How do i figure this out? I have my chart from astrodienst, but what do all those little numbers mean? For example, next to Aquarius it says 12Aqua 31′ 23″. Aquarius and Pisces are in my 9th and 10th houses respectively, but I can’t figure out what degrees.
I’m a complete novice at this, help!

seabird – there are 30 degrees per sign, so you have whatever planet in Aqua at 12.31 degrees. At the bottom of the astrodienst chart there will be a box with all your planets and their signs and degrees. Under that is a table with the degree of your ascendant (AC), midheaven (MC), and some other house cusp degree/sign eg 2nd, 3rd, 11th, 12th. If you print the chart at 100% it may cut this bit off. Lower to 75% and it will print (the option is on the page where you chose whatever chart you want, ie natal/natal and transits etc). Hope this helps.

I think I see what’s going on here – when you look at the transit charts you need to look at what the transits are aspecting in your natal chart – is that what you’re doing?
if you make a ‘natal with transits’ chart and view it you can click on the
additional pdf tables and as you scroll down you can see a table that has the transiting planets down one side, and your natals along the top. Run your eyes along the row with the Jupiter symbol yes? That’s where you’ll find your Jupiter transits of the moment.Forgive me, too, if you already know this and I’m just misunderstanding your post.

so we say that transiting planets move to make aspects to natal planets

that little asterix is the symbol for sextile – these are good, and mean opportunities (the trine is more like an easy flow) that you can take action on… something to think about, espesh where Jupiter sextile Mars comes into play.

if i’m reading it right i’m getting a heap of messages to get myself back to some solid routinised work/health action and manifest some fantastic relationship.
I’ve aquarius in the 6th house and the 17 to 23 perfectly covers that, and my piscean moon. And jupiter natally in taurus in the 8th, which is also where venus, mercury were hanging out, with my gemini sun in the 8th as well.
I hope i’m reading it right cause i’ve got a big fat load of work to get done by the middle of july and could probably do with some luck with regard to 8th house things….
Although that mars in taurus thing kind of implies i should be doing work on the 8th? its probably more the 6th that needs the solid work ethic…
funnily though the thing i’m slogging away at is a literature review on community – which is kind of a mercury in the 8th thing?

17 aqu to 23 pisces pretty much describes my ninth house… so Jupiter is responsible for my opportunity to study starting next week to become an alchemical psychologist/therapist….
right now Jupes is trine my moon,
coming up to square my Mercury (although that won’t happen for yonks now will it because Jupiter will go retro any tick of the clock),
similarly sextiling Saturn (but like Merc is at 0 degrees of their sign so a way off yet) and
quite closely squaring Neptune and Part of Fortune. Yay. Jupiter square anything is never bad, they say. But I’m worried this one will make me even more delusional than I have been for three years over that CUB. (grr)Actually I felt rather ripped off when Jupiter was in my seventh and eighth houses because I had no opportunities for either marriage or getting my hands on other people’s money. (unless I can count on the house my father ‘bought me’ then sold out from under the kids and I to avoid death by Brazilian Drug Lords or Whatever). You may be able to tell I’m a bit miffed about all of that.
So I’m not going to hold my breath for a second husband (ninth house rules the second husband under derivitive house rules – ask Kim Falconer as she’s a wizz with these) or a long distance trip. But wouldn’t it be lovely?!
Jupiter DOES rule my seventh house (sadge) and is located in my fourth house, so these things do occur to me…

I guess it depends on where you live, but my gay male friends seem to have no trouble putting themselves out there on the net or socially, and they’ve done rather well. It helps if you live in one of the big metros, so scrub up, wear your best Christian Dior cologne and go where you’ll be noticed.

Ok, TA, if you are still up, (or anyone else for that matter) I think I get it – but like Matt, I’m a newie at this. According to Astro.com I have Aqaurius at 12.31 degrees in the 9th house, followed by Pisces in the 10th house at 16.38 degrees. Jupiter is in the tenth house as well. How will this affect me? I have been going through an enormous amount of internal changes at the moment, and also considering which direction life/career/love will go (realising finally at my advanced age that one actually has a choice in the matter). Lol 9th house rules second husbands, not sure if ready for one of those, but what do the 9th and 10th houses represent, according to people here. I google them but the answers seem a bit cut-and-dried. I like the more creative (2nd husband) approach.

Wracking brain here for more…its the second husband under the derived house system by some obscure rule of horary astrology that Kim Falconer would be able to explain beautifully – and by the same token its the children of your children (the fifth house from the fifth house)… Jupiter is the ‘natural ruler’ of the ninth because he rules Sadge, which is the ninth sign of the zodiac… so all things Jovial fall under ninth house matters.
there’s all sorts of other interesting facts about the ninth, like about succedent houses etc but my brain is coming down off toblerone and I must go to bed

Hey seabird, i have similar – Aqua in 9th & Pisces in 10th also w jupiter in 10th. I am just about to resign from a dynamic job that i have had for ages & feel like i’ve learnt what i can & need to change.(and have absolutely been allowing myself to be taken advantage of)… Ive had my head down working my butt off – while internally struggling madly w it. I have décided to pack it in & go travelling for a couple of months, while i try to find my next career move. I think thé 9th house can be about overseas travel & the 10th is représentative of profession/career/calling. Interesting non? Does any of that resonate w you?

Last year I kicked it in as a single mother in the inner city and headed for a job in an obscure part of the Middle East, so i suppose I am already doing the ninth house thing. except that, finally being away from the thing that normally fill one’s single-mother head (how will i pay the electricity, how will I organise to pick the kid up today, oh please don’t be sick, not now etc…) i find that i am thinking quite inwardly a lot. It’s very strange, it’s like I went overseas in order to have the space and time to process all that has gone on in the last decade (a lot), and in order to find myself. And to find out what I’m really supposed to be doing in life. So this is all a bit relevant, because the thing i am trying to do at the moment is that zen thing – if you don’t know what to do, do nothing. it doesn’t sound very Jupiterish, does it! But the weirdest thing of all for me, the professional itinerant, is that I’m earning more money than I ever have in my life, while working less – giving me the space to do all this processing. Go figure!

when you say aspects, Ms Motown, are you talking about aspects to your natal from the transiting Jupiter?
because if your Saturn is at 20 Aqua then Jupiter has just been conjunct, will retrograde back over it again and then pass one last time before jollying it up (thanks Uber) through the rest of your seventh house. See Mystic’s interp of Jup-Saturn above
and Jupiter – Moon is rather nice too (Jupiter anything is nice, no matter what) and as I said to Matt, can meen blessings from significant women. I also get a visual of Titian’s Danae (Jupiter bestowing blessings in the form of raining gold down upon her lap, not to mention knocking her up) with Jupiter-Moon transits. In Bikinis on the beach (exposed tatts & all) not a hint of hassle. Wont hesitate to visit again & explore further – good for you!

Natal Jupiter: 9 Scorpio, sextile Venus + MC/Lillith, in 7th House (my 7th is loaded with Jup, Pluto, Saturn, Mercury), ruler of 9th.
I have no (apart from some mysterious asteroids, like one called Lust) planets in the above mentioned areas of Aquarius to Pisces and the whole Jupiter transit is going to unfold in the 12th House. So difficult to detect for me, what it actually means. But Jove will oppose my Leo Moon and then Venus and Sun in Virgo (all in 6th House).
And I do remember what happened when Jupiter actually conjuncted my Moon in 2002. I went for a year of travelling and I got pregnant. Simultaneously there was the (generational) Uranus Square happening, and Uranus is square my Moon natally, thus at the time of the transit, did oppose my moon by transit. So I am not sure, whether the travel/pregnancy was about Jove or Uranus…
Anyway, does anyone of you have a clue on Jupiter through the 12th with regards to the transits it will make to moon, venus, sun? or will it be like some subliminal and undetectable expansion of my Inner Exile, well kept secrets and ancient baggage?

Yes I conceived my first child too when transiting Jupiter conjuncted my natal Jupiter at 9 degrees pisces back in 1998. Mine is on cusp of 10th/11th house.
Not sure what this upcoming jupiter return will bring – hopefully something good with all the neptune/chiron/aquarius energy attached to it at the moment.

Does that mean Jupiter will be transiting those areas, and does that mean I’ll finally have a nice long-term relationship, with a deeper involvement in psychic/spiritual matters?Besides that, Jupiter is currently sextiling natal Uranus & trining natal Mars, and squaring my natal Sun. Any ideas?
