Let me clarify the query: You are having a Seance & have somehow managed to be assured of a top-notch guest list. The presence of ONE passed on A-lister is guaranteed…Whom would you choose??? Mine would be the surrealist writer & film director Luis Bunuel. His autobiography My Last Sigh is one of my all-time fave reads.
He was Sun Sign Pisces with Neptune Rising in Gemini. Neptune Rising or otherwise prominent is so often found in the charts of great & influential cinema luminaries. It is also the astro-signature of a mystical and artistic calling. His Mercury in Pisces squared Pluto in Gemini; hence ability & compulsion to go sex-death-occult muckraking in a way that revolutionised movies. Uranus, Jupiter and North Node conjunct in Saggo/6th House. So, 6th House being what you do for ‘a living’ and to serve society he was destined to innovate it somewhat. If one is gonna get all karma-goo-goo over this, his 12th House South Node would indicate a sage who had reincarnated with the specific purpose of advancing society. His Mars in Aquarius (more iconclasm) is conjunct the Midheaven (drive to fame) and trine Neptune (he liked to get out of it but productively so)…
In April 2011 Neptune crosses Luis Bunuel’s Midheaven and what’s the bet there will be some interesting secrets or new work of his discovered?
Anyway, whom would YOU invite?

Do you find him kissable Mystic? he,he. Those lips look kissable and the ears just big enough to tweak…
Just joking. Don’t know off hand who I would ask to a seance. Haven’t been to too many recently
Will give it a thought… -
Mine will most certainly be Ms. Angelina Jolie! besides obvious reasons, she is a gemini which i know to be one of the best matches with Saggo’s!
Matt
xx lol-
Matt I think the pre-requisite is that the A-lister has passed on
-
-
Elvis, thank you very much.. (although I did see him at Aldi once in Maroubra Junction), hmmmm…
-
I suppose he was stocking up on peanut butter.
-
-
I think Jesus would be the obvious choice! So many questions …
-
I too was thinking of someone enlightened but then Mystic asked for an A lister and I’m assuming entertainment wise? In that case, don’t know who I would want to talk to…
-
well heck I dunno about you but I count countless millions of followers as pretty A List .. LOL!
-
I agree if I understand you right about Jesus. But is Mystic talking about entertainment or any A list person? Perhaps I misunderstood. In that case, of course I’d rather have someone evolved than not….
-
-
-
He doesn’t speak english though and his answers to questions would be so enigmatic..
-
-
I was thinking Mata Hari…
-
Beethoven?
-
lol – he would def bang on the table
-
he wouldn’t hear you
-
-
Catalina of Aragon, Henry the VIII first wife. She was so strong willed and powerful, no matter what he through at her, and she never wavered from her faith and beliefs no matter what. I could learn a lot from her

That’s one of my favourite books too, Myst, and this photo lived on my wall(s) for many years. Don’t like his films though, but the thought processes involved are genius, much more interesting than the superstar of the movement, Salvador Dali.
Seance guest: Johann Sebastian Bach, towering musical genius, deeply and weirdly religious thinker, father of too many children to count, surely a great conversationalist with a lot of interesting ideas…
-
Good questioon! Although not a huge fan of his work, I agree that Luis Bunuel would be really interesting to have a conversation with at a seance.
Does Shakespeare count as an A lister? Either him, Edgar Allen Poe, silent film star Clara Bow or Alfred Hitchcock.
-
F Scott Fitzgerald. What would he make of today’s world? How did he feel about dying so young?
-
what a hard life he chose

Interesting that the age is 36.9. Too bad about John Bonham as well. He was my brother’s fave drummer.
Guess MJ made it to fifty perhaps as he was not rock, but then not sloppy as being Virgo did the clean cut anesthesia intraveneoulsly.
-
my sisters band supported the Plant & Page tour (my night with Jimmy Page!!!!!!!!!!!) & their drummer is Jason Bonham, also did Led Zep reunion….

Freddie wants Zandra Rhodes to do his wardrobe for the event, Kurt refuses to answer questions pertaining to him writing Courtney’s first album & Frank Zappa said he’s cool with the no drugs policy – reckons e never came down!!

Sceances are too too scary for me, weird stuff happens.
Sometimes communication with the living is frought with complications,
maybe the dead are easier to talk to/with.-
i agree with you pegasus – weird stuff happens. We’re just having a bit of fun naming dropping peeps we admire.
Seances are definitely not fun. I dabbled back in my early 20’s and they scared the living daylights out of me. No more messing with the dead for me. And it’s always the bad spirits that want to come out and play.
-
-
all the ones that spring to mind for me already appear above –
jim morrison
jesus
hunter s thompsonand so do a few that didn’t spring to mind but that i agree would be compelling -
orson welles
baudrillardone not appearing above who’d be a fine addition -
william s burroughs
& since other people mentioned their rellos, my grandpa who died in 1998 but of whom i constantly wish i could ask questions (he was a freemason & i knew f* all about that kind of stuff when he was alive).
-
Oh yes, well remembered
Bill Burroughs has got to be there
-
nice – william burroughs was the one I left out – but I thought he might just go to sleep lol
-
-
None of the beat poets or gonzo journalists are allowed into my seance – they’d just play tricks and they’d still be drunk!
I think I’d like Burt Lancaster. Dunno why. Don’t even like his acting. But I just remember when he died I thought: God! What’s the world without Burt Lancaster?!
-
Oh, and how about Lee Miller? The photographer who washed in Hitler’s bathtub, and whose lips were immortalised in Dali’s painting – her mouth sailing through the clouds.
-
-
absolutely and with you on Micheal Hutchence too and I’d have to have Elvis
-
spesh – any man who can say ’sorry’ like this is yours, mine, ours xox
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI94AsuvUUAthis be the michael I knew

Carl Jung, Virginia Woolf, Nikolai Gogol, Dostoyevsky, Princess Diana with music provided by Jacqueline du Pre playing Le Danse Macabre by Saint Saens.
-
I’m with you on Jung though reading my posts am obviously a bit scatty today.. his work on dreams fascinates me.
-
I love Saint Saens. So many people only know his Symphony of animals, arguable the most well known piece being “The Swan”. His Le Danse Macabre is amazing. I have a compilation CD titled “Scary Classics” and it is full of haunting, moving pieces. Come to think of it, perhaps just the right soundtrack for a seance.
-
-
king arthur and his sister, wanna know what REALLY happened…
-
Linda Goodman!
-
She would be fun. And who was that gal Ches that did the book where she talked about Pluto as being below the “boom-boom room”. God I found her book amusing…Debbie Kempton Smith? Or is that a model or somtething? lol… I forget just now as she was one of my very firsts…
-
yep but no “e” in Debbi…………….I like this description of her
“Her clients include psychiatrists, psychoanalysts, corporations, financial analysts, celebrities, politicians and human beings. DKS has come to view the future — and the horoscope — as a long, lush salad bar” .
-
-
now yr talking…….would you also include Athena Starwoman??
-
I don’t think she’d like that much as she’s still in the land of the living
-
Chesh, Athena Starwoman died several years ago.
-
this bits interesting for those who don’t know of her
-
well bugger me!! I googled and found she died the day after late hubbo had a spectacular collapse so I missed it as I was otherwise occupied. I wasn’t a Starwoman follower so it’s never crossed my path.
-
-
-
-
-
the next one I’d just have Picasso & Hemmingway,
-
or what about Marcel Marceau & Charlie Chaplin both in charactor?
-
my brother-in-law just said – he’d have jesus
the wine’d NEVER run out!
ps he’s just recovered from ‘WINE FLU’
xox -
I would invite Edgar Cayce.
I’m cursed with intense psychic abilities myself, and would love to meet the Cayce entity.
