5pm to 7pm is the Chinese Hour of the Rooster. Rooster peeps (born in the Chinese Year of the Rooster) are shrewd, boastful, cocksure, lucky, energetic and horny. How appropriate that these hours are also usually the so-called Happy Hour. It’s also known as the Year of the Cock, although i have run into probs with this during discussions of Chinese astro. It’s easier to say Rooster – just as Uranus is pronounced U-RARR-Nuss for a reason. So as one’s metaphysical rantings do not become sidetracked.

I just mentioned in the louche stream, Shane Warne was born in the year of the cock. I imagine cock hour was any hour for him. Then again, he would have been big on snake hour, pig hour, bull hour and rat hour for that matter.
-
tis a pity there isn’t an ‘idiot’ hour, really…
-
but just think of the great service he is offering to society in regards the serious and concerning male balding issue… maybe he’ll receive an OBE “for services to insecure bald men”.
-
HAHAHAHA… too funny Übes.

5-7pm…also known as the witching hour, babies are bound to go off, dinner stress is rife, I often breathe a sigh of relief at 7 as the energy seems to drop. So I guess this means 7-9 is dog hour?
-
doesn’t the monkey come after the rooster in chinese astro? Could not call breathe a sigh of relief the “dog hour” – ie- my ex-hb was chinese dog, not relaxing in any sense, Appreciate Monkey intellect and trickery anyday over Dog.
-
Isn’t Rooster after Monkey? I’m a Goat (79) many of my friends are Monkeys (80) and Roosters (81)….. guessing the hours would be the same?
I love Rooster hour – its when I’m all active, get heaps done, spark right up, then at 7, I’m set, dinners cooking, news is on, often a wine in hand, and I can chillax

NICE avatar ss.

Thanks peeps, about time hey!! I finally figured it out. Was about to change it to sweet insanity…more apt, but didn’t want to come across as one of those dodgy name changing types x x

sanity is so much sweeter, due to its rarity

I think someone’s reading my mind because only yesterday I had a play with Chinese Astro. I’m a Rooster and Alpha Tauri’s a Snake and we’re suppsedly the dynamic duo. I’m a wood Rooster so not so cocky
When we were talking last night he chortled and made the trouser snake comment.-
and I laughed when I read that that time is supposed to be my happy hour. With five kids, you can imagine what those hours has been like in the past and even now it seems to be my busiest time.

heeheheheh. She said “cock”.
sorry i had to do it.

Sagg daughter has been promoted at her paper palace place and while she has bought many stylish cards has also recently brought in a card with a po faced woman standing in front of a store front with a large sign written COCK…not subtle, but visually enough to raise a smile.
-
A saying i heard once: Stocks up Cocks up!
Guess the Wall St Men are limping a bit nowadays.-
-
Yes, Pegs, impotency prevails…
Pig myself….(not in the stock market….) but Chinese astro wise.
My sister, a rooster and also an Aries, Leo rising with Pluto in 1st…a royal pain, because well, she thinks she’s royal….Chesh, you and TA are dears… I’m not rooster bigoted…`

I’m a Sagg & a Rooster. I do often go off half-cocked, even tho I’m a girl.
I think the Sagg-Rooster combo is quite apt.
Also, I do get an energy boost about 5pm-7pm, but maybe that just coincides with getting away from work.

” I do often go off half-cocked, even tho I’m a girl.”
He,he…
You sound a little like Annie Oakly dahlin’ from the wil’ wil’ west…
You just go on half cocked, quarter cocked or whatever cocked you choose but be careful with that pistol dahlin ‘..

well I’ll be….
My daughter Stella’s 3 kindy chooks got done by the Fox last weekend ; they were housed at my folks across the way and well… spent the last few days armourguarding an idle chook tractor and tracked down a breeder of these stunning lavender araucanas. A South american fowl that lay blue eggs.Turned out one of 3 local breedersin the state lives down the road and I was meant to go ‘chooking’ with Stella at 4 yesterday to collect 2 hens.
Of Course we were an hour late and ended up taking pity on a tailless ROOSTER who had been picked on…
I’d love to know why I was so late??The Chinese have got such a swing on things in such a Goethean way I reckon.
So it goes.
