The Portmeirion Tarot

portmeirion

The town of Portmeirion in Wales is said to have the Tarot cards interwoven with the architecture of the place – not so subtle in some cases & there is also a quick little online Tarot reading you can deal here, using features of the Town. It’s nifty but just for fun.

As i have said before, I think the best way to cultivate one’s divination skills is practice plus recording the results in a Book Of Shadows.

That’s pretty cool–a Tarot town. I have to agree, concerning the Book of Shadows. I’d never kept one before, but decided to after reading Mystic’s previous post on them. It might sound wacky, but it’s like my Tarot cards and I got closer (is that nuts?) after I started journaling everything. Tarot readings I’d done for myself, dreams, intuitions. It was like my cards and I were able to work more sharply and accurately together, once I started to recognize the patterns. Does that make sense?

yes……you will notice patterns after you keep a Book of Shadows for a few Moon cycles.

I could make an online tarot of my backyard…like, my hills hoist could be the ace of swords, lemon tree the nine of discs, chooks + eggs for cups etc. All those weeds 10 of swords etc. Not forgetting the wood-fire oven as ace of wands, tho I guess to be truly aussie iconic it should be a bbq.
