O how the atmosphere is intense with Pluto, Saturn, Uranus et al…Still Venus IS IN LEO and opposing (this is good and easy) Jupiter by the end of the week. This is good for adding a dipsomaniac, super-vain, self-obessive and art-fiend style vibe to the Pluto Direct dirge and end-of-era shite. Seriously.
So, in all honouring of our ability to be shallow when it is needed to balance the more sombre tones of the astro-situation, please share Hot Leo Hair Tips & do Leos honestly have the hottest hair? I have said it before and I say it now: I think the cruel irony is that Aquarius, the opposite sign to Leo and their arch-rival always have better hair.
My Hot Leo Hair Tips: Just (for when you are in Sydney) my Psychic Gemini Hairdresser – Shaz at Glitterbox 9550-2700 & Reiki-oozing acupuncturist Melinda (9565-2793) and once i tried some really naff looking vitamins called something like Hairdressers Formula & they made it seem to grow visibly. Problem: Hair on legs etc ALSO responsive to the neuropeptides or whatever was in them.

Aqua sun.
A dear Leo friend (who isn’t an emo vampire but an inspiration) said to me once…” I can always tell how your feeling by the look of your hair”. LOL!

Is the pic Lady Godiva caught in a hurricane?

Or Chewbacca’s squeeze? (A wookie centrefold)
-
Delia’s sister… the one who Delia would rather not acknowledge…this is the ‘after’ pic following an OD on the Hairdresser’s Formula nutrients…she had to go to a shearer near Ballarat to deal with her legs before visiting the waxing salon, if you know what I mean…
-
although this was the inspiration for the Hair Skirt
-
YES! Of course. (Do you think anyone has figured we don’t have any actual hair tips UP?)
-
hehe i hope not
otherwise we might get kicked off this thread!

Hot hair tips:
1. Coconut Oil, put a little in the ends, work up, sleep in it then wash out the next day. Or if you’re at the beach, leave in all day.
2. Wash every other day, not every day. I know it sounds gross but you’ll get used to it and your hair will look fabulous – three days is best but hard to do.
3. Infusium 23 – this stuff is great and inexpensive. Drench your hair and sleep in it, wash out the next day. Also great for taking some color out if your hair came out too dark, very subtle and not damaging at all. Just do it every night until you get the shade you want.
4. Aveda Brilliant Emollient Finishing Gloss – If your hair is really damaged, this will make it look like it isn’t. I have really long hair and only need one small drop. Start application at ends not roots.
5. If you hair is long enough, twist it in a knot on top of your head and sleep in it, you’ll have tons of body the next day.
6. Quick cut if you’re broke: get hair sopping wet, flip upside down (top of your head exactly even with the floor), comb hair very well with fine tooth comb and cut a straight line across, It will give you a nice layered cut!
-
Love it, all these tips are awesome, i especially like the cutting trick, i’m going to try it tonight…
-
Just cut a little bit at first – you can always cut more! And use really sharp scissors
-
-
love the coconut oil tip….smells luscious too
-
-
I have baby-fine blonde hair that’s actually looks much healthier when lightened. Colour is your friend.
I’m a big believer in swimming in saltwater for your skin – not so much for hair. Consequently, I use lots of hair masks or coconut oil or that monoi miracle oil from the Body Shop are fab.
-
You know horses can be a little hair orientated, the tail & mane & grooming aspects:)
If i had hair as in the pix…i would rule the world!
My darling bestie of ‘god made us sistas but prozac made us friends’ of 40 years has been
cussing for absolutely eons about a King’s Cross hairdresser she swears was jealous of
her bighuge hair. Always had blonde streaks added but this time they were burned off.
Leo friend claims it has never been the same since. Something was permanently destroyed.
She gave up & from then on did it herself, much to my annoyance.
When Warren Beaty Julie Christie made hairdressers hot in ‘Shampoo’, so they came to your
door in a Mercedes with the blowdryer in their hip pocket, she changed her mind:)Am using a hair salon only product for thickening as in making it regrow, not applied volume, called
Nioxin, it surely works as today only after 9 months use, i had a supergood hair vibe as to it resumed
thickness……It’s baby fine & has to be short as OR at least to shoulder to manage it well.
It’s on it’s way down my back and as a true horse love to swish it ‘n swing it.
Detest windy days, has to be up or endure it around my face. No lip gloss allowed.
Laugh:)
In all of this it’s great to have a good hair day, doncha think:/ -
Was so annoyed because for god’s sake she’s a LEO, i felt her pain:)
-
As a Leo, i have to agree Mystic,
i am always jealous of my two aquarius friends hair… it’s the air that moves through it i reckon. -
Yes, Leo’s & Champagne, bless their big hearts.
-
Am blessed with my hair – from my Cancer mum – but am Aqua with Leo moon which possibly helps. Get lots of compliments even when I think it looks utterly shite.
Salt water is my best hair tip because I love the way my hair dries with salt water in it. Salon imitations not the same.
As a brunette, rosemary oil is delish or rosemary infusion – but must always be the real deal. Apparently chamomile is the equivalent for blondes.
-
I am Aqua sun Leo moon and hair has always been a great love of mine.
For very fine hair like my own, keeping it as healthy as possible makes it look fuller and gives it more body. I have found cutting caffiene from diet helps as does cutting down – not out if you don’t want to – on booze. Eating lots of fruits and veges and fish oils. Oh and zinc powder made my hair look super full.
If growing it out, a great cut will help it look fab when going through all the stages. Even if it costs, it’s worth it. always get a cut that suits your natural skin tones and face shape, no fads if they don’t suit.
A tip from stylist to the stars says only use finger tips when scrubbing shampoo, as hair gets stressed easily. Also, rinse, rinse, rinse hair while washing so no residue remains. Finish off with a burst of cold water to close the cutiles.
-
And COLOUR to suit your skin tone…not cut!! hehe that was me above.
-
aqua sun, aqua rising and leo moon ~ got my hair from my dad and lucky for me, he has lush, black, thick hair which is still jet blue-black.
having ‘victoria secret’ hair has its perks, sure……..but it usually takes a lot of thermal spray, ghd wrist action and patience.
a mason pearson hairbrush is money well spent and a must.
-
That IS some hair you have AquaGirl, what gloss!
Denman brushes are excellent too.
Zinc powder, now that’s a newie, i need all the volume i can buy.
Great tips & most appreciated. -
why, thank you pegasus!
never been really precious with my hair but since i can grow it to my waist ~ i thought i should invest in a decent hairbrush.
i really don’t do anything special – i watch my nutrition closely but to tell you the truth, don’t really notice a difference with the fish oils, avocado, vit E and nuts
, but i do dry naturally any chance i can and don’t expose to unnecessarily long periods in the sun.-
You are most welcome, the 3 C’s here seem to always be Courtesy Communication Compliments
and Creativity.
And i can’t count:)

I don’t like the #4 as well.
Someone make it 5?-
coquette-ish-ness ???
curiosity ?

CAMADARIE is the one!
Courtesy, Communication, Compliments, Creativity & Camadarie.
The 5 C’s c/o MM:)

Hmmm two things … I am a Gemini with a lion-like main of curly blonde hair .. yet today I slicked it back in a French roll.
And .. speaking of leg hair, today I was so obsessed with getting rid of my body hair that I begged to be squeezed in at my usual natural beauty clinic … and when they wern’t able to fit me in for long enough to attend to la bikiniline for another week … I called every beauty outlet in Paddington seeking an emergency brazilian! -
Although I can’t live without my Alchemy Avocado and Calendula conditioner (which smells like raw incense), and an occasional soak in Rosehip Oil… I reckon the internals are just as important for silky locks.
Fish / Flaxseed oil, zinc supplement, burdock root tea if hair/scalp is dry, and for the super keen, a once in a while burst of silica (the drinkable colloidal gel) for extra strength and thickness…-
I’ve just stared using flaxseed oil as a spread on my toast instead of butter – not bad! Ewww silica is vile to drink – I got sucked in to buying it & didn’t last long….grosserama
-
lex, put it in a smoothie, you won’t notice it then..i chuck everything in brekky smoothies, flaxseed oil, acidophilus supplements, LSA, protein, fibre, silica, oh yeah and fruit, soy, water, whatever is around at the time
-
i haven’t made a smoothie in over a decade! Great tip! Thanks UP
-
-
-
A Brazillian as emergency treatment……..mmmmmm
guess we know what you were expecting your Lover:)
Lucky you or maybe a determined against all the odds Aries Rising. -
My hair is fairly invincible but I like silica too, it totally strengthened my nails. Can’t do without zinc.

Well Leo sun and Fish rising with Sat conj here and i have finally realised i have fabulous hair. Thick, curly to frizz depending on humidity and have for past 7 years straightened it to an inch of its’ life. Lately with Saturn/Uranus trans opp Sat/Uranus natal and Pluto opp to Venus/NN/Vertex/Mars have been doing the curls cos i am so exhausted from the shit in my life that i just don’t have the time for straightening (in random Brisvegus weather that could mean 3x/day). Curiously using Curls Rock product (controls frizz) and finding i love my curls for the first time in my life!! Is that Uranian or trans Pluto opp Venus? Have noticed more looks and compliments re hair and i reckon it makes me look younger or maybe it’s just the contrast from controlled straightening to wild curls
Don’t care cause it’s way less maintenance.True re Leo’s and colour – always 2 or 3 shades of blonde (but blonde genes – only natural!) But not a regular champers sipper though not impartial to a fine chardy.
-
Actually just realised my 11 year old Aqua girl has thick gorgeous non frizz brunette with golden/red highlights hair naturally. Its long and gorgeous so maybe that’s true Mystic about Aquas having the best hair. Me Leo have had love/HATE relationship with my hair since i was 10 and got a “lioness” cut that turned it into frizz which i then tried to control with hats and bobby pins
She loves Bella in Twilight and she has Bella hair but better and she knows it
-
With fish sun and leo rising and sat conj I too have untamed thick frizzy curly hair which I have always hated, and used to iron my fringe on the ironing board when at school. Never able to straighten it though. Spent $250 American dollars to have my hair straigtened for my wedding and was told it would last 2 weeks but it didn’t make it to the end of the night. Anyway, I have had the feeling lately that I love my curls too, and my hair actually looks great for a change (despite few grey hairs in centre part).

I love this so much i am printing them all out to read in bed while i lie there with my sent-ova-from-new-york-but-prob-available-here-if-i-use-my-dumb-blonde-brain-hair-masque.
But i love this…my only hair tip is that i religiously go to my hair lady and that i tell her things and trust her + that when i am in love, my hair is amazing.
As my marriage went off, i was saying “everything is FINE! HOW LUCKY AM I?
but my hair was increasingly fucked and now i see it as an indicator.
HELLO? This should be official. We have weather. Why not hair weather?-
I’ve been spoilt with long tressses with little effort spring into action.
years ago bothered with high maintenance, requiring reg cut to style for shape, much blow-drying & tortured hair colouring. that was post perm circa cyndi lauper, & went on so long ‘low maintain’ was destined to come into vogue. and stay!!
Paul Mitchell – Detangler, saves shedding wads at wash time.
Washing now once per week according to how the various inventive braids / pony tails have evolved.rarely blow dry, or these days, cut.
if in town, stylists who do celeb red carpet work get their hands on me coupla times a year, haircut in my kitchen, dyed one shade off black & voila. outside that a mate comes over & sharpens it up.with bestie in Chemo & mother / another gfrnd with long term Alopecia I value my hair……Taura sis once spontantiously shaved hers off redusing mother to tears. both for the lost locks & the flooding memories of her as a baby. she looked HOT!!
-
hah – not sure how I posted this here – late for something no doubt!!
anyways………….-
I’d always imagined you as a blonde rockstar lovely…. not sure why.
-
feelers – aqua girl & I could hair double each other!!
Blonde days are long gone – in 80’s was a blonde with a red BMW tehehehehe. then the blonde skunk stripe lasted almost a decade – blonde into blue / pink etc according to prevailing skate punk phase….. low maintenance from here on in tho!!
-
-
-
-
-
‘Problem: Hair on legs etc ALSO responsive to the neuropeptides or whatever was in them.’ HOOOOT!!!
I love your blog. Won’t you consider Twitter?
-
few of us segued to Twitter – Mystic included.
journo mate rightly coined Twitter as the G.T.W – global time waster ………..
-
-
aqua. good hair. though bottle blonde. keep it simple. dont spend hours messing with it. you see any famous aqua except mia, and they all have long hair. we get a good colourist if we have to change the hue…don’t cut it as often as others….
and strangely enough, my former housemate…a lioness….who can manipulate her hair into fastidious bunned perfection…suddenly started getting blonde streaks after I moved in. bad hue for her….still has rigid hair…but perfectly rigid. -
Leos have stunning manes, period.
Whether you consider a “mane” the “best hair” is another question….
I have an electric auburn mane of curly tendrils that reaches to my waist, when the tendrils are pulled straight. It’s taken years to learn to manage my mane and not fight it into a frizzy dry disaster.
Tips:
1. Know thy own mane;
2. Clips and pins and clamps won’t hold a Leo mane, but braids will because the mane restrains itself;
3. Never overwash, twice a week is plenty;
4. Avoid products with alcohol as one of the first three ingredients;
5. Condition, condition, condition;
6. Never ever comb except with fingers;
7. Dabbles of jojoba oil after daily conditioning adds gloss, protects from elements, adds shine, absorbs quickly and prevents frizz.
8. Know thy own mane.
-
2 is so true…….
I only know bald Aquariuns (both male) – oh, and one with a mohawk (female)
FYI My sis has hair like the girl in the photo and she is a Scorpio
-
The man I yearn for is a young Aqua who meticulously shaves his beautiful bald head most days ….

My 60 yo Mother is a spikey red haired Aqua too … she highlights the grey with bright red Henna and it looks fab!
-
-
My Leo bf has better hair than I do….thick, black, glossy, grows like a week.
But then my Aqua mom had the best mane of her 2 sisters…a Leo and a Gem. She was also the tallest, the most beautiful, with the best body! I’m inclined to think that Aquas ARE the most physically blessed. Every Aqua woman I know is a classic beauty. And usually tall too!
-
tall ain’t good…lemme tell ya…especially if you tend to fall for stature restricted gemini’s
-
Aqua sun, leo rising. Heaps of wavy long brunette hair that requires little upkeep except for some flipping for volume.
And, while not a beauty, I am tall, and re the sports post earlier, a martial arts could-be fanatic. Uncanny attraction to sags and those born on the cusp of Scorpio.
-
Also, do sag men seem to lose hair earlier than most?
-
-
i love hair. love love love. I almost became a hairdresser when i was 19. Now I am just my own personal hairdresser. Rarely go to the ‘trained’ ones, they nearly always eff it up. I have luxurious thick hair, great to do anything with…
I change hair colour every season. Bright red, deep mahogony, strawb blonde (natural), orangey. Always red tones. Going blonde from bright red these past few weeks and regrowing from late fifties/punk to dusty springfield french roll beehive – Pats!. Next will be long again probably stay blonde for a while.
I love hair, been having terrible self esteem issues while growing it, but seem to have found new ‘pretty’ look – I have a noggen like fellow aries Sarah Jessica Parker, all mannish features, so have to be very careful or look like midget drag queen…which is sometimes suitable of itself, but not always.
Mix ground contraceptive pill with leave in conditioner, supposedly the hormones increase growth speed. Also silica.
-
“midget drag queen”…can see it now, just make it ‘Brazilian midget drag queen” and we have a new porn genre..
-
Leo rising here, I have some seriously thick hair, it literally looks like a Lion’s mane, everyone’s always telling me how thick my hair is, it curves around my ears like it wants to circle around my head. That’s okay, it brings more attention to my face, which is great.
