Lady Revheads – What Sign?

danicaDanica Patrick

Full on go-carting aged 10, first female to win an IndyCar race & apparently now being groomed as first woman in Formula 1 series (U.S.), Danica Patrick is – ta-dah! – an Aries. And Aries IS so the sign I connect with lady-Revheads.

She’s Aries, Moon-in-Aries trined by Uranus in Saggo and opposite (interesting, this) Mars in Libra. Mercury in Pisces & Venus in Aquarius so genuinely not giving a toss about all the criticism she cops from guys who say women should  not be professional speed racers. Her tres Ramzilla personal philosophy: “Drive like you have something to prove every time.”

Lady Revheads, own up – what’s your astro-guff?

I do not consider myself a true-rev-head – hate watching car races – too noisy, crowded, smelly etc etc BUT I do love driving the fire-trucks, speshly priority 1 and I get very excited when I see a METRO red fire-truck and love talking about fire trucks to other firies…. I speshly love wearing sparkly pink nail polish, lip-gloss and pink sunglasses when driving when I’m driving the 13 tonne pumper – not sure what that means…:)

A member of my witches group is definitely obssessed with cars. Her red monaro is in cherry condition, she works for a bearings company…. she starts talking cars and the rest of us just glaze over. her enthusiasm is amazing to watch though. When she split from her husband he got the house she got the car.

she is Sun Aquarian. Very fiery energy though.

I am deeply in touch with my inner Rev-Head & my inner Bogan.
Love and appreciate the aesthetic of cars and I own several incl an old one, which has been lovingly restored. She is driven not kept in cotton wool. Don’t worry I won’t bore you with the details here ;)
I enjoy driving a lot and yes, have a lead foot & love getting up it! I like (and admire) machinery of all kinds, not just cars but also aircraft, headers, tractors etc.
Love driving our inboard V8 ski boat. Just renewed my boat licence yesterday.

I think the detail that matters here is Moon in ARIES.

You sound pretty handy Nat… trying to work out the brand of your restored vehicle, hmm, Im guessing classic aussi/american sedan ?

By the way Nat have you ever thought of working as a mercenary in Iraq, with your skills a bit of weapons training and you be a fully fledged commando :)

ha ha davidl. Yes to machinery but no good w firearms! Cancerian Sun probably not ideal for mercenary work…

Classic Aussie sedan is correct – an XK Falcon – the first model Falcon made in Australia (April 1960 to Jan 1962 I think – mine is Jan ‘62). I am not a nut about keeping cars ‘original’ so she now has vastly improved suspension, brakes, electric fuel pump etc. but outwardly she appears straight & is re-sprayed the original colour (Broadmeadows green body with Botany green roof). She is lovely to drive – kind of like waltzing, espec before the suspension improved!

Hubbo has an XM ute (‘64) in the same series. Some people enjoy seeing older cars on the road and many have stories they connect with particular Aussie cars (long family holidays, first girlfriend, first pash… etc.!). We never EVER do shows or rallies with our cars – just drive them.

I recently bought a 6 speed manual diesel and love it.

Someone had a go at me the other day about enjoying a V8 ski boat… I figure that we have tooled up to a state of the art solar system and tank water & are self sufficient in that regard, so I think we have some carbon credits, ha ha.

The hottest car I’ve seen lately is a 65 Mustang Conv. in mint condition. The lady who owns it wears pretty 60’s style frocks is about 35, and has a subtle vamp deep south look. She once came to my door (carrying a sun umbrella), she is a Jehovas Witness and her husband is the local leader of the JW community.
Interesting, I’d say she was a scorp for sure.
If I see her under the car doing repairs one day, or bent over the bonnet fiddling with one of the pistons, I’ll make sure I look away quickly, don’t want to burn in hell or anything.

Aries definitely. My Taurus sun/Aries rising and venus/Sagg moon sister had her first car at 17 or 18 – a hotted up ford escort lol, her bf at the time was bogan. Now she has evolved to the Italian sports car (black) but she has had a series of red cars over the years. Wouldn’t call her a rev head per se but cars always impt to her. I have Taurus Jupiter in the third have always had a good relationship with cars; favourite would have to be the silver Audi A4 1.8 Turbo Quatro sports bought just before my daughter started school. Loved driving that car but v expensive upkeep. Now I’m a very practical slate blue/grey 7 seater with street legal tinted windows. First automatic I’ve ever driven and has armrests! So comfy and sedate almost, slip around unnoticed. Lovely 8-)

I wouldn’t call myself a rev head by any stretch, but oh, do I love the idea of the car – the freedom, the ability to go anywhere, to just hit the road and drive. Pitched a huge tanty on holiday when we hired a moke since I canlt drive manual . The fact we were on an island and there was nowhere to really drive was irrelevant. I hate not being in the driver’s seat. Aqua sun in the 9th – a private jet, flying saucer or magic carpet would be event better than a car!

So while I agree Aires makes the best rev head, I think Sags would have deep love for the car as a chariot, a noble steed and Taurus would get unreasonably excited about something big and slow and stately that got one from a to b in style and just drove over any obstacle (a rolls? or a tank perhpas? *LOL*)

Generally, I watch my speed driving around town (Aries Sun and Mars on the AC…sounds almost impossible, eh?)

One time though, after I’d gotten my Honda, I drove to a boyfriend’s and went 100 miles an hour on the freeway nearly the whole way (hour drive). Was a blast and could not believe my good fortune when I came up behind two CHP’s (Calif. Hwy Patrol) cars. They were going 95.

Don’t do that now though…Just chill along and besides the fwy out here in the desert is 70 mil per hour which is fast enough for me.

Nat, I had a ‘67 Ford Falcon (was/is your Falcon a Ford or is the XK exclusively Aussie?), but totalled it at 16 yrs. old…

When I had a VW I could not afford the repair, so I bought the new thermostat for the radiator, got under the car and drained the radiator and put the new thermostat in myself. And changed my own headlight and of course changed my own tires. The time my muffler was held up with rope though and I had to lay in the parking lot at the grocery store to tigthen it is where I eventually drew the line…

Always said that’s what I missed about not having a husband who took care of the cars…Now I have “AAA” for road side emergencies. Priceless but with my Honda have never used/needed it…

I adore my Honda (sorry American car makers but they do a better job )

I used to race motorcycles as a hobby, but I would not consider myself a rev-head.

My guess for top spots of rev-heads:

    First: Aries
2nd: Tie between Leo & Saggo
    3rd: Taurus!!

Every Aries I know both male and female think they are race car drivers behind the wheel on an everyday commute. The Leos and Saggos in my life actually prefer a little more “formal” circumstance to race…that is to drive out to the nearest track away from the common drivers and race each other out there. And Taurus is like a secret fiend for racing and i don’t know why. Maybe it’s just the Taureans I know. Most of them are into a special kind of racing called autocross where you race one at a time with cones. They also seem to get a lot of speeding tickets too (the ones i know)!

When I think about it, forget the cars, give me a fighter jet any day…lol. My ex was an engineer on the F14 and had a Top Gun baseball cap which I lovingly wore to work out in…My Aries Dad a pilot…Don’t think cars were ever really fast enough for him either…

Racing motorcycles was fun but i have no natural talent for it. And it’s such an expensive hobby to boot. I gave it up for rocks. Climbing rocks is much safer.

Your family likes to get it on in July-ish? =^_^= So many Ram-babies! Pilots too? I used to have these 2 neighbours down the street who are like 80 or something. fairly old. One of them is for sure an Aries and the other is suspect. They like race their riding lawn-mowers. *sweatdrop*

I’m a petrol head have always loved cars for as long as I can remember. I own a HSV and love, love driving her she’s not just your average V8 she’s bitchin’, gutsy, angry sounding, I often take off out to the 130km open road in her just to…… think. She’s a real spunk to lol. A real drivers car, cornering, stopping, acceleration is all very smooth it gives me joy. I’ve never been a burnout person it makes me cringe, though I’ve been known in my younger days to got to the drag track because I liked to beat the boys. I don’t watch the V8 Supercars because it’s just shite but sometimes watch the racing utes (commentary is highly entertaining). I also own a Crewman ute she’s much more slower my lounge on wheels.

I have a HR licence (heavy rigid) which I need to drive our small work truck. I’m in the process of working my way up to an articulated licence. I love trucks & utes more than cars.

I love fast cars…. its my Aries Rising, cos the Aqua mad mother is the same, and she’s got Aries Asc too! Her work car at one point was a Holden S pack (one of those bright green ones a few years ago…) none of us ever got a speeding ticket in it, cos we KNEW we had the grunt for anything. When she got down graded by dopey office politics back to an acclaim, none of us could handle it, and we all got busted hammering it. Only just now working back up to full points!
However for years my pride and joy was an ‘85 Saab 5 Door Coupe – low slung sports car, with grunt. I loved that car, but it did finally get too expensive to maintain, esp as it was one of the rare ones built in the US for some reason, and a b*tch to get parts for. My mechanic is still traumatised…..
I am now car-less, and hire one when neccessary, and have worked out that getting a luxury car for those excursions is well worth it – last week it was an XR6 – I’m not a ford girl, but it was fun!

I like the Valiants and Dodges – I learnt to drive manual in a ‘74 Dodge ute, standard H column shift, and no hydraulic clutch in the QEII!! I swore I’d broken my foot after the first lesson!
I turned up to a babysitting job in the Ute one time, and the family were a bit nonplussed I wasn’t in my Saab – as the dad said to the mum – well, she must be one tough b*tch! I laughed when told that!!
But as my dad said, if you can drive and reverse park this, you can drive anything – and its true! The QEII is definately a Driving Experience…
As for HSV utes – like ‘em too. The best one I ever saw was a big black beastie, all the extra’s + a miniture pug in the tray yapping its demented head off as it tried to see over the side! Funniest sight I ever did see.
