are rings i bought to symbolise new starts in my life or from special places ive travelled, pendants that represent particular energy i want to embody etc etc.

I was off jewelry for years but suddenly began to buy myself all kinds of stuff, especially after a bad break up, because I felt like it was an acknowledgement to myself of how valuable I am as a person. Like a celebration. In fact I have two rings that I bought myself: one looks very like a crown and I pretend it is and the other has the image of a crown in a sort of cameo setting.

I have (small brass) bangles & gold earrings i wear all the time (leonine i guess) but rings – no. I love big blingy rings & would love to wave my hands around showing them of…but dont want stuff on my fingers…scorp moon & cap rising balance out my show-offy tendencies, he he. ouranus is on my 7th house cusp in T-sq wth chiron & neptune … that makes me a bit uranian ? certainly currently by transit anyway – but I’v always been this way about rings too

I have Aqua mars and on the MC which has been mighty active lately and as a result have not been able to wear any of my jewellery which as a Cancerian I lurvvvvvvvv (loads of rustic, chunky, silver, ethnic stuff). Like the rings bug me, the bracelets get caught in everything and just feel annoying.

Wow, I’m Sun, Moon and Ascendant Aquarius and I can’t stand the feeling of wearing gloves unless I absolutely must to keep my hands from freezing off but they drive me crazy the whole time. And I love rings but it’s very hard for me to get used to wearing one and often I end up having to take it off, as well.

Day to day wear a very, very small pair of hoops. No other stuff unless there is a specific outfit involved for special occassions and such.

Day to day I’d be puttin on and taking off forever as need to use my hands for my work. And then a necklace? Uh, no, not if I’m sweating. I’d probably hang myself with it first.

Ex gave me a pair of diamond stud earrings once. For all the crap I’d been through they just weren’t quite bit enough, ya know? Gave them to my G.D.and they fit her size perfectly…. Think she was about four then?

Oops! There she went! Did you see that slight flash of light? Had ta sorta squint with one eye but think she had diamond earrings on.

Uranus reminds me of diamonds so if you have Uranus in your chart, make sure the “flash of light” diamonds are big enough, yeah? Or don’t bother…

Yes I totally get this too! But no significant aqua action in my chart.
I NEVER wear jewellery (oh except maybe a cute brooch now and then). Rings make me feel itchy and I can’t wait to get them off. Maybe the total lack of adornment is because of the capricorn ascendant thing?…

totally relate to this; i’m aqua sun and moon, and i never wear jewellery except for a very simple silver ring in the shape of those candy teeth. it comes off as soon as i get home.

thing is, i studied gold & silversmithing and was a jeweller for years, but never wore the stuff. people used to find that incomprehensible.

love jewellery but i’m scared i’ll lose it through excessive fidgeting or absent-mindedly taking it off and leaving it lying around. or else i feel over dressed wearing it.

so i got a bracelet tattooed just over 10 years ago. perfect solution!

Double aqua, obsessed with rings for as long as I an remember. I used to have reoccuring dreams of finding hundreds of rings, each one more exquisit than the last.
I used to have big chunky silver rings on every finger as a teenager, eagles, symbols, crystals, you name it! But now I can’t seem to wear them. Don’t really know why.

I love rings but it’s only been in the last few years that I’m able to afford nice rings. Still cheap compared to Cartier. I do take them off to sleep. Gloves like to look at & have quite a few hats functional work ones mainly.

This is so spot on. Ive got Ascendant, Merc and Venus in Aqua. Especially hate anything around my neck. Wear watch to work only. Have one white gold bangle, some crystal, diamond and gemstone earrings that I only wear ‘out’. Love my Labradorite knuckle duster – all of the above come off asap as I get home. Only thing I leave on all the time are gold sleeper earrings that I have worn since I was 13. Its strange because I am drawn to beautiful jewellry but cannot wear it for any length of time. But Mars is in Taurus.

Aqua Sun , that rings true Mystic, (sorry). I love jewellery and I wear rings to work bit breath a big sigh of relief when I take them off at night. My black onyx, silver ring is the only one I can wear for a while and it feels ok. I have a gorgeous gold wedding ring from my pateral grandmother’s side, about 150 years old. Maybe it’s all the energy in it from years past but it makes my heart beat so fast when I wear it, I get really aggitated.
Gorgeous black onyx necklace is the same, makes me feel almost too protected and choked. bugger.

I can barely wear rings. I generally don’t. They MUST come off the minute I come home. I used to wear watches, I had a collection, I gave them up a couple of years ago. I’m not sure why I gave them up but I still feel no urge to wear them. I love earrings and get genuinely annoyed if I forget to put them on in the morning. I only have Chiron in Aquarius.

Aqua all over and don’t do rings. I co-ordinate my earings and necklace every morning though and can do simple things. as a Leo I love being adorned but have always been accessory challenged eg the whole bag shoes belt jewellry thing.
But feel naked without earings on yet bangles make me fidget.
Not a true true leo I know – way too much aqua.

All I have in Aquarius is my Saturn, but I can’t wear rings either, although I have lots. I can’t wear chokers, belts or tight waistbands for the same reason – and a corset would, alas, be out of the question.
