Then, when I was 15, he came to visit with his (late) wife and I hid in my room: I was completely overwhelmed by him. I thought I was going to have a nose-bleed he affected me so much and I am sure I filed him away for future reference. He kept asking why I wouldn't talk to him and after they left I was told off by (also late) Aries father for 'being rude'. Most family members are OK with it now, although the drunk, appalled relative (a rather unworldly and unbalanced Libran) still won't talk to me. In hindsight it was rather funny, she was screaming the I-word at me, banging on about the depravity of it all, and I said, "The Queen & Prince Phillip are related, & they're OK." Could I have come up with a more pathetic example of functional consanguinity? Then the Libran ran screaming into Cancerian's bedroom, jumped on him and started thumping his chest and ... he slept all the way through it. I went to bed thinking, I hope I am really drunk and this is a bad dream, but woke up next day and alas, it wasn't. Anyway, as Natalie Barney once said, the great thing about a scandal is that it gets everything out into the open. Most of the family don't really care now, although the unbalanced Libran still won't talk to me and my mother (Capricorn) is hostile towards him and pass-agg to me. But yes, you're absolutely right about intermarriage between members of the aristocracy. No big deal. And I can understand the benefits: we don't have to explain anything to each other. We know each other's story, the skeletons in each other's family closets, we understand each other's weirdness. All up, I think I managed it quite well: govt bonus spent wisely on bills, credit card repayment & exquisite winter coat bought online while I stayed at home in PJs & worked non-stop for two days on paper re ethnic insurgency in Burma. The kind of writing when you break off at 2am and are back it 5 hours later and it's exhilarating, hit-the-bone stuff, not crap. Didn't see Cancerian bf (Sagg Moon, Cap Rising), we're at the negotiating boundaries stage & both sulking. The Scorpionic factor? We're second cousins so the usual/normal stages of a relationship were delayed by a year of 'do we tell family, don't we tell family' & relishing the illicitness of it all. We ended up telling some family but all hell broke loose at Christmas when drunk family member who didn't know overheard drunk family member who did know talking about us on the phone and starting screaming (literally) the I-word & it wasn't "illicit." So, I really enjoyed my Scorpio Full Moon: it was quiet & productive & I made resolution that while I love Cancerian deeply, there are certain deal-breakers & he needed to know what they are. That's a breakthrough for me, I used to be rather weak in the boundaries department, especially if sex was good. Now integrity matters. At a bar Friday night with friends, a woman who seemed clearly bipolar attached herself to me and was creepily over-familiar and kept trying to dump her husband/marriage/family problems into my ears. After a point I had no more tolerance and had to (nicely) tell her that I didn't want to hear her issues, I just wanted to hang out with my friends. Ugh. Had a lovely day running around, spending money like mad. Bought a furniture set off a girl who is unloading her possessions after a break-up (sad)...she confided in me a little about that. Then I hung out with my Cancerian girlfriend who was on a major downswing (she is also bipolar but usually fine!), and we got deep into some issues but we ended up having a nice time anyway and I was happy to be able to help cheer her up. One thing of note: was hoping to dream about my Cancer coworker crush to see if I could get a hint about the future. It was my entire work team, all piled into some water or other thick, viscuous liquid. Everyone was lined up closely behind each other, almost lying on top of each other. I was on top of the Cancerian...guess what hard thing I felt poking into my back? hahahahaaaaa, even in the dream, I was like "Well, I guess he does like me!" Made sense in a funny way...his whole sideways and "from behind" approach to flirting with me. Still don't know what will happen in the future, but I'm not concerned about it.
