Saturn-Uranus, Applying Hard…

Go the Saturn-Uranus Opposition.

It is the astro-theme of 2009 & we all get to play it out in some way or another.  The next pass of it is not exact till early Feb but the two planets are merely a few degrees apart. This aspect is applying hard right now. The New Moon Eclipse on Jan 26 is in Aquarius – ruled by Saturn in the olden days & Uranus now. Fantastic new Uranian-Aquarian style visions beckon us into the future whilst Saturnine details demand to be honoured…Now. There is also an internal tug of war between giving a shit what the world thinks of one and the Uranian urge to give society the finger. But if the Saturn side of life (reputation, hard work, security needs, health, sleep, being decent) is not paid homage to, you can say ‘up yours’ to whomever you want but nobody will believe you. Uranian freedom is hard won but it’s fun. Everyday the Saturn-Uranus opposition arcs up: the diet or the big brainstorming lunch? The sedate relationship of tranquility or the bats but individuated romance that looks real bad on paper? Uranus implodes paradigms & structures that aren’t that real in the first place. But indulge in pointless rebellion under such stars & Saturn comes along to clobber one. The trick is – easy to type, I know – is balancing out both these wildly different astro-energies. Take your vitamins, get enough sleep, do your budget and only then do all the disorderly merde.

Does anyone have any useful Saturn-Uranus Opposition tips???

    Saturn uranus management tips…

How about…if you have some dreams that need to be realised, apply saturnine strategies to the ideas to see how they can really work. Like, a business plan / 3 year plan for the design/photography/travel journalism dream. Get an ABN. Talk to people who already do what you are dreaming about (or do similar-ish work). Apply for out-of-hours work experience if you can, soaking up knowledge form the ground up – sweeping up cuttings from the patternmaking floor. Slog, as they say…

and i suppose: don’t forget the day job in the meantime as that’s what’s helping you pay the bills !

UP, omg, that’s what has just started for me! Brilliant advice! I’m trying to get a job that’ll pay for the bills and more importantly keep the roof over my head, while keep pursuing the vet nurse avenue. Initial plans completely thrown overboard, so changes had to be implemented. Thank you so much for putting that succinctly! I was omg-ing as I was reading it, holy shite…

hey wow! that’s cool. thansk UPV..I was sort of thinking i needed to add bits about watching out for surprise encounters with the head honcho of your dream career / the person who can make the vital connection for one to hit the bigtime etc. .. :)
good luck with the vet nurse path…a blessing to work with animals
        i think!

I actually woke up this morning at about 4.45am thinking I need to do a project plan. I need to chart the critical time points that I need to achieve so I can do what I want to next year. Also so I know when strategic cash, needs to flow to enact neccesary changes.

It’s been building for a while now…the knowing/acting/needing structure to underpin my dreams…but this morning was a slightly scary detailed focussed variation on my way to getting my wings prepped. I think I realised the time dependancy and interwoven-ness of it all would be clearer if I used my business training on me.

I think once I have it down on paper it will be clearer what the priorities are…I’m still up for planning to allow time for serendipity too, though, just with a firm grounding. Strange days.

Hmm. Wow. The bats but individuated relationship that looks bad on paper totally resonating with me. My Saturnine Imperative? Utter focus on work begging for my attention, not as a distraction but as a foundation for fiscal independence and my freedom. So no matter what, I know I am taking care of business.

And yes, to be honest, to work silently has been zen for all my wordless grief.

I’ve had big dreams for about the last year – but realised about a month ago it’s got to go in small steps … and it seems that there has to be a chronological order to it. the dream came out in a certain kind of way – and it seems that it need to be played out in reality following those same steps.

    Now does that sound bats?

Going to pay for my domain names before mercury goes truly batty and then just sit on it until after the Chinese New Year.

Please don’t judge my moss green geometry thingie I have not yet gravalaxed or whatever.

OK I just rebelled… The NLP freaks got to me and I quit my job – an on the spot kind of the hell with saturn embrace uranus liberation moment immediately followed by dramatic clearing of sinuses and expelling of mucous – my body just let go… Suddenly I can hear again and although the thought of obtaining another job is a little daunting in the current the freedom vibe is well worth it. I just can’t do drones and clones. Lovely husband told me he didn’t care if we lived on lentils – I’m great with dahl – I just had to cut to the chase so he could have me back with a smile on my face. So PJ Harvey, a bath and getting on with my essay on the glory of gothic art is all I have in store for my full moon wacky weekend.

Made redundant on the first pass of this rut jarring aspect, given the current state of the economy and thus job market, hoping the second pass at least turns up a temporary position to enable us to pay the bills. Partner (Aries, Aries) made redundant 2 weeks ago as well.
Though have to say have been enjoying the full time Mum thing, but I need my balance back! Argh

    Thank’s Orangeblossom.
I’m trying to see the positive side of it all. I tend to be a bit Saturnian (comes from Saturn close to my MC I guess!)
Never had the chance to be a stay at home Mum and at least our eldest daughter had both parents there for first day at school, which would have been more difficult previously. I’ve now got the cluster of planets in my eighth house and my husband in his 10th, so astrologically we’re looking good.

PS Saturn – what a wet blanket that must be – I wonder what the positive manifestation for that energy is… there’s gotta be one

O its most excellent that you can see the positive side to it – life’s such a crap place sometimes – i mean really it totally is – and the only way to find your way out of the dark corners it to look for the crack where the lights coming in.

I spent years doing psychic / tarot readings for people and the one thing I noticed was that the people who were able to see the good were the ones who always had the most miraculous kick-arse turnarounds of their situations – and some of them were having a really bad time – one guy I always think of him was being wrongly accused for murder – they couldn’t get enough evidence and so just hounded him and followed him for years and I think there may have been rape involved too – he was innocent, it ruined his life – he lost his fiancee and almost his career but he never gave up trying to see the way through and finally they found the right person and he was let off. His powers of endurance and resilience were an inspiration to me.

It made me realise it’s not so much about luck this life, as about being able to SEE the luck and the goodness when it shows itself. Enjoy your opportunity for time with your kids – even tho I understand it’s not easy – they’re only children once and there’s so much to share that isn’t about money. xxxx
