Ok scorpalicious, got the message. I've spent so many holidays at Noosa, feels so familiar but with you on the trendification of the place. Yet fo much beauty still there. Thanks to the low rise council policy I guess and the national park is still there in all its glory. I love the Eumundi markets, Sunshine Beach beach and its' restaurants and the coastal national park walk including all the beaches. Love snorkling off Tea Tree and exploring the Fairy Pools. Devils Gate gives me the creeps but have to see it everytime we're up there. Also, the wildlife, yes have seen the koalas, goannas, and in summer always snakes. Also have done the night wildlife tours where you get to see wombats, possums, owls and other stuff. Have watched porpoises playing off the coast there many times. Never seen a whale though. Special place. But I get that if you are going through something tidal there's no place like home. xx

Hi David, I don't think my emotional outburst had anything to do with Noosa, could have been any place really. I've been taking some homeopathic potion (guinea pig for a friend who's studying), it could have been that or just the pains of transformation. Feels like I'm shedding skin or as a medium told me a few months ago - i'm a caterpiller about to turn into a butterfly. Now that I think about it, I have cocooned myself from the world the last year or so. It'll be interesting to see how I feel when I get home. My moon's in Sagg, so I love travelling and always have a great time. There's always a first for everything I suppose. Would love to hear about your close encounter special story one day over coffee next time you're in my hood. Noosa would have been much better in the 70's I reckon. It's like Double Bay on the water now and all those McMansions - eeeuuw!! Give me a straw hut any day!!
Wow so much processing to do re this short trip but it's what Scorps do best. Watched the sunset at Tea Tree bay today :)

In the 70's I used to go with mates from Sydney surfing, Noosa would be our last stop. There was one cafe then in Hastings St, and a phone booth. I stole the sign to the beach once and still have it in my parents garage..so naughty. Wonder what it is about the area that made you so emotional ?
I got chased by a shark off Ti tree bay, my only close encounter, got saved by a pilot whale, who ended up dead on the beach, its a special story , I'll have to tell you about it one day over coffee x have a great day at the markets.

Will do David! Saw a koala on my walk along the coast yesterday - really cool to see the lovely creature in it's natural habitat. Then late in the afternoon when i was studying a map of Noosa I burst into tears for no reason. It was like a tidal wave.
I was actually looking at a little ad for Eumundi markets, so if figured i must go there on Saturday - something awaits me there - an epiphany perhaps?. Feel like something big is happening. A new era? I hope so. Thank god i'm not at work, i'd be a mess. Feeling very emotional. Definitely feeling the Eclipse energy.

Christening dress ... HAHA.... can so relate!

I'm same height FA - 5?1?. I need to wear fitted clothes otherwise i look ridiculous.

I can't stand how the majority of tops and pretty blouses look like maternity wear and require a belt for any shape and belts just don't suit me. Shopping is a nightmare.
Jeans and t-shirts for me. But can't even find a decent t-shirt these days - they make them too long. To be worn over leggings i suppose. Leggings... yuk.

Can't stand gladiator sandals either. There's so much more that irks me but it's late and i have a plane to catch tomorrow - short trip to Noosa. :)

FF sweetheart, frontrunners = fashion victims at times.

The fekking things are still about town, of course, being made of leather and metal fastenings they are practically indestructible so it MUST be worn to justify the $300 investment. It does make me want to unleash a lion..just to see what would happen.

And tati, I'm 5'1" so the maxi dress is like a christening dress on me... I look like peewee without the bonnet.

Women's suits from the 40s & 50s are tailored and yet don't look uncomfortable. Feminity is absolutely intact in this suit era and a small touch of shoulder pad to give the jacket a nice drop.

Apparantely in the latest Sandra Bullock film ' The Proposal' , her suits were based on 40/50's films.
