Astro-Compatibility: Gemini & Capricorn A Go-Go

phpwyx0xcPM

Gemini & Capricorn?  If  you ever see these two out together, you’d think not.  As in the ‘no effing way’ sense of ‘not’.  But they – like Cancerians and Aquarians – are a surprisingly common ‘incompatible’ coupling. I don’t believe in Sun Sign compatibility v.deeply. As in – if the Gem has got Virgo Rising and the Cap is rocking a Leo Moon – voila, compatibility and who cares about the Suns being in stupid quincunx.

BUT it’s hilarious as they value different things. Gemini loves wit, wordplay and to feel in motion. Gemini is ludicrously non-judgemental and amoral. Cap is mega-moral and worships structure/status. They are usually tres clear and concise communicators and it’s on one level. Geminis don’t want to be bored. Capricorns don’t want to be broke. Gem prizes stimulation. Cap values peace of mind.

HOWEVER: Together these two have a lot of good sex and amass heaps of money. Also, remember that Gemini may be whimsical but the word Capricorn has links to “caprice”.  Think  of how goats are hideously serious most of the time; scaling mountains with their bare hooves and incredible balance, eating people’s laundry, butting people and looking devilish. But then they kick up their hooves and do cool goat dancing. Add to that the Capricorn link to Pan & Dionysus – chaos Gods for sure. And that the Capricorn Goat is actually a Mergoat…Yes, deep down the Capricorn (especially post-Saturn Return) out-weirds the Gemini.

Even if, it’s true, nobody is better than talking it up in party mode, than our Gem.

Mystic, I am totally at odds with understanding relationship matching with the stars – I am a pisces with a taurus rising and sagg moon – therefore, according to most matches, scorpio, cap, taurus and cancer are good for me. Ive dated many of these types and have gotten on dreadfully with them (because of sag I tend to move on VERY quickly if im done.)

you mentioned above about the rising sign and moon… is there any other general rules of thumb you can give about relationship matching, and ignoring standard old-wives sun-sign compatability advice?

Nico, you have to take your moon into consideration as well as your venus and mars. I have a moon in Sagg too – so need lots of space/freedom. Maybe a fire sign with a earth moon would work for you?

nico I’m same as you and scorpy with the sag moon. I’ve posted on this before but think the keynote for that placement is a need for emotional freedom and with gemini asc triple that need – it’s basically a need to grow to my full potential, so any relationship with someone who prefers the status quo and actually likes to be stuck in a rut tends to wear thin really quick.

It depends on your natal chart, particularly placement of the inner planets (Sun, moon, Asc, merc, venus, mars). Like I have sag moon, but can’t actually date sags as they irritate my cancer sun/venus. Can’t do scorp men even tho they are supposed to be a good sun sign match, cause their need for control and mind games in a relationship bugs the shit out of my gem asc/sag moon. I fancy Taureans like mad, but their one-way-ticket to Toroland stubborness gets right up my nose in the long term.

I go well with Leo which sparks up my feisty bits (mars, moon, asc, merc) but doesn’t annoy the sensitive cancerian zones, or Virgo which appeals to the cancerian parts and gets along with the gem asc on an intellectual level, or Pisces coz those guys are so live and let live and I have a seemingly automatic connection with them.

But you know in the long run, I have found relationships are the one area totally ruled by Law of Attraction and completely out of my sphere of direct control. The best I can do is be as authentic and true within myself and let the Law of Attraction bring people into my world who resonate with that. Get my drift …?

I looove Goats & had one as a pet, I know your not meant to ride them but I was tiny & he was so beautiful about it. He even headbutted an aunt who I wasn’t fond of. Smart Goat!

My best friend is a Goat with Ram Rising, Gem Moon, Sagg Venus & Leo Mars. I am Gem with Fish Rising, Gem Moon & Venus & Virgo Mars…
I think our relationship has strengthen & we have got much closer since Saturn has been transiting over it’s home on my Virgo 6th for the past few years. I have been more interested in health, fitness & structure whereas Goatboy has always been into that.
I am always surprised by what he does for a living as it doesn’t match his personality, or then again maybe it does as he makes truckloads of $$$. I wasn’t really aware of the Goatboy’s need to acquire $$$ & it surprised me when he talks about it on the odd occasion.
I however am non judgmental that’s true & wonder why he has his tail in a spin about stuff. Maybe I am trivial about issues he finds important but we manage to find a medium somehow. This year he has been so stressed about everything that each time I see him, he looks wrecked so I am usually feeding & watering him before he leaves to hoof it back up the mountains. Such busy little things aren’t they!

Mine is in Nov (Saturn goes into Libra) & Mystic assures me it will be a blip. Have been working my ass off since 07′ (Saturn lives in my 6th Virgo) & fingers crossed it will be smooth…

He, he….Mystic summed it up perfectly…Had fun in the moment and the next day Cap Moon was MORTIFIED. Two or three swipes too many on the debit card… Ahhh, the “cha-ching” of the slots still beckon though..She’s a siren….The lights, the bells, the chain smoking….Please Goddess, make it go away!

Meanwhile, postmodscorp stated she is going to have a glass of wine and “are we there yet?”

Yeah, we there three glasses later….Indulged tonight and stayed up way late as have been good lately. Time to go to bed

          Sweetpea dreams….

As a Cap married to a Gemini I agree. We rock together. It helps that I have heaps of aquarius and he has heaps of taurus.

God yes to Capricorns having a bit of a warped side. Every Cap I’ve known has a bit of something naughty going on in the shadows. It’s what makes them interesting. Which of course would appeal to Gemini who dance between light and dark as a norm. Ummm as a pair though? I can’t think of any Gem/Cap couples offhand but agree with Mystic that it could work with a bit of synastry on the asc, moon, venus or mars.

Gemini ex-girlfriend’s spending habits were a nightmare for this Cap. Most passionate relationship ever though. Sigh.

Yes, I always enjoy a little Gemmy sparkle in my life. Pulls my ponderous Cap Sun/Merc out of the gloom, if only because I’m always pecking around for folks with new information/ideas (Gem DSC). Doesn’t always work, though. My Gem Moon girl is sometimes WAY too much for me. Still, I see the challenge and know I need to be less curmudgeonly.

hehe that’s what I love about Gemini. It’s such a cheeky sign. I’m glad I’ve got it on the asc as all the crabacious stuff elsewhere in my chart could make me a bit of a doom and gloom merchant otherwise. Gem lightens it all up.
