This New Moon is conjunct Vesta - go the Sacred Flame! – and opposite Pluto…As is the Sun a few hours after the New Moon, thus extending out the whole shebang. As I always think of the Phoenix whenever Pluto is anywhere NEAR a New Moon & Vesta is the hearth/fire goddess/sacred flame et al, this really does have a vibe to it of having to burn up what is by now ravingly obviously not in your best interests…so as to free up Qi/energy/focus for what IS.
And Zero Degrees of Cancer/Kataka & Capricorn squares the ultra-powerful Aries Point – yet another omen of beginning anew AND it’s just the start of Eclipse Season. What’s not to like??? Cherchez Le Grip & get ready to ditch the Tolerations.

its a lovely Dark Moon… feel a bit Katakan and sooky-la-la as I recap the last sixteen years of motherhood – its my eldest’s birthday today (she has sun at 0 Cancer and moon at 0 Leo, Aqua Rising, Saturn in first house). (on an astro aside she was born the day my ascendant progressed to 0 Kataka).
Sadge member of my man club invited me to lunch, but I declined in order to declutter the house and prep for tutorial at college tonight… while I’m out the kids and CUB will be here celebrating eldest’s birthday including a beautiful chocolate cake baked by honourable second daughter.
So, OK… new moon is in my first house and is going to square my Nodes… wonder what that will portend?

Feeling terribly tired, but very foodie-ish (yes, I too am toro sun/kataka rising).
Managed to ‘de-clutter’ a few items from the in-box today at work – am choofing home early to do my end-of-semester marking on the couch with a mug of hot chocolate.

a fave dark moon ritual here is cleaning windows. also the fishtank at the end of my desk / table / huge thing I sit at…..the resulting clean windows are SO deeply satisfying. like inviting clarity of vision into the next phase. the phase for which I feel calmly triumphant ahead of the inevitable goals to be kicked!!

Yes! I get that. But i had to sack window cleaners with divorce. Do you have any d.i.y.tips pls? The last time i tried on my own they looked WORSE when i had finished.

TLS – DIY not be one of my better skills, tho did manage ground level windows, not many, & finally achieve mirror clean sans streaks. After not much effort or practice. But should said windows be high / tall / vast etc they remain sea stained

I use windex and newspaper. Learnt this when waitressing at a posh restaurant. it works. No smears.
And yes, clean windows ARE so very satisfying as is a clean stove.
Cleaning and housework all a tad difficult for me at the mo with my dominant arm in a sling….

No surprise I’ve been burning up “physically” for the past 4 days with a raging fever, sweats, and headaches to rival birth pains. All very cathartic. On the mend now thank the unverse jsut in time to see my son play at the Opera House tomorrow. I cleaned my fish tank too! but feeling sooky ( cancer in venus) Look forward to gentle healing astro vibes soon.

And also, apoologies if this is too tacky for this salubriuos site but is it just ME who has had huge urge to SMOKE – which i have not done for a long time – lately and what is to blame astrologically? I looked at that pic of flame and thought, honestly, how bad can smoking be? I read somewhere that some huge percent of people use illicit drugs regularly which i never do so smoking is legal and why not?
Could it truly be worse than i dont know…certain foods? But is this to do with the dark moon?-
Smoking as fine as long as you don’t particularly care for oxygen and its rather invigorating effects. It’s very aging.
I saw Marcus Graham as Oedipus Rex. It was visceral. And a damned nice production courtesy of Neil Armfield.

yeah that’s the perfect word for it robot … ennui! Spent Sunday watching all of season one of Twin Peaks and today watching all of season one of 4400 … I do actually have work to do but have been in “meetings all day” (snort!), not answering the phone and generally in “fuq it” mode. Thank god I don’t have any virgo in my chart to guilt me out about it.

The Leo Socialite – Yes! I too have had this weird urge to smoke since about wednesday last week and then on saturday I had my last one since it made me feel like dying.

After finding the cleanest apartment I’ve seen in a long time for my girls yesterday…we had happenchance and misadventure co-riding all day. Had weird go with the flow thing happening…at the end of the day being about 6pm and with the news advising about supposed heavy rain that was supposedly going to affect the hinterland I drove home through clogged city bleh rain into heavy mist and bugger all hinterland rain.
I then looked at my bed room (which was mainly just a bit messy about the fringes) and just did this whirlwind clean, dust, sweep, new linens…also switched artworks. Personal best dark moon clean ever…felt painless, and then I woke up to a beautiful sunny day in my bright, light bedroom.
Nice upswing after my flipping out a tad last week.
