Alright, hands up who missed me and I have a new theory re the Kataka Moon…It’s in Kataka until this arvo when it zooms into Leo, btw. London, New York, L.A etc all wake UP with the Moon in Leo…A big flick of the hair, some grandiose affirmations and WHAM: Life As Art.
Anyway, with this Crabby Moon, my theory is that you feel ratty and/or neurotic (crabby!) during the Cancerian Moon IF you don’t self-nurture. So those of you that caned it – including me – on the weekend when you should have been lying in bed reading soothing poetry, snorting lavender oil and listening to dolphiny music will totally have found it hard to sleep, due to fretful ‘lower Crab’ freakouts. It’s just a theory.
Yes? No?

Sooooooooooooooooo Happy to have you back!!! We are so lucky and oh so spoiled!!
You’re awesome Mystic!
-
Yesterday (Saturday, L.A. time), I took the whole day off from any and all chores and did nothing but play on line and watch the telly. Also took a nap. Today feel grand as up at 5 and got laundry done early and made me and Mom a real special breakfast.
Now off to the pool for some luscious sun rays as we not as hot here now….only 80-90f. Very Leonine, don’t you think?
-
I missed you, too.
I had a sooky la la weekend – even though I did lots of Kataka/homebody activitities. And couldn’t sleep last night!
-
So lovely to have you back.
I spent yesterday tidying, cleaning, baking indulgent soul-food, arranging fresh-cut tulips AND burning incense and I still slept terribly? -
ah, mystic, you are back. all is well with my world again
lovely to have you online again. -
and so good to hear that you had a fabulous time.
-
wb mystic. i was starting to feel like I was getting swept down river without you around to anchor me.
I had a full-on carb fest weekend, thank you very much cancer moon. I put back on the 4 kilos that the diet doctor (Ian Marber) had helped me to shift in the week before.
Oh and BTW that new shoe shop is now open in Newtown – the barefoot shoe place. It opened on Sat in that lovely rain. The shop guy is dishy too. But had the BF with me so could not even flirt.
-
I missed you and yes, and this Cancerian moon was fucked
( -
In most ways, that count, this weekend was great. I had S1 and S2 Sagg’s for company…and they were both just lovely…then I spent the afternoon trying to tussle with an unfamilar design program at Uni…it’s basic, but my brain was making it complicated.
I slept like a log…and it’s great to have you back Mystic. That black dress looked great on TV and you were terrific.
-
OMG YES to answer your question Mystic. Lower crab indeed. Run-in with toro. gah. totally messed my schedule of organising self and next day’s activities.
-
I missed you!
-
Is it the fault of the Cancer moon? Went to sleep around 4.30 this morning (no not even having fun- having insomnia)…feel particularly crabby now, that’s for sure…
-
i hid under my just in case of emergency ‘cant handle people’ rock.
you rocked the 9am show Mystic! now how are we going to get you to Perth in person I wonder…hehe
i think most of us were going a little stir whacky without your insights and beautifully chosen visuals. they’ve become my routine morning pick me up. and now with your brief absence I appreciate them even more!
-
yeahhhh to the Mystic Perth show!
lol@ “can’t handle people” rock – I want one!
-
-
Haha, here I am at midnight UK time reading yr blog after spending literally the entire weekend travelling & then partying til dawn. I quite liked the Crabbiness though, it was special! Brought some special moments of closeness in friendships.
Ditto ‘aquaphobe’. Missed you so much!!
-
Is that why I’ve felt so crappy?? Crept in late yesterday arvo early evening, had a shit nights sleep, horrid dreams, woke up needing one o’ them “can’t handle people” rocks that my fellow Perthian aquaphobe’s hiding under. tehe … a bummer tho when the person you can’t handle is yourself hey?! AND I spent the weekend self nurturing (sorta). Mind you I never enjoy anything being in Cancer and I AM a Cancer. Perhaps a Cancer in denial. I prefer stuff in fire and earth signs. I get off on anything being in Leo or Virgo … Scorpio’s good too for some reason that I can’t think of right now.
Oh and Welcome Back Mystic We Missed Ya!!
-
I’ve been having dreams with dance routines…and people in dishevelled tuxedos singing counterpoint songs about love and loss…maybe my leo sun is just extra boisterous…
-
see Leo’s even get the good dreams!
I won’t even repeat the gobblygook that went on in mine, Freud would no doubt have a field day.
-
hehe… great dream LL. Definitely a Mars in Leo vibe
-
funny thing was that someone had their bow tie too tidy not quite dishevelled enough…it was a bit precision dishevelled and I remember noting it and thinking aww sweet a Virgo dancer…
-
nothing more alluring than precision dishevellment… *sigh*
-
lol … I was helping the Virgo client-next-door-neighbour friend set up his new dining table and he had a tape measure out to measure all the corners and the distance between the rug and the wall, and the table and the rug and the wall … to make sure everything was perfectly aligned mind you. I just stood their gwaffing at him. Virgos. Bless.
-
Hehe… that is SO cute!! Be still my beating heart…

Missed you heaps darling Myst, as kids have school hols have had no time for lavender baths or coffee enemas etc. in fact kataka wife decided to invite about 20 different people to the house this weekend. Funny thing though was some came over and just crashed on the couch, like really crashed. Happy little kataka was busy tucking in blankies, making cammy tea and talking about the hippeastrums starting to sprout, she was right in her element. She always takes it as a compliment when people fall asleep at our house ?
-
Me too David, I take it as a compliment because if one falls asleep at mine, they really feel ‘at home’. Definitely a Kataka thing!
)-
That was me…
-
-
-
both hands up! and ditto to what nat said. xx
I love Moon in Kataka (plus it’s my natal placement conjunct other good stuff). It’s in my fifth house and I had a very social weekend with kids and friends over all weekend. One of them even spent 2 hours on Sat arvo cleaning the outside of my house and all my decks for me as i hadn’t got to it after those dust storms (have huge wraparound verandahs over half the size of house so feels like we got a whole new living space again). I had been making heaps of great salads and yummy things for kids early on Sat and after the cleaning had a BBQ dinner and sat around for hours talking into the night while the children ran amuck outside and in. Sunday same – unplanned good friends dropping in and drinking tea for hours chatting. My American GF recently returned from a quick visit to US to see her mum and she bought me back CD book of the “In the House of the Riddle Mother” by Clarissa Pinkola-Estes (author of Women Who Run with the Wolves). It’s about the most common archetypal motifs in women’s dreams and it’s read by the Clarissa herself! So going to put it on iPhone and listen as I go for my walks or at the gym.
And I feel fabulous today – made cakes for tuckshop and had parent teacher interview early this morning. Somehow after all that the house is spic – yah for Moon in Cancer!
-
FF what a fantastic gift…won’t that illuminate the walks brilliantly?
-
Tis brilliant LL – have been listening to the first CD this morning – she has an amazing voice too.
-
your in a great mood today dearest FF, have you been getting some lately or what ?
-
You are very intuitive today david! sshh – i may have 1 or 2 love interests in the air at the moment. Tis funny, i was so focussed on 1 that i only realised later how much 2 was into me in a kind and quiet way. 1 is too young but fascinates me – physically and mentally. They are both Sag rising – 1 Aqua and 2 a Cap – i have both their astro deets. Mr Sag/Cap (who is older for a change) and i have very compatible charts. Curiously I have found the best massage therapist and she too has Sag rising. Not sure what it means 3 Sag rising people coming into my life at the same time??
-
I read that in my head as you whispering FF then realized, “why am I whispering in my head”?
Oh yeah, you told us to shush. “Shush” in Farsi means to go pee…
lol
Ew, you go girl though…
-
Wonder what Jupiter is doing in your chart with all those Sagg folks. Also, my descendant ruled by Sagg and ex husband’s Jupiter was on my Aries Sun. Never married since….
-
Not sure Sweetpea, but can see some connections: My MC/10th is in Sag though. Jupiter is currently trans my 12th house and will cross Asc and into first early next year (yah). Also 2 of the 3 Sag risings have Neptune on Asc – Neptune and Jupiter are my chart rulers. Mr Cap’s Moon conj Uranus is conj my Sun in Leo, which is trine his Mars in Sag. My Gem/Crab Venus/NN/Vertex/Mars and Moon trines his Libra/Scorp Jupiter/Neptune/NN/ and Psyche. My Psyche conj his Venus. His Pluto conj my DC and I have Uranus/Hecate/Merc/Pluto/Dionysus and Sappho in Virgo in the 7th. And we both have Sat conj Asc.
-
-
-
-
you’ve got the Crab moon nailed FF!!!! I suq at all that nurturing of others business. I’m like, yeah here’s your cake and coffee now buzz off. *chuckle*
-
Like i said elsewhere prowlin, have nothing squaring or opposing my Kataka planets natally except POF in Aries. Think having natal Crab Moon helps too. POF in 2nd house square Crab Mars manifested in that I spent heaps (too much) on food and drink this w/e – i’ve just realised after Mystic’s POF post!
-
-
-
with 4 planets conj in early cancer and north node at the tail end, I really felt especially crabby..and hardly slept last night. Glad you had a great time away and glad you’re back.
-
*hands up* *hands up*
I went home to mummy’s house and got fed comfort food last night. Slept like a lamby in heaven! BUT, I had a big Friday night, a HUGE Saturday day, and then an ‘event’ at home Sunday morning…. Wasn’t crabby – but I did a reality check with a friend Saturday night… So I’m guessing I was her ‘crabby’ factor… Cos she was VERY ‘restrained’ with me Sunday morning after I popped her bubble…
-
YES… to both queries Mystic
-
Yep slept bad – must nurture more when the planets suggest this
-
Got a huge amount of very necessary study for looming exams done on the weekend – at the expense of all things normal (sleep, relaxing weekend time, food, friends). This would usually create fabulous self-satisfaction, but instead have woken up in the crabbiest mood! Somewhat mollified to (a) see you’re back – yay! and (2) read an explanation. Thanks!
-
MISSED YOU Mystic!
i have been feeling completely disjointed from my astro reality (even with the wonderful Kim F’s groovy dailies).
cancer moon eh? that explains alot. but actually i had a great weekend, lots of quality time with nearest and dearest, and quite a bit of bunkering down learning the intricacies of Law of attraction stuff.
feel like all of this (these last few weeks) is just one giant build up to a) jupiter direct, b) mars into Leo and c) Saturn into Lib. feel like at a massive turning point (again)xx
-
Yaya yay mystic is back in the house!! Hope you had a fun week chicki!!
Total binge of chocolate weekend, pottering around the house. I certainly know how to do the cancerian moon with a sun-venus-sappho in cancer…
Be nice to have the leo moon though…a bit of ooomph….for me and my mane..
I saw you on 9am show mystic…You were fabulous darling. Just fabulous!!! -
yes we missed you!
and yes i totally spazzed out on the weekend. better now though.
-
My pisces partner was tossing & turning from 4am onwards…& yes we may have been guzzling down the red wine the night before…resulting in a pair of extra vagued pisces with a dash of cranky… I knew I should have been looking after myself too…that little voice inside told me numerous times….why do I so rarely listen?
-
ahhhh…mallow…the leetle voice inside is ALWAYS right…i learnt the hard way and now obey, yet still sometimes test it
-
-
Hands up!!
And OMG yes. All I needed this weekend was to veg out with low IQ things to do and mainline epsom salt baths after the most frenetic two weeks, but I had plans on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday that I absolutely could not get out of.
I was cranky and totally crabby and drank too much to try to get me in the socialising mood. Grrrr, equals next day crankiness too, stop the mad cycle!
-
Two hands up!! So glad you’re back MM. I love learning new astro-stuff every day from you.
I have been procrastinating starting a new excercise routine. I will have to do it now I guess..
The funny thing is, nurturing is eating well, excercising etc. but so is NOT doing horrid sit-ups. Maybe this is my Cancer moon dilemma. (That’s highlights a larger dilemma no doubt).
-
Wow, I had such a shit night’s sleep too, thought I was getting a cold and now I feel terrible! I don’t think it is a cold, just lack of sleep making me feel crappy.
Sounds like the theory is being proven! I’m off to sleep too, until the Leo moon and then I’m going to cane through my day’s work in just 4 hours thanks to the extra powers of living by the moon!
-
Welcome back Mystic! I loved what you said to that bloke on TV about looking like a poddy calf LOL! He did!
I’ve been sleeping & resting because of recent events and workload I did finally conk out this weekend. after fighting off a nasty cold & cold sore. It was last week working away, staying in a old manse that was haunted by a man & his dog that I had little sleep.
-
Interesting about the hauntings Savannah. On the new moon in Virgo late last month, had a spirit in my bedroom. Was quite frightening but did work on it and all feels clear now. I have staved off wine for the most part. Just not good to weaken my energies like that esp. when New Moon and Saturn were square to my Mars-Asc. Was oblivious to the astro set up.
-
-
Haven’t had a worse night sleep in ages, even sag husband who is closed to anything esoteric said, “Something big happened last night didn’t it.” Yes but I dunno what. Wouldn’t be surprised if a bomb was tested somewhere or an earthquake but today I’ve heard nothing remarkable.
-
I finally managed to print out the assignment I needed to hand in today…(which was out of proportion hard to do) and then as I do ended up being able to help someone else do same…after I stopped bought a book about managing difficult people(saw a few of my own behaviour in there straight off) and had coffee in the sun…that an a strategic text message to my lecturer and voila…good to go.
-
Mystic, I *really* missed you. Was bloody lost all last week, had a shocker. I’ll have to work on this burgeoning dependence!
And yes re yr Kataka moon theory, I was crabby on le weekend and stayed in but in better shape now than Saggi sis who hit the piss!
-
Both hands up and waving maniacly.
Cancer moon was a horror fest, but …. nup can’t think of anything good about it.. sorry!
So glad you are back, you looked foxy on TV too! -
yes, and YES! welcome back MM! Ace pins on display on the 9am show btw!
dreadful night’s sleep after a weekend of (mostly) looking after self. Called in late for work, got there eventually but was all sooky la la at a training session this arv. SO not the day to be delving into self in a room full of people!
Although we were all fairly subdued, so perhaps should have been on alert for general sensitivity? Must pay attention and generalise astro beyond self!
-
Welcome back Mystic. Missed you!!!
-
Soooooooooo missed you Mystic! And am so glad the weekend self crucifiction (sic?) mode waasn’t just my imagination running wild. It was exhausting telling myself not to worry about comments said to me on Saturday afternoon – and after a meeting today and an apparent complete change of heart of the commenter, it meant I was worrying about nothing at all anyway.
AND, pissed off I couldn’t be at home to see you on TV this week!!!! Even wandered around on ‘the morning show’ website hoping to catch a glimpse of you.
so glad you are back
-
Cyber hand up

Yesterday was grim, way beyond Saturn just dour and miserable. I fell asleep on a ferry and woke up to loads of strangers gorping at me.. That didnt help the mood.. Glad to know it wasnt just me
-
Yes missed you and yes slept crabby…. good to have you home
-
Me too – hand up (^_^)
Me too – slept terribly, all bitty and dream-snatchy but not helpful at all.
Glad you’re back MM
(late late comment)
